Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Awhile ago, I watched Mars Attacks (1996) and there was a scene about halfway through the movie where the aliens have a TV or something in the spaceship and the flip the channels. One of the things you see is a small part of the intro,the part where it shows the General Leecruising down the road and makes a hard turn to the left. It;s were the title comes up on the screen. I gonna go watch that part agian (in the movie).

Howdy y'all. Me thinks Warner Bros. reunited the REAL Dukes in that Smallville series episode as their way to apologize for the 2005 movie that pissed a lot of fans off.

If it had been traditional, there probably would have been an overused laugh track and the show would have tried to be preachy and topical with "very special episodes"

Hello everyone. Long time fan of the show, first time poster. Ive read thru a lot of the previous posts and done a lot of searching on my own but I have to admit when I'm licked and need him from some experts on this. Ive been searching for a sound clip of Rosco's police siren. Sure there are lots of police sirens online but finding one that sounds like Rosco's (and defintely not that wailing moan of Cletus' patrol car had) seems like it doesn't exist. Can anyone help me with this? I'm back on the first season and the first episode is " One Armed Bandits" and it turns out that Luke loaned his car to Cooter and he never gets it back! OK..... 1. What kind of car was it? 2. Why did Cooter need it? 3. Why didn't Luke ever get it back? Nobody seems to have thought about this!

This is something I may have mentioned before, not sure but we've got some newer people in here since then ( More citizens of Hazzard! ) and I thought I would mention it. There was Huey Hogg and then his older brother Dewy Hogg.....we're missing one that never was shown....Louie! They should have had a show with him in it! They HAD to be named after the 3 nephews of Scrooge McDuck! That's a cartoon and Scrooge McDuck's 3 nephews are 1. Huey 2. Dewy 3. Louie.

Did you ever notice Boss's nephew Huey Hogg, had a brother named Dewey Hogg and he only appeared in one episode but it made me notice, Huey, Dewey,........remember Donald Duck's 3 nephews? Huey, Dewey and Louie! We never got to see a " Louie" though, unfortunately! I think the DOH could've/should've run for a lot longer than it did! Maybe they would've eventually had a " Louie" Hogg!

Has anyone else noticed how, when Boss' speed trap nails a speeder and he has to play and sing to get out of the fine and avoid jail time etc., that that one person sounds like a whole band? A perfect example is Roy Orbison. I just saw him on one and he played an Ovation 6 string acoustic and out of that, came a bass guitar and a drum set.…!!! Why didn't they at least have the entire band there to make it at least LOOK right! Dottie West is another example. They DID have all the Oak Ridge boys there once but most of them were a one man invisible band!

I downloaded it but it didnt download any different than when I had earlier versions of windows so I didnt get all the components on my computer such as shut down screen ect. We should dedicate something to them....sort of a Dukes Hall of Fame for everybody who has made major contributions to keeping the Dukes Nation strong. I have always been curious as to why they never did a flashback story on when Bo , Luke, and Daisy ended up at the farm and I know that Bo and Luke were little babies when they came to the farm because in A Baby For The Dukes", Uncle Jesse says that Bo and Luke were about that size. Daisy was six when she came I would have really liked to have seen an episode like that. :p

I've always liked the episodes with Boss's maybe-even-crookeder nephew Hughie Hogg. He was always an enjoyable character, and was good to have a younger character of Bo / Luke / Daisy's own sort of age, but with Boss's cunning, for them to tackle once in a while. What is everyone's favourite (and least favourite) Hughie episodes? Hello. I've been after a DVD set of the show, but I'd like to know if any of y'all have made picture quality comparisons between all the ones available? Far as I know, there's the "Original Set" with the Confederate Flag, and then two repackaged releases (Standard DVD cases and a newer with two fat cases containing all discs), released in the U.S. Now, in the U.K., there were the individual DVD seasons and a complete boxset (repackage of the individual seasons). There might be more in the world, although the best ones are likely the U.S. due to being in NTSC format and running at the correct framerate. P.S. Yes, Amazon does have the series beautifully …

I don't know if there's a cartoon post or not, so here goes.....I've only seen about half the 20 episodes ( wife bought me the entire collection for Christmas) . They are VERY boring! Flash doesn't look right with his hat and Rosco doesn't look like Rosco....they drew everybody else well....why not him? They keep hoping around to other countries....WHY??? I'm working on a story and I was wondering if anyone remembers the road that the Dukes took to get to the coffin works? I remember that it was kind of out in the boonies and that's what I really need for my story to work. I won't go into too much detail so I don't spoil my current story for those that are following it (but willing to share through messages if anyone is curious) but needless to say I plan a bit of drama in the coming chapters that will include a stop off at the coffin works. If anyone happens to know the answer let me know. I'm at work and writing so I don't have my DVD's handy. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi everybody, this is my first post here, but i've been lurking for a while a nd have read all your funny post. Yesterday i was watching Mrs.Daisy Hogg and when Daisy is about to marry Jamie L. Hogg i thought that was not the first time she fell in love, because i can recall she having a crush on Gaylord Duke in Duke of Duke...which made me wonder how many other times she falls in love during the series. And Bo&Luke? Bo has several crushes during the show, Diane Benson in Carnival of Thrills on top on my mind, but there must be others. I can't remember anything about poor Luke though Thanks
