GI marathon all weekend on Sundance. Started at 8 am today. They're almost done running the 36 Season 1 (1964-1965) b/w episodes. Onto the color episodes 37-98 Season 2 (1965-1966) and Season 3(1966-1967) pretty soon.
Boss Hogg:"When I hear your response, it puts a lump in my wallet! Uh throat!"To the crowd at (1980s Hazard Kentucky Black Gold Festival) Yes Hazard is a single z in this case.
Are you sure it was a '68? I found various references to Alan Hale Jr owning a '65 Shelby Mustang GT350. You can see a picture here which shows him sitting in the car outside his Lobster Barrel restaurant on La Cienega in Los Angeles.
The only '65 Mustang I remember in Dukes was the yellow one in which Bo and Luke returned and Coy and Vance departed. I say "only" because I think it's likely that they used car in 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' as one of Daisy's fake prizes.
(Season 4 Mrs. Daisy Hogg)
Boss Jefferson Davis Hogg:"Oh no Rosco! You mud hole, you slapped them cuffs on me!" Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane:"Ooh I didn't know they fit on yer pudgy little wrist! Kew kew!" Boss Jefferson Davis Hogg:"That's cuz you didn't use yer pudgy little brain! Now come on, git me outta this will ya? Before them Duke Boys escape!" Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane:"Bad news, bad news!" Boss Jefferson Davis Hogg:"Huh!?" Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane:"The keys are in the car."
Great job posting this Skipper. January 26 should be a big deal around here but it is usually overlooked and underappreciated for it's hysterical value.....not to mention it's historical value.
I assume you're asking about the cast picture from 'On The Rocks'. It's Hal Williams who played Jonas Jones in 'Cooter's Confession'. He also played Officer 'Smitty' Smith in 'Sanford and Son' (another US remake of a classic British sitcom), Harley Foster in seven episodes of 'The Waltons', Sgt. Ted Ross in the TV series of 'Private Benjamin', and he has had guest roles on many TV shows from the '70s to 2013 (his last role currently listed). You can see his complete filmography here.
Here's another picture of Paul Smith (on the right) in 'Sam's Witchcraft Blows a Fuse', the penultimate episode of 'Bewitched' from 1972. The episode also featured Bernard Fox ('Iggins from 'Southern Comfurts') in one of his many appearances as Dr Bombay.
