If you want to see some of the behind the scenes stuff at the SRX races Hailie Deegans YouTube channel has a few videos https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC61Cf_xnxEHa-8Dvas3pQHg Paul Tracy doesn't come off too well in the Slinger Speedway one, talk about classless. He's lucky none of the other racers were there to hear what he called Hailie, Tony probably would knocked him on his butt.

Tempers got heated again at Slinger speedway. Paul Tracy used his bumper up. Marco Andretti won both Heat races and the main Feature Race. Local star Luke Fenhaus came close to winning the Main Feature Race but a late caution wreck that took out a few cars allowed Marco Andretti to get the jump on Luke on the final restart. Main Feature Race Results 1 Marco Andretti 2 Luke Fenhaus 3 Tony Stewart 4 Hallie Deegan 5 Bobby Labonte 6 Ernie Francis Jr 7 Willy T Ribbs 8 Greg Biffle 9 Bill Elliot 10 Helio Castroneves 11 Michael Waltrip 12 Paul Tracy The finale this Saturday will be at historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

In the final Atlanta race at the track's current configuration Kurt Busch with help from his teammate Ross Chastain edged out his younger brother Kyle Busch for the win. In typical Kryle fashion in his post race interview he whined about losing instead of congratulating his brother. They must have had one helluva contentious relationship growing up. Early on it looked like it was going to be a JGR stomping with all four JGR Toyota's looking strongest in the field. Probably would have been Martin Truex jr's day if not for failing pre race inspection twice and being forced to start last. He arguably passed the most cars having to drive through the field a few times due to bad pit stops. Top 10 1 Kurt Busch 2 Kyle Busch 3 Martin Truex jr 4 Alex Bowman 5 Ryan Blaney 6 Tyler Reddick 7 Chase Elliot 8 Christopher Bell 9 Matt Dibenedetto 10 Brad Keselowski Kyle Busch won his 5th and final Xfinity race at Atlanta this season. Hopefully he'll stick to his word and retire from the series since he's won over 100 Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity races as he promised. He's the reason Nascar limits how many starts Cup series driver's can make in the lower tier series. Instead of limiting cup series driver's they should make them run in struggling team's car's to give them some help against the juggernaut teams like JGR or Jr motorsports. The next time you see Atlanta motor speedway on tv it will look different. Instead of just repaving the track they are going to redo the banking as well https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/07/06/atlanta-motor-speedway-repave-reprofiling-2022-nascar-cup-series/.

Apparently Gypsy is another word on the banned words list, I read a news story yesterday about the Gypsy moth is going to be renamed because the name is now considered super-offensive . I think there are better things to worry about at the moment than the renaming of a moth. My Fitbit said I walked over 15miles while mowing Friday and Saturday. That's about the distance of a walking/hiking/biking trail that connects two nearby parks. That's kind of neat to know in case I ever want to walk that trail.

R. I. P. William Smith (Jason Steele)
Spike replied to Skipper Duke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard News
I remember him in a lot of shows from the 80's; Chips, Knight Rider, Air Wolf, Simon & Simon, Buck Rogers etc... He was also in Conan the Barbarian, played Arnold's Conan's father. He was one of the better 'bad guy' actors.- 6 replies

Yeah frankly I'm tired of walking on eggshells when dealing with him. My wife called him to ask if she can drop her car off so he can look at it when he got a chance but she didn't even get one word out before he hung up on her after yelling he "doesn't have time to deal with the car." He used to be a nicer guy but lately 9x out 10 you call him you get Grumpy.

Chase Elliot will be in the Inaugural season finale race at Nashville Will be interesting to see how him and Bill race each other.

Guess we're looking for a new mechanic. Yesterday was the last straw. Dude's a great mechanic but we've had enough of the attitude he's had the past few years. He's been way more Hyde than Jekyll lately. Gonna try my uncle's mechanic and see how that goes next week.

My chrome browser said that too till I cleared the history and cache, I assume it had something to do with the cookies.

