Think this pretty much spells the end of the Confederate flag on the Dukes of Hazzard General Lee merchandise in stores. https://www.yahoo.com/news/wal-mart-says-removed-confederate-flag-merchandise-stores-001141347--finance.html

Sorry if this seems like a stupid this to some of ya but I have to vent this out. I'm in Girl Scouts and I found this article that just kills me. This lawmaker in Indiana says that we support planed parenthood and encourage sex. This is just stupid. None of it is true. It just makes everyone think we are bad and won't have anything to do with us. I want you guys to read the article and see what ya think. http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20120220/NEWS07/120229974

WOW... umm.. all I have to say is I can't believe I found this place again. Honestly I was looking something up about the Dukes cause I got bored..and found the link. But I'm sure you all remember me. But.. I still love the Dukes of Hazzard. I still, after a few years watch with my dad. I now live with my dad, still in Texas of course. I have changed a lot..and will be 19.. well this month! I have missed ya'll and I know I've made a lot of come back threads. But I think I really wanna start coming back again, because this place always was so welcoming. I've matured a lot. No more crazy random LOL's and crazy things ya'll used to get from me or anything like that. I've act…

I've been absolutely glued to my TV set. Being from Canada, I don't get to talk to too many folks about baseball, as its more of an "American sport". Of course, we do have the Toronto Blue Jays (and I'm from Toronto!) but seeing the way our season went was just awful. But that's besides the point. Anyone been watching the playoffs? This year they have been amazing! I think that the Wildcard games, division series and championship series have all been the most exciting ones in recent memory. If anyone wants to talk baseball, hit me up in this thread! I'm obsessed.

Hey y'all As some of y'all know I'm Irish. I don't go around promoting the Irish stereotype (drunk, religious, lives off potatoes and ginger) but at the same time I'm proud to be Irish!! In Dublin we get a lot of tourists, mostly American and English. I was in town earlier and saw a young American couple looking a little lost,so being nice I went over and asked if I could help. I think it was fair to say that they had a drink or two at this point, because they asked me if I knew any of the "Father Ted" cast,an then asked if I could give them the recipe to Guinness. I told them that Ireland wasn't as small as they thought, and only the people that work in guinness know the …

So I just got home from being at our local ammusment park. We went there to get mine and my mom's ID's for work. This is my first job which I'm excited for. I'm a Gopher which means I will take people's places when they need to use the bathroom or go to their breaks. I'm going to be working all fall and I'm at our kids area. This makes me wonder what everyone's first jobs were.

As you probably know I am a huge fan of Formula One, so over time I watch some videos of it on yotube and occasionally like some a lot. I thought i'd share some with you people. I'm not much of a writer so I won't ever start a blog about this but I thought some people might enjoy this. Rubens Barrichello interrupting Dutch F1 presenter Olav Mol. Rubens said 'Hoe gaat het?' Which he said perfectly, it means 'How's it going?'. I wonder if he knows what internet is nowadays. This is the intro our tv channel used until 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VhZ7lIOEGk Very good compilation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz4iYCqS_R0&list=FLlPTpWdldlv7xb1UxGonyU…

I should wait till i hit 5 years, but I am so excited to be back, i want to celebrate my 4 years of being on HazzardNet, meeting and chatting with such fine Hazzard folks like you all! I found this site purely by accident, looking for General Lee pics at the time, and this was on January 16 2005 I made a few threads, cussed out the new movie and and publicly said I was sorry for trashing it as bad as I did by insulting of few duke fans(which was not my intention ) at the time. Then I grew up a little , and started feeling like home here, until I started getting depressed. From jan 2005 till sept 2005, I was on more then not, and then I was not seen any more until Feb 2006…

Is anybody looking up there Family, now digging up the tree in the backyard doesn't count and it's not very nice neither. Well, just to let you know I have various branches of family traced back pretty far. Well first of all I will tell you about my Great-Great-Grandfather Dr. Ede Szenger he was a Physician/Surgeon from Hungary and he lived in Mexico from 1866-1876 well in !867 he had a son with his wife I presume and he would be my Great-Grandfather Josef Szenger. Okay the thing I don't know is what was his mother's name. Well, this Josef Szenger is a fascinating Case study you see he was served World War I for Germany and he was I think maybe a fighter pilot. Now there…

