I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of you out there who have served your country. My dad served in the Navy, My Uncle served in the Marines and was KIA in Vietnam and listed on the wall in DC and buried in Arlington, and my grandpa served in the Navy during WWII in the P2 boats. Our country would not be what it is today if not for those who served it. So thank you to each and everyone of you out there for all you've done when you served. God Bless you and thank you for serving your country and Happy Memorial Day!

Tomorrow morning, my mother is going into the hospital to have a colostomy. For months, since Christmas or before, she has been sick to her stomach with almost everything she eats. She has been to 3 doctors and they all say different things: Hernias, or a bloated colon. She cant anything at all today except jello, so she is really moody and crabby today. She has never been through this before. My mother is my best friend, and i dont know what would happen to me if I ever lost her. I know this might sound selfish of me, but I dont know how i will do tomorrow during this. Do you know of anything that has been through this before? How did they do? PLease keep us in mind. Su…

Howdy Hazzard! Lemme be polite and introduce myself. My name is Emma, and I've been a Dukes fan since high school. My boyfriend at the time was a big fan, so he introduced me to the Dukes. Turns out that now I'm a bigger fan than he is! Now, I need a little help from somebody. My friends and I have been going crazy trying to remember what the name of the Dukes' goat is. You know, the one that seems to be in every exterior shot of the farm. We think it's mentioned in an episode, but we can't recall. Anybody know? No one we talked to at DukesFest knew. Thanks a bunch! Emma

YAY First post! Anyhoo, most of you may or may not know that without James Best there would be no Bandit and probably no Dukes Of Hazzard either. How you may ask? Well, if you think about it James Best coached Burt Renyolds and helped him start his acting career. So if James hadn't have been at one time an acting coach and Burt never studied under him Burt might never have become the bandit. Sure the bandit might've been made because of the ideas in the directors head but Burt might never had been included in it along with Jerry. Or Jerry might've been the bandit in all three movies. (Though as much as I love Jerry Reed he just didn't fit the bandit namesake.) Anyway…

There's a well-known pub chain in the UK that's commonly known as Wetherspoon's. They have nearly 1,000 premises, and many occupy unusual buildings such as old banks, post offices and cinemas. What I didn't know until a few minutes ago is that there's a Dukes tie-in with their name. The full name of the company is JD Wetherspoon, and, according to their own website, the name Wetherspoon comes from a teacher of the chain's founder (who reportedly told him he'd never amount to anything), while the "JD" part comes from a certain J.D. Hogg. You can see the about page from their website here. From Wikipedia, here's an ex-cinema building in Liverpool: I guess it's true that yo…

Did Bo & Luke have a job or did they live off of Daisy's waitress job? Uncle Jesse had the farm but they didn't farm anything that I know of. I know they often got accused of running moonshine but that was not their profession. I know they got prize money from races, and they sometimes did car repairs, and sometimes they got rewards from their adventures, but it would be hard to live like that. Just wondering if they ever alluded to what they did for a living.

I'm going back watching the TV shows from season 1-7 and am now at the end of season 2. Any idea why James Best (Rosco) wasn't on the show towards the end of season 2 and Rosco was in "training"?

There was a post in the movie section, calling the show campy. I agree the show was campy. At first all it was to be was a mid season filler, which means it was doomed from the start, the fact it lasted 7 years is a miracle. To make the movie accurate, they had to use younger actors, Johnny knoxville as Luke, wasnt really a good idea, he has more of Bo's personality, just give him a blond wig. But quit damning the movie, we are beginning to sound like star wars fans here, (remember them, we used to beat them up, and call them geeks). The only thing we can do is wait, and see how the movie comes out. The only info we have, is he said, she said, and backstage rumors.…

For those paying attention to the home page, y'all know we're listing the Boar's Nests we can find that may relate to the Dukes of Hazzard in some way. I'll keep track of 'em here. I've got a couple more in addition to what's already on the home page. As a bonus, I've found a couple more pics of the aforementioned BN Daisy Duke contest in Allen's Grove. This is the talent portion of the BN Allen's Grove Daisy Duke contest. The competitors must slide in and out of a General Lee and show their style and grace. This guy standing behind the contestant is a safety assitant, to make sure a lady doesn't fall while performing this feat of agility. This gal has the...assets, fo…

So I bumped into "Hazard Net worth" on Google and come to find out the HazzardNet is worth $100 million dollars. Then I realized I made a mistake and football (soccer) player Eden Hazard is worth $100 million dollars. Shucks, I was planning on hitting up Meadowmufn for some money so I could put together a race car and win the Hazzard 500.
