I'm not surprised. It will probably be a few years before the Dukes will be back on TV if ever again. By then WB will probably go thru every minute and fuzzy censor the flag. Glad I got my complete dvd collection. Why didn't people go all this crazy when James Holmes professed to being a real 'Joker' and demand that WB/DC banish the Joker comic character.

Those cars I linked to above are actually S Scale in the hobby train world as Slot car HO scale is 1/64th. I did not realize they were two different scales for slot cars and trains. Yeah the multiple commercial breaks are quite annoying. I usually just mute them or turn the channel for a few minutes. It sucks how much is cut out of the older shows for syndication these days. Most of the DoH episodes are 47+ minutes so if TV Land is running them for 70 minutes that must mean they are running mostly unedited episodes. Other hour long shows they just cut about 5 min out of them to bring the episodes down to 41-43 minutes. Half hour long shows used to be about 24min:30sec. now just as you pointed out they are about 19-21 minutes. This one channel called MeTV runs shows from the 1950's-1990's. In a recent episode of Danny Thomas from the 1950's I noticed they cut out about an extra minute as I recalled there was a scene missing, they replaced that missing scene with a minute long commercial for the latest wonder drug. Nascar is just getting more un-watchable live. It's usually 3-5 minutes of racing and 5 minutes of commercial until the final 15 minutes of the race. With most of the races on FS1 and NBCSN I won't be watching them as I don't feel like paying extra for channels I won't watch 95% of the time. Though if you do want to watch the races Nascar posts them on their youtube channel a week or two after the race mostly commercial free aside from the youtube ads.

Well Amazon and Google Shop just joined the party in banning Confederate Flag merchandise However Amazon also said it "reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of listings on its site" so Dukes of Hazzard merch. might get a pass on that regard. I'm all for Responsible Gun Ownership but in my opinion there's just some guns that should not be legal for everyone to own. It's really unfortunate that G.W. Bush's regime allowed the Assault Weapons Ban expire in 2004. Another thing it should not be easier to buy a gun than to get your driver's license, if anything it should be harder to get a gun. You should have to pass a educational course on gun ownership. Doesn't matter anyways as lobbyists control Washington D.C. and the Gun lobbyists have a lot of "friends" in their back pockets so gun reform won't happen anytime soon in this country.

I think they're both off of a Plymouth Fury or Dodge Monaco like the ones used for police cars in the show. Lord knows they had enough parts left over from wrecked ones to use as props.

They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel on Dancing with the Stars anymore, Wife is also a sometimes fan when there is absolutely nothing else to watch on TV. Some of the contestants aren't even real 'stars'. Would be neat to see Tom, John & Catherine battling for the win though.

I know what you mean Local exotic car show I went too a few weeks ago I got shoved out of the way by an impatient jerk who couldn't wait the millisecond for my camera's shutter to work. Some nice pics you got. My grandpa had a red Gran Torino without the white Starsky & Hutch stripe, that thing was a beast when it ran but unfortunately it wasn't all that reliable

That was the only part worth watching so you didn't miss much. A lot of empty stands this year even more so than last year I think.

Great post on the main page meadowmuffin Growing up watching the Dukes of Hazzard it sorta feels like I lost a great uncle. I also remember him in 2 episodes of Andy Griffith where he played a wandering guitar player Jim Lindsey.

They get destroyed during the production of the movie in various stunts. Hollywood isn't in the car restoring business so whatever cars get wrecked during filming 9 times out of 10 get sent to the scrapyard unless someone involved with the movie or tv show wants to buy and fix up the wrecks.

Just read a story that the latest Furious movie destroyed most of the cars they bought for production including 9 1968-70 dodger Chargers . I know it's a drop in the bucket compared to how many were destroyed making the Dukes of Hazzard series but still sad to see 9 more go to the scrapyard. I'll be glad when this movie franchise is finally dead!

I think they brought Danica up to cup too soon. She should have stayed in xfinity series for another season or two. Even with extra time in the lower series she'd probably still be a mid field finisher at best.

I tend to skip some of the Coy & Vance episodes though I will say those episodes allowed Denver and Catherine to shine a brighter light.
