  1. Hoss, MaryAnne and BL got it right. Hey MaryAnne, where'd that picture of Denver come from? On the episode "Twin Trouble" what did Rosco and Enos use as patrol vehicles? A) nothing, they walked solar powered mopeds C) bicycles D) horses with sirens on their heads E) 3 wheel ATVs F) patrol cars painted green G) none of the above
  2. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  3. Wow, we think alike Meadowmufn. "Simple Man" is my favorite CDB song. Actually it's tied with "What This World Needs is a Few More Rednecks." I'm a huge CDB fan but "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" barely squeaks in at the bottom of my top 10 favorite CDB songs. Trace Adkins was talking about Charlie once and compared his creative abilities to Steven King's. The man's a genius at 75 and still going strong. Speaking of creatitivy, please go back to teasing Brian now.
  4. Speaking of names, just my bad luck, the only person ever named Roger on the show was a bad guy. Duke Gaylord Duke was really Roger Blevins back in England. Hey Hoss, I didn't know there were any bad guys in England. By the way, I don't know what Roger Blevins' real name was....sounds like a job for that good guy (originally) from England...take it away Hoss!
  5. I know a little bit about a lot of things but only know a lot about two things.... and those two things are astronomy and The Dukes of Hazzard. It's nice to see astronomy stuff on the HazzardNet! Great job James!
  6. I'd like to interrupt this silliness with a serious announcement about my second favorite white-bearded redneck... Today (Oct 28) is Charlie Daniels' 75th birthday. Charlie is one of the most patriotic fellers I've ever met. So patriotic in fact that he was born on the 50th birthday of the Statue of Liberty. Happy birthday to these two great Americans!
  7. .....and according to my trusty notebook, Lake Sherwood is from season 2, "Arrest Jesse Duke". You're right Brian. It was Luke. The episode "Route 7-11" revealed that Jesse Duke's Grandaddy worked where? A) the US Cavalry the B&O Railroad C) the Erie Canal D) Sheriff of Capitol City E) bartender in Sleepy City F) gambling boats G) Texas Ranger H) a computer engineer for Facebook
  8. LOL I don't have a bid either. Remember I picked the Braves to win it all and they didn't even make the playoffs. Oh well, go Rangers! ......and Go Pirates in 2012!
  9. Nice job Hoss. I remember Alabama but couldn't think of which episode.
  10. MaryAnne and Hoss got it right. We hear the name Robin Hood on the opening song of each episode but who mentioned Robin Hood on "Happy Birthday General Lee?" A) Bo Luke C) Daisy D) Jesse
  11. Mars bar
  12. Wow! What an intense ninth inning in game 2. Now that the series is tied at one game each I'm making the bold claim that the Rangers will win the next three in a row.
  13. Thanks for telling us Hot Rod. They have a great facility there and it's always a good time. I've met Rosco and Enos there and I'm looking forward to seeing Luke. It's been a long time since I've seen him.
  14. What a coincidence! Right after I posted this my grandson turned the TV station to one of the Disney channels and there is a kid named Rufus on there! It's a show called "So Random"
  15. Very Nice!! That is so awesome! Just be careful with that thing. It might have the heart to jump those ravines out there but I don't think it has the horsepower.
  16. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  17. Hey Garrett, I see you quoted from my post before I edited it. Later a light bulb went off over my head and I realized "Hey, I did know that." LOL
  18. In my fantasy episode I would have a farm that borders the Dukes farm. I'd live there with my family and I'd be good friends with the Dukes. I'd always go to Jesse for advice just like Bo, Luke and Daisy do. In this episode the Charlie Daniels Band would get caught in Rosco's celebrity speedtrap and I would help Charlie and his boys find justice in Hazzard County by using all the tools available to me, like my friendships with the Dukes, Cooter and some of the other townsfolks. In the end, I'd be sitting on the Dukes porch with Charlie and Jesse looking over the corn and talk about God, America and family for hours. Later we'd head down to the Boar's Nest where Charlie and his band would perfom "What This World Needs is a Few More Rednecks."
  19. I thought it would be fun to hear everyone's idea of a personalized fantasy Dukes episode. Here's the rules.... 1) Keep it brief. This isn't fanfic. 2) Try to put youself in the episode but that's NOT required. It is a fantasy after all, and all of us want to visit Hazzard so it would be fun to hear what you'd like to do there. 3) Remember this is a PG site....okay PG-13 maybe....but even then you're asking from trouble from the moderators....how 'bout PG-12. 4) You can do as many as you want. 5) Only make it a one part story....like I said, this isn't fanfic.
  20. Hoss and BL got all three right. No cheating by checking your DVDs on these five.... Which are the real episode names? Trouble at Cooter's Garage OR Trouble at Cooter's The New Dukes OR The New Dukes of Hazzard Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard OR Cale Yarborough Visits Hazzard Southern Comfurt Cousins or Southern Comfurts Sky Bandits Above Hazzard OR Sky Bandits Over Hazzard
  21. Thanks for posting this TRPColtrane. I see the ceremony will be in January. Cale has his own thread here and his induction was announced there on June 15. That was Waylon's birthday and Luke's birthday....Luke my grandson, not Luke Duke. So, I had three things to celebrate in one day! Congratulations Cale Yarborough...and others.
  22. I've been saying it for years... We have the best three moderators on the web!
  23. I wonder if CMT has to pay for each show they air or if they pay for the rights and then can air as many episodes as they want anytime they want. I have Dish network and they have something called RFD TV. They play episodes of Hee Haw....in fact they recently had a young Waylon on. It would be nice if a network played Dukes on a regular basis but not everybody gets RFD TV and they probably couldn't afford to buy the rights to Dukes. I know the idea of TVLAND getting Dukes has come up here before. That would be nice. I really like watching the Dukes when I know others are watching the same episode at the same time. For some reason I just feel more connected to Hazzard County when I know other fans are smiling at the same time I am.
  24. Good job of remembering which episode that was Hoss. "The Dukes of Hatchapee".....yuck That episode was pretty emotional for me and still is. Just the thought of the Dukes not living in their farmhouse is downright scary.
