Tom Wopat/Luke Duke

Whether it was on broadway, in the movies, or on television. Personally, I liked his appearances as the 'granite guy' on Home Improvement. He was cute. I also watched him on Cybill (I think he was the only reason I watched it, but I did think Cybill and Maryann were funny too). Christmas Comes To Willow Creek is another one I liked. It's always a treat to see Tom and John in something besides 'Dukes of Hazzard'. Unfortunately, I haven't see him in person on broadway, but there's always hope that I do get to the 'big apple' sometime.

It was so nice to see Tom with John, Cathy, Sonny, Ben, and James last night on stage together. Tom looked 'hot' He was sporting the clean shaven look for his upcoming 'Glengarry Glen Ross' play. I think he looks good clean shaven and unshaven. What do all you ladies think. He had the cutest expression on his face when he was trying to get the audience to 'quiet down'.

As a huge fan of Tom Wopat (have you not guessed yet!) it has come to my attention over the past few days how different Tom looks now compared to when he was younger. Quite frankly, I can't decide, I like the way he looks both now and then! What about you?

I really love Tom's singing voice. Ever since I got those two CDs, I haven't been able to stop listening to them. Its like silk. Its very relaxing which I need when I am having an anxiety attack. Keep up the good work Tom, you're amazing!!!!

Did the board server hiccup and delete my account and my post by accident, or did I violate some weird rule yesterday and get swabbed without any explaination? Since the system allowed me to re-create the account with the same nick, I'll assume it was the former until someone informs me otherwise.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tomtown This group is run by Tom's agent. I do post on this group under my real name, Heidi. Kitty, DixieDavenport, and any other Luke Duke fans, I invite you over to join this group. There's lots of candid pictures of Tom and his fans. You'll have a great time!

Has anyone ever noticed that eye wink of Luke's? I sure have! HUBBA HUBBA! It's in every other episode and it's SO FINE! LOL!

This is information I found from various articles from his official website. Well, he was married and divorced twice. He has five children (from oldest to youngest) Lindsay, Adam, Joey, Taylor, and Walker . He's 6'1, his full name is Thomas Steven Wopat, and his ethnic background is Polish. All in all, he's still handsome at 53 (I'm 25 (almost 26) and I'm lusting over someone who's the same age as my uncle).

Did you know in that episode Tom took an unexpected Punch and wound up a beauty of a Shiner and to top it all off he had a 2 week headache can you believe that the man who played Catfish Lee hit our man that hard He was left with a bruise on the end of his eyebrow that looked pretty bad.

Tom Wopat will be performing on Feb 12, 2005 at the Tilles Center in Old Westbury , NY . He will be in the production of "Over The Rainbow" . I saw the ad in our paper this past weekend. I think it is only a one night show.. I will post more info when I find out more.. Darrell

Tom will be joining Alan Alda, Liev Schrieber, Jeffery Tambor, Fredrick Weller, and Gordie Clapp in a revivial of Broadway's Glengarry Glen Ross. Tom plays the role of James Langk. The preformances start on May 1. Tom just finished a stint with Chicago. Full details below. http://www.broadway.com/Gen/Buzz_Story.aspx?ci=504467

Yes Tom is my cousin. I'm not sure exactly how closely we are related, but I'm pretty sure he's my dad's 2nd cousin. I have personally never met him, but I know my dad went to his farm when they were kids. Hopefully one of these days I can meet him when he's in Wisconsin. There was one family reunion he was going to be at when I was younger, but he couldn't make it. So I just wanted to introduce myself, and let you all know there's part of the Wopat family on the board.

Cause I recall him saying in a interview that I read that he and his Daddy would Auction off Cows at the Rodeo so he must have roped a few right ?

I saw this listed on Yahoo Jan. 25, 2004. Also, can be viewed at http://www.playbill.com/news/article/83797.html and http://www.broadwayacrossamerica.com/home/story.cfm?STID=3742 It looks like my favorite Duke had more tallent than the "critics" (that said the show wouldn't last past the first commercial !) gave him credit for!!! Way to go Tom!!! But you'll always be Luke Duke to me! DixieDavenport

I'm just Curious but was Tom a Geek in his School Days ? cause he wore Glasses , Contacts when he was a little boy , Teenager , and a Young Man. Cause he always has to wear Glasses , Contacts even when he was on the Dukes.

Tom Wopat's birthday is tomorrow - September 9th! I hope he has a great birthday!...he is such a talented man, though as I have said before, The dukes held a very talented cast. I know I enjoyed watching him as Luke Duke on the Dukes. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM/LUKE!
