Another legendary country singer has passed on. My favorite song of his was Islands in the Stream with Dolly. That song was huge on both country and rock stations. I can't say I was a huge fan though. I'm more of a Charlie Daniels, Waylon, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Hank Jr and Sr fan.

Has anybody seen the new football league? I have always thought, it feels kind of lonely and I always have withdrawal feelings when it's all over for the NFL. I think this may be good. There are 8 teams and for now. I think I'm going with the Houston Rough Necks! They don't have a name like that in any other sport, that I know of. It reminds me of when Cooter's buddy came to town and was framed for stealing that truck and Cooter had to help him out. Remember? They were laughing and talking about all the rough necking they used to do.....WHAT.... is a Rough Neck? I think it's a politically Correct term for RED neck! You guys ought to try these teams out. They're pretty …

I was watching Fox News this morning and Charlie Daniels came on. Shortly after he left Phil Robertson showed up in the same studio. I couldn't believe it. Two of my three heroes together. I wonder if they got their picture taken together backstage. If only Uncle Jesse would have walked in.

I just spent the night in the hospital. I haven't done that since the day I was born. I damaged a tendon in my left foot 6 months ago and got it fixed yesterday. The complete recovery might be 6 months too. That's how it goes when you age. One simple twist of the ankle can mean a year to get better.

I was planning on going to an American car show today (this one where I sat in a General Lee last year), but various factors conspired against it. Luckily there was another car related event much closer to home: Cannonball Ireland 2011 came to town. Unlike the namesake movies from the '80s, this was not a race, but just a charity fund-raising cruise of some very expensive cars including Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins amongst others: There were a few American cars there too: They all parked up in the grounds of the castle. There must have been several million dollars' worth of cars on show.

We're off to an Alan Jackson concert tonight and have 5th row seats on the floor in front of the stage. I'm not a huge fan but my wife is. I just became a bigger fan a few minutes ago when I checked wickapedia and found out he was raised dirt poor in Georgia. I'm wearing my 01 hat and orange Dukes shirt just in case he notices....they are bright colors after all....and the hat was signed by another Georgia boy, Sonny Shroyer. I'll just bet ya that 'ole Alan is a Dukes fan.

It is now a category 4 and hitting the coast. Does anybody know anyone In harm' s way? I talked to a guy from Texas today who I hadn't seen in 20 years and his house is in the danger zone. When he left a few days ago nobody knew it was coming. For its size this thing grew from nothing really fast.

Just saw the movie "The Great Wall" today. If you like action fantasy adventures this is a must see movie. I won't give anything else away but I will say they connect dynamite to arrows, light them and let them fly. Sound familiar? I bet folks in the theater were wondering why I laughed when I saw it.

Here's my score prediction: Seattle Seahawks-17 New England Patriots-7 Yes, I'm going out on a limb and calling for a low score. When the Seattle defense finally starting to get their act together two months ago I said they'd win it all again.

Okay so I wanted to make a forum about this and I am just curious, if anyone reading this was given the opportunity to script an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard for Warner Bros, what would be the plot that they would come up with. I want to see some of the creative ideas that this amazing community can come up with!!!

Does anybody know someone in the big blizzard? Our daughter and her family live in Winchester Virginia so they're in the worst part of it. So far they still have electricity so if that holds out they'll be fine. They don't have a lot of snow plows down there so it will be a long time before they clear this out. They could get four feet of snow.

It's to late to tell you when this is because it was yesterday... Anyway, yesterday on Sunday we went to Silverstone as it was close to where we were on vacation. I've never seen a race on a real circuit before so I was quite exited. I've been to the Hockenheimring and the Nurburgring before but not on a raceday. As you probably noticed already, it was raceday of truck racing. Went in there, walk to a nice spectator area and sat down. They had Country music through the speakers in which most had some form of truck reference in them. Best part was, when I had only sat down for 1 second the dukes theme started playing! Also heard smokey and the bandit and Convoy through …

I just love country or old rock and roll music, but as for country, there are a few on my list, as well as my favorite cover songs. Rodney Atkins - Take A Back road Alan Jackson - Remember When Willie Nelson - On The Road Again Hank Williams Jr. - Keep The Change But there are several songs that I can name of Rodney's that I just love to death!! <3 Then again, I'ma more than just a fan and hes more than just a famous person of whom I like. Rodney is like another family member I met, as I know him personally, seen him several times back stage, but I can't count that high! Though I am hoping to meet all the cast of Dukes of Hazzard this year of Hazzard homecoming.

