  1. Monday's are usually a bit sad since most folks have to go back to work but this Monday we're all taking the day off and celebrating Luke's birthday at the Boar's Nest. See you folks there. Happy birthday Luke!
  2. If you need any help MM I'll come over with my sockets, pliers, hammer and duct tape. (I'll bring the little hammer. I doubt you'd trust me with a sledge hammer around your electronics). Thanks as always for all you do.
  3. campfire smoke (best smell in the world)
  4. You sure have a green thumb Spike. No Hoss, John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, Ben Jones, Sonny Shroyer, Byron Cherry and Rick Hurst didn't show up so not only did we not see stars in the sky but we didn't see them walking around either.
  5. I spent yesterday at an astronomy gathering. We call them star parties. There were several great speakers and I enjoyed talking to my fellow amateur astronomers, many of them I only see once a year. It was cloudy so we didn't get to do any observing after it got dark. Shucks.
  6. I'm making this a yearly tradition. That was pretty good. I'm going with the 90 weight stuff. That's the oil you put in your axles and it's super thick. Happy birthday Friday Cooter!
  7. Possum on a gumbush! It's that time of the year again. Happy birthday on August 28 Enos! You are loved and admired by everyone!
  8. You sure lead an exciting life Hoss....always going places and seeing cool stuff.....thanks for posting that Daisy was in Cannonball Run II. I had forgotten that. Every once in awhile the first one will pop up on my satellite tv but I don't think I've seen the second one since it was in the theaters.
  9. That show is the only time I've ever heard of it. I'm pretty good with identifying northern trees though. Thanks for posting the picture Hobie.
  10. Now that I think of it, Gandalf does look a bit like a moonshiner.
  11. There are a few chases though so it's not all bad. It would have been a little better if Gandalf had a Dodge Charger instead of a white horse.
  12. It's good to hear from you again CCGirl.
  13. That's the way I felt about James Best's bake shop movie. There wasn't much action in it but there didn't have to be. I was just so excited to see him.
  14. I see they hauled the wreck away. Can you imagine driving down the road and seeing Dale Jrs wrecked plane on the back of a flat bed semi!. That sounds like a scene out of a Dukes episode.
  15. Thanks Garrett but second place is long gone. As far back as they are and as bad as they are, it will be last place for them. I'm already hoping the Steelers will be better than the Bears but the experts are saying otherwise. Maybe the Penguins will be better than the Blackhawks....doubtful. *hangs head in despair*
  16. It's been awhile since Dale Jr has made the news because of a crash. I hope this is the last time.
  17. Oh, I remember. That's the one where he talks about building the house with Mississippi Lobloley Pine....I think it is....I always wondered if that was a real tree.
  18. Hi Dixie! It's great to hear from you. Keep posting if you have the time. I've missed you hanging around.
  19. LOL Here it is Sunday night and I just turned the TV off because your Cubbies are crushing my Pirates and it is too painful to watch. I wasn't expecting to see the subject come up here! It looks like my Pirates will finish last. Your Cubs are making a good run for the playoffs.
  20. Hmmm, never heard of pharoah ants. I hope they never come around here. Our pumpkins aren't doing very good. The ones that have survived the woodchucks just aren't getting very big. Tomatoes are good though...especially the cherry tomatoes.
