Saturday National Dukes Day? Great idea!
-
I just mowed my grass today for the first time this year. Well, not all of it. This time of year certain parts don't grow as fast. I hope I can get another year out of my mower.
-
Don't ask me why it's not everybody's favorite show. I guess most people just ain't as smart as us Hazzard folks.

It's so good to have you as part of the HazzardNet family. Thanks for joining us wotan. We hope you stay around a long time!

Hazzard and Chickasaw Sheriff scale 1/18

Love the cars! Welcome to Hazzard County wotan. Do you have more? Tell us more about your love of Hazzard. Do you have a favorite character, scene or episode? We're happy to have you here and hope you stay a long time. -
And great screen name RustyNail!!!!!

Easter Weekend is here. I hope everybody has a good one.

Great point. If you want to make a first impression here just show up with a General Lee. It's always a pretty effective dramatic entrance.
-
If MM can't fix it I'll call Cooter on the CB. I think he's working on that new General Lee that RHoughton just towed into town.
-
Fantastic work Roth!

That reminds me. I didn't check to see if I'm still in first place in your NASCAR fantasy league. I'm gone.

Happy birthday Wednesday cousin Coy! If you make it back to Hazzard tomorrow stop by the Boar's Nest to celebrate. We'll all be there. Hoss is paying for the celebration.
-
Welcome to the HazzardNet. We hope you stay around a long time. It would be really exciting If you would update us on what happens to this Lee. Will you restore it? Sell it? Both? I wish I could help but Hoss would likely be your best bet. If you would be willing to give more information that might help. Where did you buy it? Were you able to learn anything about its past? The serial number will probably be your best bet to get information. Thanks for posting that. The chances that it was on the show are pretty slim since there were a lot of them built by private citizens. At Dukes' height of popularity I bet there was a GL in nearly every county in America. Of course, you never know until you research it. I wish TimDuke was still on the HazzardNet. He lives in the Cleveland area and knows a lot about the show cars. You must be a pretty big fan to buy this. Since you're a big fan we want to hear more about your love of the show.

And Arnold was called Dutch in the movie Predator. When I was a kid the bigger boys would grab the smaller ones and put them in a headlock and rub the top of their heads with their fists. It was often playful but it hurt when they pressed hard with their knuckles. They called it a dutch rub. I don't know where the name came from.

Today I got my dirt bike out for the second time this year. And I watched the best Duke dirt bike episode...."The Fugitive". I can't believe they didn't have Miz Tisdale on there riding wheelies. Boss was. The weather is supposed to turn bad tomorrow.

Thanks for everything you have done through all these years to keep this place going. You are my hero MM. We love and appreciate you and your passion for all things Hazzard. Since you founded this place it has been the best website on the internet and always will be.

Hey there Tony! How have you been? I hope you're doing well. You're right about the cars. However there is a price to pay for everything. When thinking about the loss of those cars realize that they weren't the valuable classics back then that they are today. Nobody would make a show today if it meant destroying 300 Corvettes from the 1950s. Also consider what came from losing those Chargers. One of the most iconic televisions shows in human history brought joy to millions (dare I say a couple billion) people for years and here we are 40 years later and many of them are still finding happiness and many fans who haven't even been born will someday enjoy it. Sure, the glory days of Dukes are never coming back and fan numbers decrease with time (like all iconic shows do) but the Dukes will outlive us currrect fans in some form or another. For Charger fans it can be difficult to think about those cars but look at it this way. Their loss led a fellow Charger to climb to the top of the mountain as the most famous and recognizable car in history.....the General Lee. I doubt anything will ever replace it.

That is a bit shocking but I'm glad you two are okay. Do whatever you have to do to keep it that way and keep us posted. Maybe you need a vicious watchdog like Velvet Ears to protect you. The cat might help a little but a highly trained police attack dog like Flash can be valuable in keeping you safe......as long as you can wait until after nap time. Edit: I should add that is a GORGOUS cat. I'd keep it too.