One of my other hobbies Is model railways, but since a few months I'm adding to that model cars. These cars are the same scale as my trains and will drive on the same 'table' landscape as my trains. For this I need cars to transform to drivable, obviously... These are made using regular 1/87 H0 cars. My landscape is based on the Netherlands from in between 1995 and now, so most cars will be European. But I really want a 1969 or 1968 Dodge Charger for it. I have a feeling my 'European' Google has only been looking in Europe as all its results were in Europe. But none were even in the scale 1/87 or a model car. The only thing I saw was a 1/87 3d printed solid model withou…

Some people might have noticed that I don't always post in the birthday topics of Dukes of Hazzard actors, I want to explain here why. I don't know how to explain this the right way but I'll do my best. I'm not a person for chit chat, I think words really need to mean something before you should say them. For me personally posting "happy birthday Denver/James" every year doesn't cut it. To me it's more of an "I see it so I have to post in it" thread. Yes, you should wish them a happy birthday and I think birthday topics are a good way for some people but I don't see it for myself as a good way. I want you people to know that I do wish every (Dukes of Hazzard cast) membe…

As you probably know I am a huge fan of Formula One, so over time I watch some videos of it on yotube and occasionally like some a lot. I thought i'd share some with you people. I'm not much of a writer so I won't ever start a blog about this but I thought some people might enjoy this. Rubens Barrichello interrupting Dutch F1 presenter Olav Mol. Rubens said 'Hoe gaat het?' Which he said perfectly, it means 'How's it going?'. I wonder if he knows what internet is nowadays. This is the intro our tv channel used until 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VhZ7lIOEGk Very good compilation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz4iYCqS_R0&list=FLlPTpWdldlv7xb1UxGonyU…

WOW... umm.. all I have to say is I can't believe I found this place again. Honestly I was looking something up about the Dukes cause I got bored..and found the link. But I'm sure you all remember me. But.. I still love the Dukes of Hazzard. I still, after a few years watch with my dad. I now live with my dad, still in Texas of course. I have changed a lot..and will be 19.. well this month! I have missed ya'll and I know I've made a lot of come back threads. But I think I really wanna start coming back again, because this place always was so welcoming. I've matured a lot. No more crazy random LOL's and crazy things ya'll used to get from me or anything like that. I've act…

I've been absolutely glued to my TV set. Being from Canada, I don't get to talk to too many folks about baseball, as its more of an "American sport". Of course, we do have the Toronto Blue Jays (and I'm from Toronto!) but seeing the way our season went was just awful. But that's besides the point. Anyone been watching the playoffs? This year they have been amazing! I think that the Wildcard games, division series and championship series have all been the most exciting ones in recent memory. If anyone wants to talk baseball, hit me up in this thread! I'm obsessed.

Every time I see one of those commercials from those on-line dating services I think of Rosco's Mama's line from "Mrs Rosco P. Coltrane". I may not have it exactly right but it went something like "You got a girl out of a computer?" LOL If I ran one of those companies I'd pay Warner Brothers to use that clip in a commercial. The Dukes were way ahead of their time. Boss ran a solar powered still. Jesse invented ethanol. Rosco got a girl from a computer. I feel sorry for the city folks who think hicks aren't that smart.

Just found on another Forum this test, really realistic and interesting, and I'd like to share it with you.. http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/bfi_self.htm My results (from 0 to 100): Extraversion: 11 (from 0 to 100)... I know I'm totally an introverted person. :-)) (high grade of introversion) High scorers tend to be sociable and outgoing. They prefer to be around people most of the time. High Extraversion is associated with being seen as more popular and more socially competent, having more friends and dating partners, being accident-prone, taking more study breaks, engaging in thrill-seeking and delinquent behavior, better performance in sales and management jobs, hi…

Sometimes I stumble on quotes of famous writers that really made me wonder, saying, "WOW it's SO true", and made me ponder on various side of life, learning a lot of myself and of people around me. I recently found this one: "People who are unable to lie, think that everybody is unable to lie", Kafka. "In your life you'll meet a lot of masks and few persons", Luigi Pirandello (GREAT italian writer). Somewhere I read that "any of us looks for something of himself into books". Actually I'm a bit too much into understanding how people relate to each other, what's honesty, what's idealism, what's duplicity, what's opportunism, and so on (how much of it there is in any of us),…
