Duke's clothes

Featured Replies

Ok, it seems only Daisy change is clothes almost every episode; Jesse rarely, Luke sometimes have a different shirt (always squared but a little different colour).

Bo has always the same yellow shirt (sometimes with the blue one under): only in few episodes I saw him with another shirt: a red one in "Daisy's song" and one about Christmas...

Bo's shirt changes slightly from season to season; different shades or even thicknesses depending on time of year. But yes, it did always seem to be yellow or tan... And Luke did usually have various blue plaids, although sometimes he wore solid blue too.

Not sure why.

Oh, but just now I remember that in the episode "High octane" Bo wore a light blue shirt (not the one he wears under the yellow one) and he looked sooooo goood!!!

lol yeah it does seem that their wardrobes only ever consist of what they wear in the show. Luke has blue whatever, be it plaid or solid, Bo has yellow and blue...I think he stole one of Luke's plaid shirts for the christmas...a green one that maybe Luke didn't like so much lol and a really wierd red one that just seemed like they were testing out what colours looked good on Bo lol. But, they rarely ever change their jeans...they're nearly always the same! And their belt buckles as well, i dont know if even they change lmao.

Yeah, Daisy is the only one that changes clothes. I loved Bo in that red shirt and wished they had let him change more. But I have noticed that Bo's jeans do change. They change color (at first they are light and then they seem to grow darker) and tightness (I guess you would call it that). Luke's jeans seem to stay the same though.

You know, I always wondered about the Duke's clothes and the reason why they rarely changed. Was it because so much of the budget went towards the car stunts, that they had to spare the Dukes a bigger wardrobe? Or was it intentional, to make the Duke's appear to be poor? :-?

ya know, I don't think it's either actually. I think that they always had the Duke boys in the same clothing cause you could identify them more (or the fans could with their products). Some shows just don't like to change their characters clothing that much. I think Daisy was the only one that changed was because she was such a sex symbol back them. Guys wanted to see her in different tops and short shorts.

You mean the Duke Boys changed clothes??? Oh yeah, they had prison uniforms on in Cool Hands Luke and Bo...ha ha ha...

I was just gonna say the same thing....8-)

They kept them in the same clothes so that they could use the stunt material over and over again. The stunt guys wore blue and yellow, too, obviously. In fact, sometimes you can see that the diver will be wearing yellow even though in closeups, Luke is driving.

Bo always looked terrific in his jeans - even by the fashion of those days his were tight. Maybe he didn't change 'em, but he changed the way he packed 'em - usually to the left, but sometimes to the right and occasionally seems he just didn't know which side to put everything!

My favorite Bo piece of clothing is his belt.

I would love to have that belt. I love the design

on it.

Cousin Jessi Duke... The maker is Terry Lankford. You can contact him to custom make you one. It is called a Sand Dollar. The belt will cost you $300 USD.

You always knew when it was a special occasion when Cooter wore the brown leather vest. It was in various episodes sometimes worn by others. In Lukes Lovestory when he singshe wears the vest and Cooter out in the audience doesn’t look happy about it lolol.  I wonder whatever happened to all their clothes after the show got canceled.

Anybody who knows about that vest is a big time Dukes fan. Welcome to the HazzardNet. I always wondered about all that stuff too. I was 25 when the show got cancelled but I wish I would have known what I know now. I would have tried to find a way to get some of that stuff.

I'd sell my house for an original red Jesse hat. Even if it meant living in a tent. I did contact Denver Pyle's son quite a few years ago but he referred me to Denver's widow, who I couldn't get ahold of.

Cooter wore it in " Cooter's Girl"
