I have to pat myself on the back for doing such a good job of keeping February's Fan of the Month recipient secret. I bet none of you saw this coming. Mark B has been with the best website on the internet since 2009 and was the Fan of the Month recipient in August of 2015. There are some people who claim to be big fans of The Dukes of Hazzard but Mark is not the bragging type. He lets his talents as an artist do all the talking for him. But his work doesn't just talk. Last I knew I was still in charge of this section so until MM fires me or throws me in the HazzardNet jail I'm going to violate the rules and give credit to a moderator, even though moderators aren't eligible. Hoss has been around this place for well over a decade and has logged in over 5,500 posts. It doesn't matter that none of them made any sense, that's a lot of posts. While most of us live a Dukes of Hazzard fantasy, the Hazzard County lifestyle is reality to Hobie and we're lucky to have a genuine Southern boy here on the HN. There's not a whole lot of things you can depend on now in this crazy world but here on the HazzardNet we have someone who is as dependable as a Duke boy and that's our friend Spike. While the Fan of the Month isn't exactly monthly anymore, I just felt compelled to thank Skipper Duke for all the energy he has been providing here on the best website on the internet. Skipper was the first person who befriended me in my short experience on Facebook and I'm proud to be his friend here on the HazzardNet. Thanks for all your contributions Skipper. Congratulations to Hobie for earning fan of the month honors for March 2018. Okay, let's say it since we're all thinking it. This fan of the month thing hasn't exactly been a monthly thing. But it's still around and that's something at least. You're awesome Hobie and we're thankful to have you here. Since joining in April 2013, Roth_Potter has contributed over 500 posts full of Dukes of Hazzard goodness, most notably the Rare and Behind the Scenes Pictures thread, which has quickly joined the ranks as one of the best threads on HazzardNet. Our September 2012 Fan o’ the Month is JadedPhoenixBurning! Now don’t let that hot handle fool ya, Jaded has been cool addition to our HNet community, joining up in October of 2011. She’s an avid fanfic writer and came to HNet looking to share her stories and meet other Dukes fans and fanfic writers. She’s also taken part in many other discussions on HNet and had the good fortune to attend the 2012 Hazzard Homecoming shindig in Virginia! So join us in congratulating JadedPhoenixBurning for being our Fan of the Month for September 2012!

Congrats go to Carlos-Argentino, our Fan of the Month for August 2012! Carlos-Argentino joined us in December of 2010, and if you don't already know, he hails from Argentina! The language barrier has never stopped him from participating in the Forums. He is friendly, outgoing, and always quick to welcome new members to HazzardNet! Carlos-Argentino is fine example of a good Hazzard County neighbor and HazzardNet member. We're long overdue for recognizing our International Dukes fans, so join us in congratulating Carolos-Argentino! SAL-UTE!

Long overdue for recognition is TimDuke, who joined HazzardNet in Oct 2001. TimDuke is also a longstanding member of the CGLFC. TimDuke is a man of few words, but of deep sincerity; if he has something to say, he says what he means. He is also passionate about the General Lee and is among the lucky few to own one. Fortunately, TimDuke brings his General Lee to Duke-related events so fans can enjoy seeing it. TimDuke's General was featured at a car show with Tom Wopat just a few months ago. Howdy there - I'm considering a few changes to how we select our Fan of the Month, in order to be fair to the growing audience we have. I've yet to discuss this with Mufn or MaryAnne so nothing is written in stone. Originally, our Fan of the Month was selected based on Forums participation (constructive) and/or material contributions to content, consisting of photos, info, fanfic, what have ya. We sometimes take tenure into consideration, as we've had some members with us since darn near the beginning. Val is our April 2012 Fan of the Month! Val's recognition is long overdue, as she joined us way back in 2004. Val is a longtime fan of Enos - hence her handle - and she was a fanfic writer and all-around goofball here on HazzardNet for many years. Now, I know Val personally so I'll explain why I put some of this in the past tense. Val grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard on TNN and then CMT, and then grew up the rest of the way while hanging around the usual rowdies on HazzardNet. Long overdue for recognition is somebody who has been a part of HazzardNet since 2004. He's also a member of the CGLFC and has been an active voice among Dukes fans for many years. This longtime Dukes fan is a friend to many. He's also never afraid to speak his mind. Yet he always conducts himself with honor even if discussions and opinions get a little hot. Sorry for the dry spell here. We have plenty of HNet members worthy of the fan of the month, but I got busy with a double-dose of "real life" stuff and ended up AWOL from HNet for awhile. Yes, the October 2011 Fan o' the Month is i1976!! i1976 is a reknown Enos and Daisy fan who joined HazzardNet back in February of 2007! With over 600 posts to our Forums, and with contributions of artwork to our Image Gallery and stories to our Fanfiction sections, i1976 is a creative Dukes of Hazzard fan who certainly deserves recognition! i1976 has always been friendly and encouraging to other members of HazzardNet and sets a great example for Dukes fans everywhere.
