‘Dukes of Hazzard’ star John Schneider announces death of wife Alicia (msn.com)

I don't do social media or keep up with celebrity gossip, but I'm surprised that no one has mentioned John Schneider getting re-married last month. As most of you know, John lost his third wife, Alicia Allain, to breast cancer in February 2023. He has now married Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of 'Goodfellas' actor Paul Sorvino. You can read the LA Times article about their marriage here. I've just looked up Dee Dee's bio on IMDb - her birth name was Denessa Purvis Benkie, so maybe she's related to Rosco! I just saw Bo on "The Faulkner Focus" promoting his new movie "To Die For". It is a patriotic themed movie and looks really good. Maybe someone could post a link on how to get it. It was pretty interesting to hear him explain why Hollywood doesn't put out movies like this and why it is so important that they do get out in some other way. Hollywood has been corrupt for awhile now. Even James Best mentioned it when they moved Dukes out of Georgia. I think he called it a sewer. They claim to love diversity but ignore half of America. A big yeehaww goes out to John for recognizing that.

There was an article in the Erie (Pennsylvania) Times-News today. Apparently the writer (name not printed) of the article is familiar with the Dukes theme song because here is the first paragraph: "A Grinch has stolen a little bit more of John Schneider's Christmas than the law will allow: a couple of puppies." The story went on to explain that John's SUV was stolen in L.A. with two puppies in it that were intended for John's childern as Christmas presents. The SUV has been recovered but not the puppies. While testing out the Dukes DVD link that takes ya over to Amazon.com - I noticed that there's a whole lot of 80's tv for sale in addition to the DOH DVD. Man, nostalgia has hit mass distribution! Considering all the reality tv on the air today, I'm predicting strong sales. Heh heh. And it's no accident that the Knight Rider DVD is shown available underneath the Dukes DVD on the Amazon page. In this casual, behind-the-scenes interview published May 2nd, Tom Wopat talks about his formative years at the music program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also spills the beans about the plans to do some casino concert gigs with John, and possibly do an album together. Tom also talks about his home state a bit. I dunno about ya'll, but I think it's way cool that a Dukes of Hazzard cast member actually owns a farm.

Do you guys remember the crooked sheriff in Cool Hands Bo and Luke? Cashius Claiborne I think? It seems he was in the original movie, Cool Hands Luke and played a similar part in this TDOH episode. I saw where he died at 93, but can't get the article to copy/paste for some reason. I think he was in one or two other DOH episodes, if I'm not mistaken....
