  1. It looks like there's plenty of buttermilk left so I'm all for Hobie's suggestion of making it a week long party. Besides, you can't end a party like this without topping it off with smores so I guess this means we have to continue at least until someone brings the chocolate.
  2. Daisy did but all the chocolate seems to be missing. I just talked to Garrett on the CB and more chocolate is on the way.
  3. That just goes to show you have to politely push doctors at times. I'm not a pushy person but when your life depends on it...
  4. Great fire we got going here. I love the smell of a nice campfire. Now hopefully someone won't throw stryrophome or plastic in it and ruin the sweet smell. The Moon is gorgous tonight.
  5. Welcome to the HazzardNet Mike g. Sorry I can't help you but I hope you stay around anyways. Am I correct in assuming that is for a Dixie horn?
  6. Well, that was good timing. Just before MM showed up the rest of the gang got here. Cooter was busy pulling Rosco's car out of the Hazzard Pond and Boss was right there to tell Rosco that Cooter's bill was coming out of his 50% of 50% of 50% of their latest scam. So, all is right with Hazzard County and with the HazzardNet. This really is in full swing now. I just wonder who is going to clean up this mess. Now there's a sight for sore eyes. Rosco hugging MM, who doesn't even seem to care that he's still soaked.....although the breeze from riding in Boss's convertible did dry him off a little.
  7. Thanks MM. Very informative. I never knew any of that.
  8. The 3 day party of the century is in full swing. Hey Hobie, did you see the way Emma Tisdale was showing off to Jesse by riding wheelies? Keep your finest away from her tonight. She's too brave sober. I don't want to make it worse.
  9. The party started out a little slow last night but it's picking up. Enos and Cletus showed up at noon today and Daisy, Bo and Luke are on the way. Enos pulled two cars over earlier today but let them go when they both explained that they weren't drunk. They were just used to driving on the other side of the road. I think I know who those two are. There's Jesse over there telling old moonshine legends to Hobie and the deputies. I suspect the guest of honor will show up fashionable late tonight. I'm putting a Hank Jr CD in.....all my rowdy friends are coming over tonight. I hope Waylon won't mind when he shows up.
  10. Here we are in the Hazzard Swamp celebrating Meadowmufn's great news. It's going to be a 3 day shindig but will start a little early (namely now). Everybody is invited and anybody can do anything they want with a character as long as it's keeping within the spirit and ratings of the show. Aha, it looks the first to arrive to the shack (besides the host, myself) is Jesse and Hobie. Both are carrying two, one gallon clear glass jugs of water. That's four gallons of water to add to the buttermilk that I brought. It's good that they brought water. Somebody might bring salty chips and that would make folks thirsty. Hmm, I wonder why they're being so careful with it. It is just water....isn't it? I wonder who is coming next. *cue anybody*
  11. *HUGE SMILE THAT WILL LAST ALL DAY* This calls for a multi-day party!
  12. This party's going great. Hey Hobie, I hate to tell you but Jesse's finest is a lot more popular than yours. Don't blame me. I'm a buttermilk guy myself. Meadowmufn's looking pretty happy....the center of attention and adoration.
  13. You're not going to be happy with our results Hobie because they make it even more confusing. After playing it 7 times my wife thinks it is "coin to the rim" and I think it's "corner to rim". Neither of us heard the word "of" or "realm"
  14. Feel free to add to the list. What are you folks bringing?
  15. This is awesome! Now we get to party tonight and party after the double check in a few months. Party time tonight.....Waylon's bringing his guitar. Enos is bringing the buttermilk. Lulu is bringing the bon bons. Daisy is bringing daisies. Bo is bringing trout to fry up. Jesse is bringing his finest...Hobie is bringing his too so folks can vote on which is best. Cooter is bringing leftover doughnuts and beer from his breakfast. Emma Tisdale is bringing her dirt bike to give rides. Luke is bringing fresh berries. Cletus is bringing spaghetti. Boss is too cheap to bring anything. And (saved the best for last) Rosco is bringing his warmest hugs for his dear friend.
  16. Well Spike, you didn't get everthing you wanted but maybe things will get back to normal now. Woops, there's that word again...normal.
  17. Back to normal. Antibiotics work! (probably shouldn't us the word normal. Folks 'round here know I've never been that)
  18. LOL...we've had something similar over here. Years ago, the word "bad" was used to mean something good thanks to folks like Michael Jackson and Mr T. Now the younger generation uses "sick" and "ridiculous" to describe something that is good. It can be hard to for an old redneck to keep up with. So I guess this means that I should hope that the spider that bit me was deadly, sick, ridiculous and bad. If it was then I should be fine. (fine meaning fine....not the opposite of fine)
  19. ....until we celebrate the great news.
  20. *cue the post where Hoss shows us a picture of 100 spiders*
  21. My chills and hot flashes improved today but the rash has gotten much bigger. I'll probably go back tomorrow since I also have a lot of soreness in my neck and both shoulders. I'm on Cephalexin. I'm starting to understand why humans have evolved to have a fear of spiders.
  22. Wednesday evening I was watching TV and out of the clear blue sky started to get the chills. No matter what I did I couldn't warm up.....and then at times I'm hot and sweating. Thursday morning I noticed a big red patch near my left armpit. I never got better, going from chills to sweating all day so Friday went to the doctor. It looks like an infected spider bite (it' s not a tick bite) so now I'm on antibiotics but still havent made any improvements. I can't stay awake for more than a couple hours. Hopefully the antibiotics will start working their magic soon. It's a small problem compared to what MM is going through but it has been a really rough 3 days.
  23. It probably seems like Tuesday will take forever but it will be here before you know it. You are greatly loved.
