  1. Sometimes it doesn't pay to get out of bed. Toil away at thankless jobs to scrape up enough money to live on. Pay your bills on time like a responsible adult. And just when you think luck is turning your way the rug gets pulled right out from under you.

If they had another restart Ricky probably would have won it. He did good in the last stage working his way into the top 10 before the final caution. Daniel Suarez was the real surprise of the race, though from what Jeff and Clint were saying it sounds like Daniel's crew chief has dirt experience and set the car up right for the track.
  3. Roger you see this and immediately your mind goes to... your reunions must be fun. Food

Well that certainly was an interesting race. Though I think they should have just held it at an actual dirt track. There's plenty of 1/2 mile dirt tracks in the USA and I'm sure there's a few that could handle a Cup race. Doesn't really matter though since the Bristol 'dirt' race has already been announced for next season. Everyone expected the dirt ringers to be the cream of the crop and dominate the race but that didn't happen. Way out of left field Martin Truex jr, Joey Logano and Daniel Suarez led most of the laps. Joey Logano went on to win it leading the final 61 laps. This is the first time since 2014 that there have been 7 different winners in 7 races. Top 10 1. Joey Logano 2. Ricky Stenhouse jr 3. Denny Hamlin 4. Daniel Suarez 5. Ryan Newman 6. William Byron 7. Tyler Reddick 8. Ryan Blaney 9. Erik Jones 10. Chase Elliott
  5. I wouldn't go that far. Plenty of non-european civilizations did fine before the europeans travelled the world conquering.

It sure is interesting to see the cup cars on dirt.
  7. Got our Covid vaccine shots Friday. We were given the Moderna one. Just a sore arm is the only side effect we had though I was a bit drowsy afterwards and Friday night was the best night's sleep I've had in a few weeks. Cat kept bugging me Saturday morning to get up and feed her lol, she finally got me up about 7am. I'm usually up at 5am every morning. I wonder how many other comics are going to apologize for past jokes. I read over the weekend Jay Leno apologized for making jokes about the way asians drive. Sarah Silverman apologized for something or other a few weeks ago. When will they make rappers apologize for using the N word or killing people or raping women in their "music". There's also a children's book being recalled for 'passive' racism, whatever that is, because supposedly it's about Cavemen Martial Artists. So we're coming close to a point in society where everything is offensive to someone but it seems like its ok if it's offensive to straight caucasian religious people./end rant

  11. Thought I was done being a mediator... but I guess not....now where did I set that jar of moonshine down...
  12. More than likely the contract with the web host wasn't renewed by the owners or whoever was left in control of those sites.
  13. Fresh (I love the smell just after a small rain shower)
  14. James Best aka Roscoe P Coltrane. That's another hilarious one I try not to miss. Don Knott's was one of the funniest comedic actors in his era.
  15. Yes it is Roger. I had to play along when my grandma called me thinking I was my uncle one time, one of the saddest conversations I ever had. She had her good days and bad days. I feel for my aunt who decided to take care of her instead of putting her in a nursing home. Eventually she had to go to one though.
  16. So one if the houses we checked out a few weeks ago came back on the market over the weekend so we called our realtor and he checked out why. Turns out it needs major foundation repair that the owners did not disclose when they put it on the market originally. We figured something was wrong with it when we toured it because when we walked into the kitchen from the living room the floor tilted enough to throw your balance off. The inspector for whoever put an offer in also noted the living room foundation needed repaired as well as the kitchen. The owners still think they can get close to their original asking price if they knock off $5k for foundation repair for the new owners. I think it's going to cost a bit more than $5k since at least half the house has a foundation issue. Sunday morning we managed to finally schedule our first vaccine doses for this week. Looking forward to it.
  17. Mine too. While waiting in line at the bank Saturday morning this topic came up though the people behind us were talking about the Looney Tunes and other cartoons that they grew up on and The Talk's Sharon Osbourne. One guy joked ''I'm not on Facebook so nobody can cancel me" and we all laughed at that .

Was an exciting weekend in Atlanta. Fists were flying after the Xfinity race Saturday between Daniel Hemric and Noah Gragson. Nascar wisely is not going to penalize either driver. Kyle Larson dominated Sunday's cup race winning both Stages 1 & 2 having about a 10 second lead over 2nd place. However the #5 team couldn't keep up with the changes to the track and Kyle couldn't drive away from the field like he did in the stages. Ryan Blaney eventually caught up to him when his teammate Joey Logano kept Kyle from lapping him. Ryan easily passed Kyle Larson and then Joey moved aside and let Ryan and Kyle pass. Top 10 1. Ryan Blaney 2. Kyle Larson 3. Alex Bowman 4. Denny Hamlin 5. Kyle Busch 6. Austin Dillon 7. Chris Buescher 8. William Byron 9. Martin Truex jr 10. Kevin Harvick Interesting tidbit this is the first time there have been 6 different winners at the first 6 races of the season since 2014.
