  1. Started by RogerDuke,

A few years ago I told my wife I wasn't going to feel old until all four of our parents died. Then we lost her mom and then my mom. Now it's my Dad. He was definitely an Uncle Jesse type....even drove a white F-150. Lived for the outdoors. He had been sick a few months and several times said he was ready to go. Tough stuff.

  2. Link - New England Dukes Website Link - Paul Harrington's tribute to Glenn I met Glenn, his mom, brother Edmund at 05 Dukesfest through another DOH friend. Saw them and Edmund's kids at 06 Dukesfest. Amazing family to spend time with, I wish everyone could have meet them all! My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they deal with the loss of their loved one. RIP Glenn.

  7. Hi y'all. We have just learned last night Sat 11/7/20 that our contractor who did our work at home has killed himself in his truck sitting at a red light back in March 2019. Please pray for me, my family, Roger McGinnis and his family. Thank you my Dukes of Hazzard/HazzardNet family.

  8. R. I. P. John Cotton Sr. I have just found out that John Cotton Sr. a Youngstown Ohio auto mechanic of Cotton's Garage on McGuffey RD. was robbed and killed over $20 way back in 2008. He did all the work on my dad's mom and dad's car. I know this is late. But I am just now finding out. Please pray for Cotton, his family and friends and my family and friends.

Hi y'all.* Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I've been really busy with school exams and studying and things like that. I'd just like y'all to take a minute to remember a teacher who I had last year who unfortunately passed away the other day. Orlaith Donahue, was my religion teacher for part of last year. She had finished her teaching degree in 2011. It was always her dream to work in Terenure College, where I go to school. She had extra Irish classes with one of the teachers in the school, and was passionate about religion and teaching. Her dream came true over the summer months of 2011, when Orlaith was offered a permanent job as a religion and English teacher in Ter…

  11. Hi all HN members! I am happy to here in the family!

  12. Let's just theorize that someone has a family member who has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. Would it be possibly for that person to donate part of their liver to the cancer patient? I've read that the liver can regenerate itself, and that the success rate is above average, but I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm or elaborate on this. Thanks.

Happy New Year! It's starting off right, with a Dukes of Hazzard marathon this Sunday. Here's hoping 2014 treats everybody great! How was everybody's holidays?

  15. Started by RogerDuke,

Just offering a little Uncle Jesse advice here. And a little reminder. Any time a new person joins and puts up their first post we should all respond. Even if it is with a single word "Welcome". I have been in their situation before....checked out a forum and received little response for my first post. That doesn't mean I didn't come back the next day. But it can be just enough reason to get them to stay. If they are interested in Hazzard enough to post in the first place, they just might be someone who hangs out for a long time. ❤

  17. Started by CDoherty95,

Hi y'all. I was browsing HNet earlier and noticed threads dedicated to the late Dale Coenen and Glenn Call. Some of you may have known them. Unfortunately I joined HNet too late. I've read about Dale on CGLFC,and he sounded like a really nice, kind, considerate, caring person. I haven't been able to find out too much about Glenn, but from what I could find he sounded like a true Duke fan. Caring, helpful, putting others before himself, and jovial. I was hoping that, instead of letting these 2 great Duke fans fade into the background,we could come up with a title for them. I was thinking that it would be based along the lines of the Fan of The Month,or Hazzardite for Life. Or m…

  18. I tried to start this on another site but the writers were a bit to sensitive and took the ideas displayed there as an insult(even though I said from the start that nothing was directed at anyone). This was done by a fellow writer in another fandom and all of the writers really had a great time doing this. I know that all of us have read stories in the past that we just knew that the characters would cringe at some of the things that we writers have them do. So, let's let each person write a small note in the voice of the character of their choice speaking to fanfiction writers about what most go off the course or put the characters in a light that just isn't them. I…

  20. Started by RodneyAtkinsFan,

Idk, but just like the Duke family (sorta)...my family is more hot tempered and stubborn to give up, but from my dad's side, Irish, Danish and Cherokee rule on that side, on my mother side is Irish and Mexican...But on me father's side, it's a strong bloodline, the Hoods are one tough cookie type group, but the men act like lions (protecting family from rivals and loving their family), while the women act more like bears (protecting their children and loving their family)...thats the best way I know to describe my family...tiz me dad's side is related to Princess Diana and Elvis Presley...soo ya....lol My family are the type to not call 9-1-1, they grab a gun, but they ne…
