  1. I'm so happy to hear that the jerk is out of there. Hopefully he'll go out in the woods and live alone and not terrorize anybody else.
  2. I bet that greedy Boss Hoggrechaun beat you to the gold.
  3. That was the same scene where Ed picked him up under his arms and hung him on a light pole right in the middle of Hazzard. I have to admit I felt a little bad for Rosco.
  4. Dead and Alive......season 6 While Artie Bender was painting a nature landscape he witnessed two guys named Phil and Lenny rob a Tri-County Armored Car. Bo and Luke then just happen to come by and after Artie described the car to them they go after it. Then Sheriff Big Ed Little comes by and Artie tells him which way the robbers went. Since he didn't describe the car to Big Ed, he catches the Dukes and arrested them for the robbery. Artie went home and Boss and Rosco showed up to foreclose on his home. Artie offered to pay Boss in paintings and that prompted Boss to scheme up a plan to fake Artie's death and sell his paintings because paintings from a dead artist are worth a lot more. Artie went along with the plan in order to keep his house and agreed to hide out by Hazzard Pond. The problem for Bo and Luke was that the only witness that could verify their innocence was gone. (The armored car driver wasn't a witness because he never saw what hit him). While Artie's funeral is going on, Bo and Luke escaped from their Chickasaw cell and got away after a car chase. Boss put on an art show and brought in a big time buyer. Boss even staged 6 people to pretend they wanted to buy the paintings so the dealer would be more interested. It worked. The dealer bought them all. Boss told him he would find more for him to buy, laying around Artie's place. The 4 Dukes and Cooter met at Artie's house and concluded something fishy was going on. They found out that the death certificate was faked and then Phil and Lenny started chasing Bo and Luke. They called Ed to help, who called Enos. The three cars crashed into each other and the General got away. The Dukes figured out Phil and Lenny were the robbers and then figured out Artie was still alive when they saw the wet fresh paint on Boss's suit when a Bender painting contacted it, thanks to Rosco. They went to Hazzard Pond and found Artie but then Jesse and Daisy got caught by the robbers while witnessing them grab their stash of stolen money. The got tied up on Dixie but got loose right away when they left. The General, Big Ed, Boss and Rosco caught Phil and Lenny and threw them in jail after a chase. The art dealer met with Artie and told him he'd buy as many paintings as he could even though he was still alive. Artie then made the Dukes a beautiful family portrait. -- Many of the paintings in this episode were made by James Best. -- Rosco to Big Ed, "I have half a mind to write you a ticket." Big Ed to Rosco "Coltrane, you ain't even got a quarter of a mind."
  5. I can see there being a limit but it does seem like the limit should be increased.
  6. Thanks Hoss! I wanted to hit the thanks icon but it said that I am out of "reactions".
  7. Today is a big day for my wife and I. 25 years years ago this evening we had our first date. It was a blind date and we knew right away we were meant to be together forever. It really was love at first sight. We would have liked to recreate the date tonight but the place we met had a fire a year ago and still hasn't reopened.
  8. I'm so happy for you Skipper. I bet you'll be smiling from ear to ear for a long time! And I bet you look great in it! Congratulations.
  9. Heiress Daisy Duke.....season 6 Boss is riding around in Rosco's patrol car taking notes for his annual job evaluation when they run across a guy named Harry Bobo who is looking for Daisy because he thinks she might be the long lost granddaughter of his client, multimillionaire Carter Stewart. 20 or so years ago, Carter's daughter and husband were killed in an airplane crash. Their 5 year old daughter was believed to be on the plane too but her body was never found so Carter was hoping she was still alive and was offering $200,000 in reward money if anybody would find her. Her name was Vivian and her mother's picture looks just like Daisy Duke. Boss knows Daisy is not Vivian but conspires with Bobo to make Carter think Daisy is his granddaughter in hopes of collecting the reward. Boss calls hypnotist Professor Crandall and he makes Daisy think that she is Vivian. She is programmed to be Vivian if someone says "Jefferson Davis Hogg" and to be Daisy if someone says "JD Hogg". Vivian's only cousin Alan Fairchild would inherit all of Carter's money if Vivian doesn't exist so he and his wife Vonnie conspire to kill Daisy because they suspect she is Vivian after they see her. Bobo called Carter and told him he found his granddaughter. The 3 Duke men had been struggling to figure out why Daisy had been acting so strange. When Jesse sees her at the Boar's Nest she is in Vivian mode and Boss and Bobo whisk her away and tell Jesse she is acting because they are going to Capitol City to film a TV commercial for the Boar's Nest. Jesse followed them and Alan and Vonnie ran his truck off the road. They then ran Boss, Bobo and Daisy off the road but nobody was hurt. The Duke men then broke into Boss's office and also investigated old newspaper articles at the Hazzard Gazette and figured everything out. Carter Stewart was overjoyed when Daisy came to his house. He thought his granddaughter had returned to his life. Alan then took her for a ride up top on Red Ridge Hill and got out of the car, cut the brake lines and pushed it down the road. Bo and Luke showed up in the General Lee and Vonnie admitted what Alan was doing and told them where they were. They rescued their cousin just in time! Alan and Vonnie went to jail. Professor Crandall dehypnotized Daisy. Daisy promised Carter that she would visit him often. -- Professor Crandall was the same guy who hypnotized Luke in "Goodbye General Lee" -- Carter Stewart reminded me a lot of Boss's Big Daddy but they were different actors -- The Dukes of Hazzard "Unofficial Companion" states "The painting of Vivian Stewart used in the show now hangs in the home of Catherine Bach".......however, the painting was actually of Vivian Stewart's mother.
