Folks, several people have been signing up with inappropriate and destructive links in their profiles. To stop this behavior and to protect our membership, I have decided to disable website links in member profiles. I realize this is somewhat of a penalty for those of you who have websites, but it is needed to prevent our membership from getting viruses from these sites and to protect those of our members who are minors from stumbling onto some incredibly disgusting and inappropriate websites. The latest batch of new member profiles had links to sites that were riddled with viruses and trojans. Tactics like these are usually done by outsiders with no interest in sticking …

Just an FYI, I'm in the process of moving inactive forums to Hogg's Heavenly Acres, a read-only section where old forums will be preserved, but can't be replied to. If a forum ends up there and there's a thread in it that you think is worthy of reviving, let me know and I'll move it to another appropriate active forum.

Hey, folks. That chat room is back! And this time, you have an option to choose Java, Flash, or Mobile/HTML, whatever works best for you. How many of you would be interested in doing a monthly (or more frequent) chat where we all cue up our Dukes dvds and watch an episode and comment on it together in the chat room? If y'all are interested, one way I've found that works well is for people to sign up for a certain day/time to host a particular episode and they'll be in charge of kicking the viewing off and perhaps adding little tidbits of trivia about that episode and the cast/crew. Guess who turned 20 years old on January 11th? Completely slipped my mind. I started HazzardNet on 1/11/1999. I want to thank everyone who has helped make HazzardNet what it is and who've stuck with me all these years. I know I haven't been around much lately due to health issues and stress from work, so I'm incredibly grateful so many of you are still here keeping the spirit of the Dukes alive.

Seems HazzardNet got hacked. Fortunately, it appears damage was limited and I have banned the accounts involved. Unfortunately, upon upgrade, I lost a lot of the color changes I made to the forums and it will take me a while to redo. I also had to disable blogs for the time being, as they were throwing errors. Hopefully that will be fixed with the next software update.

Horrible news! I just heard that Dukes stuntman Al Wyatt Jr. passed away this morning. My prays and thoughts go out to the his family and friends.

Howdy, folks! I will be attempting a software update on the forums this weekend, most likely Saturday. If all goes well, we'll have spiffy new forums. If all doesn't go well, I'll be rolling back to the current forums software. Wish me luck! I'm going to need it.

Howdy! HazzardNet is enjoying some great new people as we continue to grow. But with that, every now and then, comes the occassional stray bullet that's out to cause trouble. If y'all see any posts that are obnoxious and inflammatory - don't panic. Most of all - don't react and take the bait. Report it to us via a Pirvate Message or email and we'll take care of it. Without attention and reaction, the disruptive types eventually get bored and wander off, looking for other message boards to annoy. By the power vested in me as the owner of HazzardNet, I hereby declare HossC as the newest moderator of our forums. Many of you know he's a long time veteran of HazzardNet and has been keeping a keen eye on the forums in my absence, so I figured we'd make it official and give him moderator superpowers to toss any spammers and riff-raff in the hoosegow.

I've posted this thread also down in her own character section, but John has reported on his twitter that Peggy Rae, the wonderful woman who brought Lulu Coltrane Hogg to our screens so many years ago, has passed away this week. 'Dukes fans out there mourn the passing of the delightful Peggy Raye this week. Lulu Hogg made millions smile. She's in a better place. John' My condolences and i'm sure many others go to her family and those friends that were so close to this wonderful lady.

Don't know if anyone on here knows yet,but Whitney Houston passed away yesterday She was found unresponsive in her Beverly Hills hotel room, and despite 20 minutes of resuscitation she was pronounced dead. Police say there's no sign of foul play,and the coroner has yet to perform an autopsy. R.I.P Whitney,you will never be forgotten.

A while back BoJames had a great idea in which we put a pre-picked episode in the DVD and hit "Play" at the same time and chatted about the episode while we watched it together. I was wondering if anyone would want to get together at 9pm (EST) on Thursday and watch a Lulu episode together while we hung out in the chat room talking about it. We'd have to decide which episode to watch. There's 5 of them listed on the "Favorite Lulu Episodes". Considering the title "Lulu's Gone Away" that would seem like the obvious choice. Personally I'd rather watch something more upbeat and fun like "Sadie Hogg Day" where Lulu was Boss.

I am creating a new membership group for veteran members that will allow them special privileges, such as being able to upload larger images, adding attachments to PMs, and extending the window for editing posts to 60 minutes instead of just 10 minutes. To join this group, you will have to meet certain criteria, such as being a member for over 2 years or having more than 100 posts. In addition, you must request to join the group. It will not be automatic. I will post more information as I get ready to roll this feature out. So, veteran members of HazzardNet, are there any other perks you would like that I may be able to add to the Veteran member group? -Mufn

Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but are there any plans for a HazzardNet app for mobile (phone/tablet/etc.)?

We have updated the forums to new software. We've imported the old forums, but you'll all need to recreate your avatars. There was some sort of glitch with that operation.