SRX Series was back on asphalt this week at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana. SRX had a little fun with Paul Tracy by having him show up in the back of a police car for security . Scott Speed dominated the 1st heat race leading all the laps and winning. Helio Castroneves won the 2nd heat race after passing Paul Tracy on the 5th lap. Ernie Francis Jr won the Main Feature Race leading all but 11 or 21 laps, typo on SRX website not sure which number is correct. Main Feature Race Results 1 Ernie Francis Jr 2 Bobby Labonte 3 Scott Speed 4 Marco Andretti 5 Bobby Santos 6 Michael Waltrip 7 Tony Stewart 8 Paul Tracy 9 Helio Castroneves 10 Tony Kanaan 11 Willy T Ribbs 12 Bill Elliot

Nascar Cup series returned to Road America for the first time since 1956. Chase Elliot won holding off hard charging Gibbs teammates, giving Hendrick Motorsports it's 10th win of the season. I still think they should have kept Daytona on the July 4th weekend. Top 10 1 Chase Elliot 2 Christopher Bell 3 Kyle Busch 4 Kurt Busch 5 Denny Hamlin 6 Chase Briscoe 7 Ross Chastain 8 Tyler Reddick 9 Martin Truex jr 10 Matt Dibenedetto Kurt Busch already had talks with Trackhouse Racing so he's rumored to be the top candidate to drive the 2nd car when they take over Ganassi's Nascar teams at the end of the season.

Finally got some sleep last night, only a few fireworks were shot off nearby. At least it was nothing like this... this happened on the other side of town. And people wonder why I say don't move to Toledo. To top it off Ohio legislators just legalized fireworks though the governor has yet to sign the bill. Had a busy weekend myself. Was planning on relaxing and watching all the races on NBC but ended up only watching the last half of the Cup race Sunday afternoon. Laid a second coat of paint on a lady's patio Saturday after the local home depot worker snookered her and said she needed a 2nd coat even though on the can it says one coat paint. She really only needed a small can of touch up paint to touch up a few little spots where the wind blew a few leaves on after I laid down the first coat a few weeks ago. Sunday I "helped" (did all the work) my dad with patching the concrete wall by the steps leading to the basement outside door. Not sure which Home store he went to but a goofball worker strikes again, sold him a 50lbs bag of fence post concrete. I didn't feel like going back to the store and getting the correct stuff so I made do, if it holds up good if not I don't care. I only ended up using a few inches of the bag to patch all the areas so a 10lbs or smaller bag would have worked. Wife was real happy about that because I ruined her Sunday plans to hang out with some of her family. I'm getting real sick of every time my uncle mentions this or that needs to be taken care of at my dad's house then my dad whining/harassing me till I do it instead of him doing it himself which he is entirely capable of doing.

Gonna have to pick your chin up off the floor after reading this...Chip Ganassi is leaving Nascar and sold team charters to Trackhouse Racing https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/06/30/trackhouse-purchases-chip-ganassi-racing-nascar-operation/ Trackhouse will run two cars next year one driven by current driver Daniel Suarez and the 2nd driver tba. Ross Chastain will probably be the 2nd driver though.

Offendaphobic that's a good one. I nominate that for a new word in the Webster's Dictionary. CNN used to be a great news network way back in the day now it's become way too biased like Fox News.
-
This whole "woke" thing is getting more absurd by the day. On the local news yesterday they did a story on "weight bias". Some 400+/-lbs lady was on there saying fat jokes are offensive. Next thing you know gassy people are going to say fart jokes are offensive.

The SRX series was at Eldora this past Saturday night and the action was hot. Tempers flared and the cars got used up and most of them will need new body panels for the next race this Saturday night. If you missed it you can watch it here Tony Stewart won the first heat. Marco Andretti shocked everyone winning the 2nd heat. Tony Stewart won the main Feature after passing local racer Kody Swanson and Paul Tracy who led the most laps. Bill Elliott got a new car although they did find the gremlin in his other car from the previous two races but they wanted to give him a new one just in case any issues popped up. This race was the most watched too date with 1.38 million viewers tuning in. It almost matched Saturday's Pocono cup race on NBCSN and beat both Xfinity and Truck series races on NBCSN and FS1 respectively. Main Feature results 1 Tony Stewart 2 Kody Swanson 3 Helio Castroneves 4 Marco Andretti 5 Paul Tracy 6 Scott Speed 7 Tony Kanaan 8 Ernie Francis Jr 9 Willy T Ribbs 10 Michael Waltrip 11 Bobby Labonte 12 Bill Elliot
