  1. LOL...Now you have me wondering...which came first...the song or the mistress.....hmm, why would the Mistress of the Dark have so many candles?
  2. Cue the Oak Ridge Boys "My heart's on fire for Elvira"....or at least in John's case it used to be ...."oom boppa oom boppa mou mou"
  3. Impressive Hoss. I actually have that written down in my notebook filed under Miscellaneous so if you wouldn't have beaten me to it I would have known.
  4. gun (I see there's a new Top Gun movie coming out)
  5. Good point Hoss. We love questions around here. Even if they are old new questions.
  6. We sure appreciate the information cjohnson. Do you have a favorite episode or character? Welcome to the HazzardNet!
  7. I cut some firewood Sunday and had my dad come and pick it up for his father's day present. He can't get around much anymore so he can't get his own firewood. He's never been a Dukes fan but he does have an old white Ford pick-up truck....not as old as Jesse's though. My daughter, son-in-law and grandson took me to see the Han Solo movie.
  8. That's cool! In the US you'd probably be labeled a racist if you played one. Everybody is so quick to label folks nowadays. I always tell people to watch the first 15 minutes of the very first Dukes episode. You'll see a white man and black man with their arms around each other. The Dukes was not a racist show! Political correctness drives me crazy. Sorry for getting off the subject.
  9. Just got back from the dirt track. I'm either spending time with my grandson tomorrow or going to the motorcycle races. Father's Day is Sunday. What are you folks doing?
  10. My wife was watching one of those Hollywood celebrity shows tonight. It comes on after the national news on NBC and they were talking about Daisy Duke shorts. Less and less younger folks know what the Dukes of Hazzard is but everybody knows what Daisy Dukes are. I think I speak for everyone who has been a fan of the show since 1979 when I say that back then I never would have imagined that Daisy's shorts would have outlasted anything else on the show. In 2079 everybody will still know what they are but not everbody will know how they were named. Maybe they will Google it and Daisy's shorts will start a new revival of the show and new generation of fans.
  11. That's not very exciting Hoss but it's probably best. I heard that Ben Jones was firing his old wrecker up and was planning on using chains to pull the bars off the windows. Since his wrecker has seen its better days I'm guessing he wouldn't have had much of a chance running from the cops.
  12. All he needs to do is steal some more slot machines and stick them in the local businesses. Then he can get out of this mess and save the orphanage at the same time. It worked back in '79 and it can work again.
  13. The Dukes used to be on Friday night so watching the episode "Welcome Waylon Jennings" would be a great way to celebrate Waylon's birthday tomorrow, June 15. It's also the birthday of my grandson Luke....not named after Luke Duke but still, pretty cool!
  14. God (ya can't get much more powerful than the Almighty)
  15. I recorded it and will watch it later. I did watch a couple minutes of it this morning....the part where he threw his daughter's dress in the dryer and shrank it. For a sentimental guy like me watching something like this can be bittersweet. I love watching these kinds of things but get pretty sad knowing that he is gone. Seeing Dukes fade away is like watching loved ones die. It's part of the aging process. Even seeing Sheriff Little die was tough on me. On the other hand watching Bo jump a General Lee at 58 or getting excited about the latest Ray Kohn stunt show makes everything new again. I guess it's time for me to pop a Dukes DVD in.
  16. I was flipping through the guide channel and noticed James Best's movie "The Sweeter Side of Life" is on The Hallmark Channel at 9am (EST) tomorrow (Sun) morning. I'm looking forward to seeing it again.
  17. Welcome to Hazzard County Yiz and Liz. We are happy to meet you and hope you hang out here a long time.