  10. We just got back from Virginia visiting our daughter and grandsons for 3 days. The leaves down there and in south central Pennsylvania are fantastic, especially in the mountains where you can get great views. Up here by Lake Erie a lot more leaves have fallen so we have passed the peak of beautiful colors. They still look pretty good in some places though. Erie County is pretty flat so we never get views as awesome as in the Appalacian Mountains.
  11. I don't remember them real well so I would say no.
  12. My "reviews" have also evolved. I hope that someday they can be of use to somebody if they are trying to look something up about a particular episode. Putting the season number beside the episode name will hopefully help folks find things.
  13. But the one before it didn't. I posted a compliment about how fantastic your reviews were. You are a talented writer and I enjoyed your post.
  14. You already are doing a lot by managing the HazzardNet Reunion group that I started. Maybe MM can think of more for you to do. You sure know your way around FB and are a fantastic ambassador for the show! We're really lucky that you joined HazzardNet.
  15. Anything you could do to direct folks here would be awesome. I don't think a lot of Dukes fans realize how big this place is. Skipper sure is learning. He has been digging up a bunch of old posts and bringing them back to life. Even as long as I've been here I still find new things. The HazzardNet is truly the capitol city of Dukes Nation.
  16. My new tablet is giving me problems. Stuff I thought I posted yesterday didn't go through. Let me see if this does...
  17. Stacy Harris and John Schneider are now inducted into the "After Dukes" Hall of Fame.
  18. I've got a busy few days coming up so won't be doing any episode reviews for awhile. I'm half way through season 6 so it looks like I will accomplish my goal of finishing them before 2021.
  19. It could be that you've been sipping on Jesse's finest.
  20. That would make Cooter Paris Hilton's Great Uncle!
  21. Cooter's Girl.....season 6 When Bo and Luke are flying in a glider they look down and notice two guys in a pick-up truck run a car off the road. They land the glider and hop in the General Lee and go help the person in the car. That person is 18 year old Nancy Lou Nelson from Alabama and she is in Hazzard looking for a guy named Cooter Davenport. Bo and Luke told her that he was their close friend and Nancy Lou followed them to the Boar's Nest where they said he'd be on his lunch break. The guys in the truck, Collins and Morgan, got there first and started messing with Daisy and Jesse but Cooter stepped in and was in the middle of a bar room brawl when Nancy Lou arrived. The fight broke up and Nancy Lou told Cooter she was his daughter. She also mentioned that her grandparents broke her young parents up because Cooter was a wild, troublemaking fighter. Since she just witnessed the brawl Nancy Lou incorrectly concluded he hadn't changed and drove away. Cooter told the 4 Dukes he had kept his secret daughter from them all these years. He had run away with Beverly Hibbs but her parents had their marriage dissolved. Back in Hazzard, Boss was leading an exercise group for "Hazzard County Health Week" where he was making money on shirts, sweat bands and dietary supplements. Collins and Morgan showed up and bought land from him in Spruce Hills. They said it was for a sheep farm but they were planning on using it as a toxic waste dump. The 4 Dukes caught up with Cooter's daughter and explained that the brawl was no reflection on the real Cooter but things didn't go well the second time they met either. Collins and Morgan made trouble at Cooter's gas station and another fight happened. Nancy Lou was disappointed again. Morgan dropped his wallet so the boys went after them after the fight. Luke asked them a trick question about sheep farming and realized they were lying about their plans for Spruce Hills. After a meal at the Duke farm, Cooter and his daughter finally had a chance to bond. It didn't last because Enos and Rosco came to arrest Bo and Luke. Cooter defended them and the 3 got away after a chase. Nancy Lou decided to leave but Daisy's emotional speech about how great Cooter was changed her mind. Bo, Luke and Cooter went to Spruce Hills and after encountering armed guards knew something serious was going on. Bo and Luke went up in the glider to get a better look and ran out of wind so were forced to land. After they found out what was going on and the toxic waste trucks were nearly there, they called Cooter to jump the General Lee in to rescue them. Boss and Rosco found out about the waste and joined the fight to stop it. The Dukes got up in the air again and threw dynamite on a bridge just before the toxic trucks could reach their destination. Morgan and Collins went to jail and Cooter and Nancy Lou had a happy ending. -- Ben Jones once said this was his favorite episode. -- Jesse's tone of voice was funny when he told Nancy Lou "The law here in Hazzard....why....it's different!" -- When Nancy Lou saw the second fight Waylon said "Talk about bad timing. If it was raining soup, 'ole Cooter's bowl would be upside down." -- Boss was planning on locking the boys up and said "I'll have them picking weeds off the county highways 'till the year 2000" LOL That seemed like a long ways off. -- The Dukes used CB channel 17. Usually it's 22. But instead of saying breaker 17 or breaker 22 Cooter always says breaker 1.
  22. Skipper, who are the people that have the other Dukes of Hazzard museum that are on facebook a lot?
  23. I was just thinking about everybody who has kept the Dukes legacy alive these past 40+ years. We should dedicate something to them....sort of a Dukes Hall of Fame for everybody who has made major contributions to keeping the Dukes Nation strong. Here are the first few inductees into the Hall of Fame: 1) Meadowmufn for creating the HazzardNet (past, current and future members of all Dukes social media venues deserve credit too) 2) Ray Kohn for his amazing work doing his stunt show at Northeast Ohio Dukes 3) Dave Dewitt for his mobile museum 4) Ben Jones for his Cooter's establishments 5) Jon Holland, Billie Rae Bates and David Hofstede for writing books about The Dukes of Hazzard Feel free to add others if you feel their contribution was significant
