  1. Good to hear from you cousin.
  2. When I bought my property in 1979 I did have a goat to clean the weeds out. His name was Nelson. I sold him to a guy up the road named Virgil who ate him. Virgil would eat anything. My yard takes 4 hours to mow with a push mower and another hour if I do all my trails.
  3. I just looked it up. Sparta and Waverly (where the worst flooding was) are 130 miles away. Hopefully that means Hobie is ok
  4. Still no word from Hobie? Come on cousin. You're starting to worry us. Last I heard on the news 24 dead and 30 missing. I know what you mean about the heat Spike. I'm glad I don't have roof work. I mowed today.....with a push mower. We have a big yard but I've never owned a riding mower. We also have a 150 driveway and I've never owned a snowblower....keeps me in shape.
  5. I wonder if Mr. Winkle was in the area. LOL I think the Jude Emery one was the worst.....just my opinion.
  6. I hope Hobie is okay. I heard Loretta Lynn is pretty upset because her long- time ranch foreman was killed in the floods. Last I heard 24 died and 30 were still missing. We just had a 2 year old girl drown the next county over. When she came up missing dogs followed her scent into a river. They found her body a mile downstream. I got a ton of yard work done today...pretty hot out.
  7. I'm not a fan of the reunion movies but Hughie would have been the best choice. It would have made Boss's death just a little easier to take, knowing he would have approved of Hughie taking his place....even though Huggie drove him nuts.
  8. You got me on this one. I'll guess moonshine recipes but I know that's not right.
  9. Hey Skipper is it technological possible to post a link of this thread and post it on FB? A lot of Dukes fans would love it and it could bring more members to HN
  10. Another project! Coolness! I'm out of reactions or I would have hit more likes. Did you see that Hughie just turned 70? I posted it a few days ago.
  11. So sorry to hear that Spike. I hope you 2 can work things out. We're here for you cousin. I'm sending you a PM.
  12. Thanks for digging this old thread up a couple weeks ago Skipper. I really appreciate it. When I get more time tomorrow I'm going to go through it a little better.
  13. Your memory is unbelievable. Go ahead somebody. Post a screen shot and test Skipper. He's a human Dukes computer.
  14. The only newer show I ever liked was Duck Dynasty. Nothing on today that I care about though. I used to like Charlie's Angels, Dallas, A-Team and Stingray.
  15. Your dad reminds me of my dad. We just got done watching our youngest grandson while the older ones were at Cedar Point amusement park for a couple days. It's always nice to just have one because we always get to make him feel special. You can do that when other kids are around but it just works better with one.
  16. Shrek (I put him because I don't know how to spell FEE OH NAH)
  17. Jeff Altman turned 70 yesterday. Happy birthday Hughie!
  18. Let me know when your wife is going to release all her pent up rage. I want to be out of town. I wish I could get out of town on the days my wife releases hers. (thankfully we are both mellowing out as we get older and it doesn't happen as often as it used to)
  19. Where did you hear this....reliable source?
  20. I was watching a little pre season NFL tonight. It was the Bills vs the Lions. I noticed "SKIPPER" on the back of one of the Lions jerseys. He was an offensive lineman. I looked him up The dude is 6'10" tall and 320 lbs of solid muscle. How come you never told us you were playing football Skipper?
  21. After those storms were done with you they came over here to Lake Erie Pennsylvania Spike. We had storms but not real bad. I took my grandson to see Jungle Cruise tonight. He's heading off to college in Akron Ohio on Saturday. The movie was pretty boring in the first half but when it picked up, it really picked up. It turned out being pretty good with some excellent surprise plot twists.
  22. twins (Kirby Puckett was one of my favorite baseball players. He was on the Minnesota Twins)
