  1. Garrett is right. This is super easy. A lot of folks here know how bad I am with computers but yahoo fantasy sports is even easy for an old timer like me. You do need a yahoo e-mail address to sign up. A lot of people (like me) don't use their yahoo e-mail since they already had a different e-mail account before beginning fantasy sports but I'm pretty sure it's still required. Also, I think Garrett is permitting anybody to join the league so you can write down the info and pass it on to anybody who is a NASCAR and/or fantasy sports fan. Start your engines!..... next month.
  2. Hi BL We haven't chatted for awhile. I hope you're doing well.

  3. ocean (I refuse to be on the receiving end of Hoss's "dubious geography" comments so I'm traveling to Portugal's west coast and hopping on a boat and sailing to Changesubjectvania)
  4. We've been pretty competitive against each other for about three years now. I suppose it's because we've been doing fantasy sports together for that long. Agreeing with you is boring....besides, I think folks here like seeing us fight. Hazzard folks are a competitive bunch you know.
  5. That stinks Hoss. Hallmark is still running this movie a lot today too. I'm not sure how long they'll continue though. Hey MM do you know anything about my last sentence from two posts ago?
  6. We already have a winner of the Super Bowl Contest two weeks before it's going to be played. (We're way ahead of our time here on the HazzardNet) The original pickes were.... Meadowmufn....Seahawks over Broncos Roger.....Falcons over Texans Garrett....49ers over Broncos Since the 49ers are the only team left I declare Garrett the winner... Now on to the next contest....pick the Super Bowl winner between the 49ers and Ravens (obviousely there might be more than one winner) You didn't have to play in the first contest to play in this one. I want both teams to lose but since that can't happen I'm picking the Ravens.
  7. Rosco skidded the Cougar to a stop in front of the Duke farm. The cloud of dust didn't stop so quickly. It continued on past the car toward a nearby pile of hay. Rosco and Boss got out and looked around. From his moonshining days Boss always made a habit of looking around to see if there was any trouble to be found. He looked toward the barn and saw Jesse looking out with only his shoulders and head visible while he leaned over to get a view. Jesse sneered with disgust at Boss and then turned around and went out of sight back into the barn. Boss took a puff of his long fat cigar, exhaled and walked over to Rosco instructing him on what to do. "Nothing! Do you hear that Rosco?! You say absolutely nothing in this here meeting. Not a sentence, not a word, letter, peep, sneeze, cough or sniffle. Nothing!" Rosco shook his head yes in compliance and Boss walked in first with his sheriff close behind. Boss took his hat off, hung it on a hook beside Jesse's red hat and Bo's Jeff Gordon hat. He then took another puff, looked at Gordon then Thom Aussler. Boss stuck his bottom lip out and nodded. "Gentlemen. I certainly hope we can settle this matter once and for all to everybody's satisfaction." He and Rosco sat down at the negotiating table.
  8. Shucks....hey, check out the PM I just sent you.
  9. After trailing 0-17 the 49ers went on a 28-7 run. Pretty impressive. I'm not very happy. If the Ravens beat the Patriots I won't even watch the Super Bowl since I'd want both teams to lose and it wouldn't be any fun for me. I just might watch 4 episodes of Dukes instead.
  10. Awesome movie!!!!!!!!!! I know what you're thinking, Roger Duke only thinks it was awesome because of the Dukes connection but that's not true at all. I really loved it and thought that the writing, directing and acting were all first rate. I enjoyed every minute of it! But of course the Dukes connections were awesome. Yes, Redneck Girl, I did see the Bo Duke poster in her room. It was hard to miss. I could also make out John Schneider's autograph. Since that was her room when she was younger I assume she was a Bo fan. Imagine that.......Sheriff Rosco's daughter being in love with a Duke boy! How scandelous! I also enjoyed hearing Rosco say "I love it. I love it!" and "Good grief!" The first happened when he was playing poker on the sidewalk and the second was later in the movie when they were also on the sidewalk. I was wondering if Jimmie's real life daughter had a cameo appearence. I see her name listed on the credits (writing and directing I believe) but I thought I saw a customer in the bakery that looked like it might be her.
  11. After jumping off to a 17-0 lead, the Falcons are settling for a 24-14 lead at halftime.
  12. Clem Smethfield spoke up because he knew what was going to hit him. "You aint taking my car Rosco. Not without me." Rosco "Sure Clem, you can come along." Boss "Rosco, you idiot. Didn't you hear that Aussler feller say the deal's off if we bring anybody. Now hop in." Clem stood by the drivers door. "Oh no you don't" Boss "Now listen here Clem. Your poor widowed mother-in-law is two months behind on her mortgage. Now you wouldn't want me to foreclose would you?" Clem "That would mean she'd move in with me!" Boss "Sure would." Clem "You wouldn't" Rosco "He would." Clem moved out of the way letting Rosco and Boss get in the Cougar. Hughie moved over to the car. "Um, Uncle Boss, what about me and my friends. None of these vehicles are driveable." Boss "Well, they're in the medical profession ain't they? They should know walking's good for you. Get started." Rosco put the Cougar in gear and threw dust and gravel on Hughie and his friends as he accelerated. Hughie coughed. His fake doctor commented "That cough sounds pretty bad." Hughie "It's just from the dust, I ain't sick doc.....what am I saying. You're not a real doctor. You're a scam artist just like your fake nurse." He responded. "It takes one to know one Hughie." Rosco fishtailed the Cougar around the first curve and smiled at how well it handled. "Khee Khee. Hey Boss, the only thing in Hazzard County that's going faster than this vehicle is your brain trying to figure out what to say at the meeting."
  13. Thanks to you Hoss there's a lot of things related to the Dukes of Hazzard that I've never seen before and now I can add another to the list. This is the first time I've ever seen an older picture of Peggy. Thanks so much for sharing it. I sure miss her. What a beautiful lady Peggy (and Lulu) was!
  14. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  15. I have it recorded on the DVR so I'll check it out Sunday. I did sneak and watch the last five minutes. Shucks, now I know how it ends but I just couldn't resist. Rosco looked great! What an amazing actor. It was so great to see him!
  16. Canada
  17. Not only that but I see you're approaching your ninth anniversary on HazzardNet!

