There goes my first choice
I'd choose Cooter, the stories he could tell would probably fill a day, plus you could learn to supe up anything in the process.
It finally feels like winter here again with temps in the 20s & 30's and snow on the ground . We set a record here for one of the top 5 warmest January's and a new record for most consecutive days above freezing, 9, almost made it to 10 straight but the 10th day's low was 30. Also had one of the rainiest January's, nearly 4 inches of rain when the normal is around 1 inch of rain.
Wow I can't believe they just screwed Nascar up that bad.
Races will be broken down into 3 segments with caution periods in between to give media enough time to interview segment winners. Redid the whole points system again. Top ten in points will receive points for first 2 segments and the 3rd segment will be awarded points like a regular race 40pts +5 bonus pts for the winner - 1 point for 40th place.
We'll find out tonight if the rumors are true there's going to be a big press conference @ 6pm eastern which you can watch live here http://www.nascar.com/presspass.html.
The Eight Fifteens - A Happy Ending from the album Lost Transmission
My cousin and his buddies started this band though they recently played their last gig together. You can find more of the songs from this album and other covers they did on Youtube
Well Garrett if the rumors are true Nascar fans are in for a shock this season. Apparently Brian France hasn't instituted enough gimmicks and the latest rumor is races will now be segmented. It's unknown if it will be like Allstar format with 3 different lap segments or if it will be 100laps/miles or if like in the Truck series it will be a Caution Clock sort of rule. Me personally I don't care about Nascar anymore, sure I'll watch the Daytona 500, Talladega races, Darlington Races and the Road course races but for the rest of the races I'll just catch the Monday morning short youtube video recaps. Not gonna waste anymore Sundays on this Circus.
Just watched Carl Edwards Retirement Press Conference. It was sort of like he was still trying to talk himself into retiring. I bet Dale Earnhardt Jr's concussion last year weighed heavily on him to make this decision.
My thoughts Exactly Roger. No way would Bo Duke abuse any woman as Uncle Jessie would tan his hide. He didn't raise the boys to be disrespectful to women in any way. At least that's my view of the Duke family
Sometimes, like the folks in Gatlinburg, you just barely have enough time to save yourself and your family. Several people there escaped with just the clothes on their backs.
It looks like Cooters Place survived the fire according to their facebook https://www.facebook.com/CootersPlace/ but a lot of the rest of the area looks devastating. My family down south of there luckily the fire didn't get near them. Keep the people there in your thoughts and if you can spare it send some money down that way to help the people rebuild their lives.