I was planning on going to an American car show today (this one where I sat in a General Lee last year), but various factors conspired against it. Luckily there was another car related event much closer to home: Cannonball Ireland 2011 came to town. Unlike the namesake movies from the '80s, this was not a race, but just a charity fund-raising cruise of some very expensive cars including Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins amongst others: There were a few American cars there too: They all parked up in the grounds of the castle. There must have been several million dollars' worth of cars on show.

It's bad enough that I will never enjoy being at a duke fest, because canada lacks duke fans, and I will never get to meet any of the cast, especially 2 that are gone already, like Denver Pile and Sorell Booke(boss hog). Just once I would love to meet any of them, just one, be it Bo, luke, Daisy, Enos or rosco, and of course Cooter....... Sure is nice to dream, but I can't even get the plastic model (1:16 plastic General lee). only something I have been looking for years for, but seems like this duke fan will never ever have any of his dreams fullfilled??? I am, so tired you know, i try and I try, and right now I need someone to help me, I am depressed for many reason, bu…

Just curious...does anybody know of anyone who has given up the internet (non-work related) for Lent? I'm wondering, because our volumes are down a little bit over the past week, here at the flagship site and also the FB page. Looks like some other Dukes pages have tapered off too. And it's not due to a lack of Dukes news, with all the cast appearances going on and such. What do ya'll think?

The Station West Warwick Rhode Island February 20th 2003 Five years ago a little after 11pm, the fourth deadliest night club in United States history happened. Started by a band’s pyrotechnics being set off, as they began their first song. The band was not aware that the night club was using flammable soundproofing foam. The night club did not have a sprinkler system installed. The club had been inspected two months before the fire. No one got a permit for the pyrotechnics. The club said they had not been told, a band member claimed the club had been informed. In twenty seconds, the lives over 400 people in that building changed. 96 died that night, 4 others in the …

I know I've been gone along while. I tried not to slip away but once school started that kinda went down the drain. Anyway, I'm getting my Dukes vibe back, if that makes sense! Not that I ever lost it. I just caught caught up! Anyway I'm back and hopefully can stay that way this time and not let school and other things overwhelm me too much.

Getting to know your friends Have Fun! 1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper 2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial, why kill a tree just so we can decorate it for a short time and then get rid of it. Not to mention, don't have to buy a tree every year. 3. When do you put up the tree? About 10 days before Christmas usually, sometimes sooner but rarely later. 4. When do you take down the tree? New Year's day or the day after. 5. Do you like eggnog? Nope 6. Favorite gift received as a child? Little House In The Big Woods, received from my 4th grade teacher. 7. Hardest person to buy for? My oldest daughter, she's too picky. 8. Do you have a nativity scene? A …

Hey everybody... I know I haven't been on here for a while, but there's lots of reason! haha As many of you know, I love the farm more than anything. I live on our family farm that has been in the family for 100 years. My great-granddad was the first settler in this area, buying a 10 acre plot of land on the river bank. We still own the original homestead and have expanded the operation to over 3000 acres and 350 head of cattle. We had a big scare this spring and wound up almost losing the whole spread. My dad went from driving truck part time to full time, and my mom had to go back to work. I ended up juggling going to school and putting the crop in myself this year. O…

Say no to Wal-Mart for Christmas I was pretty angry last year, as I'm sure many of you were when Wal-Mart decided to get rid of layaway. That was a pretty dumb and mean-spirited decision on their part. I personally know many people who are only able to buy Christmas presents for their families because of layaway. Well they're playing Scrooge again this year, though they may very well have done this in the past without anybody noticing. A month ago, a friend of mine sent me the money to buy her a 1:10 scale remote controlled General Lee at Wal-Mart. Here's where the Scrooge part comes in, a month ago the price was 30 dollars. I thought I may buy one for myself. So …
