I just saw the latest Duck Dynasty. Willie has opened a restaurant and his signature sandwich is called The Boss Hogg. (I'm not sure if he spells it with 2 Gs). He said he named it that because he wants to get back to his roots. Apparently that means that he used to be called Boss Hogg and misses the nickname. I'm not exactly sure if that's what he meant by the roots comment but I am exactly sure that anything with a Dukes of Hazzard reference to it in anyway puts a smile on this old redneck's face!

An excellent suggestion by cousin Roger, was to start a new thread for the annual race this year! I thought...YES! That's an excellent suggestion! I'm going to smoke cousin Roger! No matter what he says! I've invented a new engine for the Moonshine mauler! It uses gas or shine equally well! I'll be communing with the spirits, while running the race and if I start running low on gas, instead of a pit stop, I'll save/make time, by pouring shine into the tank without having to hit pit road. I remember a couple of years ago i saw on youtube behind the scenes rare videos of season 7 miniature/scale models test shots. Any of you has that stuff ? i would love to see it again Pictures and info would be cool too ! Where are those models now ? i have never seen them auctioned or something like that Thanks guys

I thought it would be fun to hear everyone's idea of a personalized fantasy Dukes episode. Here's the rules.... 1) Keep it brief. This isn't fanfic. 2) Try to put youself in the episode but that's NOT required. Hello, My wife and i were talking about some shows we both grew up watching as children and teens, and this one was at the top of the list, well for me anyways...she says her favorites were Little House On The Prarie and The Waltons...but she did watch the Dukes of Hazzard too now and then with her brothers and sister. I never missed one single episode of The Dukes of Hazzard or any of it's spin-offs for that matter, like Enos or The Dukes cartoon show. They seemed to embody all that was fun and wholesome with television then. Hello people, I was wondering if you ever saw a General Lee in person? I define a General Lee as being a 1969 Dodge Charger with paint job. Me, myself and I have never seen a drivable 1969 Dodge Charger. Let alone a General Lee. :cry: Though I was lucky enough to see a 1969 Dodge Charger in Haynes International Motor Museum during my vacation to the UK 3 years ago. more or less boycotting the Dukes. On the DVD only Daisy and Bo narrate the "behind the scenes" commentary on the first episode. Secondly, when they have the reunion with roscoe, enos, cletidus, daisy, bo, etc Tom Wopat is no where to be found. Is he still mad about the contract dispute and that some of the episodes got kinda cheesy over the years?

General Grant wrote a post recently that made me wonder if any of ya'all would want to share the story of the first time you fell in love with the Dukes. I was going to truck driving school for the USMC (Reserves) in Camp Lejeune North Carolina when the series first came out. Hi all! Diehard Gilligan's Island/Alan Hale Jr. (Skipper Jonas Grumby) fan since age 3 1990. Been on a mission of trying to find the black yacht cap made by Lancaster that he wears in the show 3 seasons 98 episodes 1964-1967 with the hand embroidered gold bullion wire crossed anchors life ring ropes emblem. No luck. I did find one but it isn't Lancaster and has a machine made sewn on patch. Midway Cap Co. Brand from the 1st TV Reunion Movie Rescue From Gilligan's Island(1978) is what I've found during my search for a black one. Ordered it on 4/1/14. Arrived 4/28/14.
