Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

I started season 5 not too long ago and I've noticed that Cooter is missing from several episodes in the early middle of the season. He is explained to be on vacation but why was Ben Jones not present for filming?

Who do y'all think the most attractive female guest/minor character on The Dukes of Hazzard was? Remember these are characters who only appeared one or a few times, not counting Catherine Bach/Daisy Duke. If possible, include pictures. (If this hasn't already been done before.).

Many of you know the Dukes' farmhouse in Georgia has been demolished. I think it'd be cool if somebody bought the property and turned it into a Dukes museum; an exact replica of how it looked in 1978. Thoughts? Obviously I can't do it. I'm a broke 16 year old in Michigan.

In "Return of the Ridge Runners", Jesse tells Bo and Luke to go to Aunt Lavinia's place. Luke then mentions that the two haven't spoken in 20 years. But I thought that Aunt Lavinia was Jesse's late wife. This confuses me.

So was Cooter's Garage built between "High Octane" and "Swamp Molly" or did he buy it between those episodes?

I have never noticed anyone watching TV on Dukes. Were there any episodes with TVs?

Were there any apartments in Hazzard county?

Did it ever show where Rosco lived? Or his life at home?

I know about Ben Jones leaving the show temporarily over a dispute. But how was Cooter's absence explained in the show when his cousins filled in for him? I know James Best's absence was written in as Rosco went to Atlanta to retrain at the police academy.

Was anybody ever killed off on the show?

How come when I click on " New posts", nothing ever comes up?? Just a question for smarter minds than mine, here in Hazzard! .

In tonight's episode Dukes of Hazzard was an answer It was funny watching the lady give horrible clues on it. At the end of the round the other lady said "why didn't you just say General Lee" .

Went to a Brad Paisley concert last night in Tampa; in addition to it being a great show, the title song from his new album has a nice little Dukes tribute. Take a look at the chorus below. I've said for long time that a new Dukes series should have Brad Paisley music in it; this song could be the new theme! I'm hoping there are some eagle-eyed motorcycle enthusiasts among us here- I'd like to know what kind of motorcycle Cooter rode into the Boar's Nest in 'Luke's Love Story'. Any help is greatly appreciated! Mark

Maybe it's not as evident in the first season, but in Ghost of General Lee and several episodes after that, you can really see a caring side to Rosco that you don't see often...his face when the General is jumping into the pond in Ghost of General Lee (although it wasn't Bo and Luke) but you can really see he actually does like the Duke Boys, he enjoys the chase, he wouldn't actually want to hurt them at all. Does anyone like this side to Rosco? I really do.

Hope this might make for an interesting thread for the more hardcore 'nit picker' fans (a dedicated group of which I proudly consider myself to be!) As we know, continuity from episode to episode in the Dukes was (sadly) fairly rare. After each average episode was over, the reset button was effectively pressed; things seldom affected future episodes* and there is rarely reference back to events of specific previous episodes. But there are a few exceptions, and I thought it would be fun to gather them. (* obvious exceptions, such as Daisy's Plymouth being replaced with a jeep (confused with jumbled broadcast order), Enos leaving/returning, Bo and Luke leaving/returning, …

Age 88, from complications of pneumonia at a hospice in North Carolina. RIP, Sheriff Rosco and thanks for the many laughs. A class act.

Bo Duke turns 55 tomorrow (April 8). Think about this for a second. Since Uncle Jesse was born in 1920 he was 59 in 1979 when the show first came out. This means that Bo is only 4 years away from being Jesse's age! By the way, I turn 55 just 7 days after Bo so that's why I think about these things.

I can't stand The Dukes of Hazzard anymore. In fact, I've grown to hate the show. I've found this new show called Keeping up with the Kardashians that is amazing. I hope they have a KardashianNet because I want to leave here and join that if they do. The Kardashians are a billion times cooler than the Dukes. April Fools. And Happy Sadie Hogg Day!

Where he goes to LA? Heard about it for years, never seen an episode. Love to though. I've looked on You Tube and online -- nothing. Thanks!
