This quote from a John Schneider interview makes the movie look a little more hopeful than we've been thinking: "JOHN: .........the pending Dukes of Hazzard movie. I just read the latest draft of it; it's good, and it's very reminiscent of the show. That says to me that the people involved with it are fans of the show and want to do the show they remember, and not do some new fart gag movie for 2005. " He gives his views on Jessica Simpson, Smallville, TV fatherhood. It's a little long, but a fun article. Especially check out his take as to whether Jonathan Kent is a grown-up Bo Duke or a grown-up Luke Duke! "Bo probably got into a fight somewhere with the wrong person…

I recommend folks rent the new video game before purchasing. It has excellent graphics!!! Original cast voices is a plus. Some of the adventures are not too bad... it seems to be more for an adult audience than kids. At least one level of free roam and multi player, open for folks who don’t want to do the missions would have been nice. There is a "Dixie" horn control button and one for yeehaa. The instruction booklet was disappointing, for the fact that it doesn’t give a listing of the one player mode missions. Both playstation 1 DOH games had an “episode†guide. Unlike other games where the map is in the corner, you have to press start to pause the game and v…

I've just seen the sad news that Clifton James has passed away. Known to millions as Sheriff J.W. Pepper in the James Bond movies 'Live and Let Die' and 'The Man with the Golden Gun', he was known to us Hazzardites as Sheriff Lester Crabb in 'Treasure of Hazzard'. He died yesterday (Saturday) due to complications from diabetes. He was either 95 or 96, depending on whether you believe the date of birth quoted on IMDb or Wikipedia - the news outlets all seem to be going with 96.

From Yahoo! News - Sun, 04 Mar 2007 02:17:33 GMT 8 P.M. (ABC Family) THE DUKES OF HAZZARD: THE BEGINNING (2007). April Scott, who hails from Poplar Bluff, Mo., the so-called gateway to the Ozarks, plays Daisy Duke in this made-for-television prequel based on the series about a couple of rabble-rousing Southern cousins. Jonathan Bennett plays Bo Hazzard, Randy Wayne is his cousin Luke, and Christopher McDonald gets gussied up in white as Boss ... More... I see in the paper today that Earle Hagen died. He was a musical legend in television in Hollywood. The list of big-time TV shows Earle and Dean Hagen were involved with is longer than the road from Hollywood to Georgia. You can see his name run on the credits of every episode of Dukes. (or at least I think every episode...maybe someone can confirm that) Thanks for contribution to the greatest show in history, Mr. Hagen!!

There was an article in the Erie (Pennsylvania) Times-News today. Apparently the writer (name not printed) of the article is familiar with the Dukes theme song because here is the first paragraph: "A Grinch has stolen a little bit more of John Schneider's Christmas than the law will allow: a couple of puppies." The story went on to explain that John's SUV was stolen in L.A. with two puppies in it that were intended for John's childern as Christmas presents. The SUV has been recovered but not the puppies. The puppies were described as a "Yorkie and Yorkie-Poodle mix" If this story has a happy ending and the puppies are returned, this has all the makings of a Dukes Christm…

Howdy y’all, just wanted to give a heads up in case nobody knows, not sure. Dukes are now available on Amazon Prime to stream, in excellent quality even though its the same as the hd tv airings I think. But definitely watchable! Given that I hope Warner will release the series again on blu ray in much higher quality than the old dvd prints.

In case you missed it on our homepage, you can see John Schneider, Don Pedro Colley and Byron Cherry at the Las Vegas Star Cars and Knight Rider Fest in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 18 & 19. It's a free event to the public, but of course the celebs in attendence (there are many) will charge something for their autographs. The promoter has gone out of his way to invite General Lee replica owners, so there's likely to be several of them there. And there's no getting around the fact this is a combined gig with the Knight Rider Festival so invariably, you're gonna have some KITT replicas running amok. See the homepage link up there for more details and for direct links to the …

I'm not sure of the details, but nobody had posted about it ( or at least I hadn't seen anything!) and thought I'd remind people, that he played Slick Dawgins in " Coltrane vs Duke" and he played other characters ( I'm blanking right now!) in the show at different times!

After reviewing this thread it sure seems like we're not doing a good job of informing folks about where our favorite actors are going to be. I was wondering with someone with more computer skills than me would be willing to adopt this forum. Is there any possibility that someone could surf around and gather all the information and post it here? My computer skills are 1 on a scale of 1-10 (all I do is HazzardNet) so I'm sure someone could find this stuff out better than me. Thanks to Tim Duke we know that Sonny Shroyer will be in Canton Ohio on Jan 23 and 24. I also heard John Schneider was going to be in Pittsburgh (Monroeville) some time in February. What else is goin…

In this casual, behind-the-scenes interview published May 2nd, Tom Wopat talks about his formative years at the music program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also spills the beans about the plans to do some casino concert gigs with John, and possibly do an album together. Tom also talks about his home state a bit. I dunno about ya'll, but I think it's way cool that a Dukes of Hazzard cast member actually owns a farm.

It looks like the British police have finally done what Boss and Rosco struggled with - they've caught the General Lee. The car in question was a replica which had broken down with gearbox trouble (I thought the General only got the vapors!). The police took the opportunity to make a couple of tweets, but admitted that the car was "fully road legal" and no offences had been committed. Full story at www.bbc.com.

Does anyone know when/if the first season DVD will be released in Australia? I have done abit of searching but haven't yet found an answer. The Dukes have just started airing again in Australia for the first time in a very long while, running right from the start. It's great to see it back on TV.

Good ol' boy John Schneider, otherwise known as "Bo Duke" from The Dukes of Hazzard, will be appearing at the Philadelphia Comic Con June 18th and 19th, 2011. A General Lee will also be on display. This show is crazy big, so if you plan on going, study up on the schedules, event times, parking, venue map, and all that stuff. Here's a link that you can follow to John's page for the event. Click around from there for the show details. http://www.wizardworld.com/johnschneider.html
