It has been years since I've seen the show and would like to get the dvds, but I'm worried because Dukes Of Hazzard is on the list of dvds affected by Warner Bros. disc rot. Does anyone know if this is true ? Which complete series set should I try for ?

I think this only affects earlier pressings, 2006-2008. Anything manufactured after 2008 should be fine. That said, I think Warner Bros has said they would replace them. https://nypost.com/2025/03/13/tech/your-old-dvds-are-suffering-disc-rot-warner-bros-will-replace-them/

  2. I've put up so many Dukes related memes on the HazzardNet facebook page, I figured we might as well start a thread where everyone can post ones they've made. Here's my latest, from Ray Kohn's (Northeast Ohio Dukes) jump over the fountain in Somerset, KY during the Somernites event.

May be an image of text that says 'Best Gender Reveal Ever! R HaiD M HazzardNet.com facebook.com/thehazzardnetl'

  3. Since Rick and Lalo passed on the same day and you folks liked to talk about it, I didn't want Rick's thread to get overrun, so I'm starting this one. Post your favorite Lalo Schifrin music here.

Mission: Impossible theme is probably the most memorable of them all. I have the entire soundtrack from the show.

  4. When I first met Rick, it was in the 90's, so the WWW was in its infancy. When I told him about HazzardNet's predecessor (the Hazzard County Sheriff's Department on Prodigy), he was excited there was a community of fans online still discussing and enjoying the show. He told me he'd be right back and when he returned, he handed me an enormous folder of 8x10s, several of them signed. That was very generous of him. I still have them packed away from the move, but when I find them (someday), I will scan them in and put them on the site.

When I mentioned where I worked at the time, we had a connection there and he told me some amazing stories. We just had an awesome conversation. He was very personable and gracious. At the Dukesfest in '01, I got to do an impromptu square dance with him and Jimmie. :D Good times. I would've liked to have gotten to know him better, but my health and work situations over the years didn't permit me to get to events as much as I'd have liked.

HDOHD!!!  ( Happy Dukes Of Hazzard Day)  Right now I'm still TCB but I guess tonight I'll have pizza, and won't have to get up early tomorrow and I'll watch DOH....THE BEST THINGS EVER!  ( of course I will be indulging in some Adult Beverages later! .....after I pick my wife up! :) )
We got enough beer paid up for everybody to have a nice cold one tonight and we can watch our fav. show and have a good time!!

    Enjoy your beer!

Roger....you mean you didn't  even think it had a GHOST of a chance?  LOL! :)  Personally one of, if not my VERY fav. is Two Too Many Roscoes!  That one and Ghost show just how talented an actor Jimmy was!

Too Many Roscoes might just be my favorite. I may be a little biased.  But Rosco-centric episodes always rank high on my list.

Oh, If you mentioned that earlier I missed it. But everybody here knows how bad I am figuring things out on computers. The results surprised me. I can see One Armed Bandits or Shine and Roses but Ghost shocked me. I never thought that would ever  get anywhere near the top.

I think Jimmie's and Denver's scenes together in "Ghost" really had an impact. Larry Franks (DukesCollector.com) called it in the first round. :lol:image.png

  8. My parents were married 67 years, just a few months shy of 68 years when dad passed. They got married at 19 (mom) and 21 (dad). I've been married almost 23 years. My oldest sister celebrates anniversary #32 this year and my other sister will celebrate #26 later this year. So, my advice would be to find someone who's been married a long time and get advice from them! Because whatever my mom and dad were doing right, it seemed to rub off on us kids.

My mom always told me that the key to a long marriage was.... 2 tv sets. :D And for the record, all of us kids have more than 1 tv set.