  18. We're approaching our 100th post on the RP!

  19. Rocky
  20. I loved those last two sentences. I'm like that too!
  21. Another of Boss's recently sworn in deputies, Clem Smethfield pulled up to the wrecked vehicles driving his black 1968 Cougar just before Aussler called Boss. Boss grabbed Clem's CB and looked to the sky in deep thought and then Hughie chimed in, "You're not going to give into him are you Uncle Boss? This is your county. Yours and yours alone. Don't let that feller act like he's calling all the shots." Boss would have none of his nephew's plea. "All right Aussler, I reckon we can work something out here. Me and my sheriff will meet you at the Duke Farm in an hour. You tell them Dukes to give us some space. I don't want them meddlin' in on official police business. And the same applies to you. Just you and that hot shot driver of yours better be there and NO ONE ELSE or the deal's off. Over and out." Hughie was disappointed. "Uncle Boss!" Boss wasted no time in responding, "Now you hush nephew. If you'd been through what I'd been through with that Gordon feller you'd be itchin' to give in a little yourself. I gotta admit I underestimated him. Trying to reel in Jeff Gordon is like hooking onto a barracuda when you were expecting a minnow on the line. I've gained a lot of respect for him." Rosco smiled "Khee Khee, does that mean you're gonna let my Mama meet him Boss?" Boss tilted his head "I suppose" Rosco smiled again. "Hey Boss, maybe Mama and me can come over to your house and we can watch Gordon's next race. You know my sister Lulu loves those races too. Khee Khee!" Boss shrugged his shoulders. "Just commandeer this nice Cougar and let's git to the Duke farm."
  22. With only one or two people usually responding to trivia I fear that it may have run its course. Sadly, there just doesn't seem to be the interest in it that there used to be. Any suggestions to improve it will be welcome. With 3,486 posts and 175,000 views (a quarter million if you include the other trivia threads) it would be sad to see it end.
  23. Finding it interesting isn't the problem. I think a lot of folks here already have a lot of stuff like this. Plus, other folks may want one of those items but don't want to buy the others with them. Someday you might get your passion back about the show and be sorry you sold that cool stuff. It doesn't take up a lot of storage space. Maybe you should hang on to them...unless you really need the money. We've all been there.
