The Best Quality DVD Release of the Series?
Spike replied to Philip_Duke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
I don't know which one is the best but I seen a new box set at Walmart this morning. Redesigned outer cardboard box with two more boxes containing the discs. Had Bo, Daisy and Luke on the front from original Season 3 DVD release photos. The General Lee was photoshopped behind them but barely visible. I guess if that's what it takes to keep the series for sale in stores so new generations can enjoy it then so be it. -
This Saturday night at 8pm est on CBS stations the Camping World SRX series makes it's debut race at Stafford. Also on certain CBS stations Saturday afternoon will be highlights of the World of Outlaws race at the Bristol Dirt, check your local listings. It will be interesting to see if the SRX series comes close in TV ratings to Nascar's races this season.

Happy belated birthday

At 53 seconds the one model looks like she has her legs to the side of the front seat back. That's a funny video.
-
This one had the 440ci V8. Even though it's considered a 2+2 there was barely any legroom for rear seat passengers.

That was definitely a strange F1 race.

After a year hiatus due to covid 19 the British invasion car show was back this year on Sunday. A couple of regulars didn't show up but some new cars did. For the first time in my life I seen a Jensen Interceptor mk III and I got to sit in it . The guy bought it at one of them dealership auctions before the pandemic struck. Said it was stored for the past 20+ years. Besides changing all the fluids, a tune up and new brakes the only thing he's modified is a new overdrive transmission to make it a better cruiser. There were a few SCCA race cars and a rare one of 600+/- marque, name escapes me at the moment. Only 3 motorcycles showed up this year, no Morgan's or Aston Martin's though. One guy put a turbo Saab motor in a MGB, another shoehorned a 350 Chevy V8 in one and added Corvette suspension.

PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance Starsky & Hutch game
Spike replied to Skipper Duke's topic in General Discussion
I rented the game several years ago and was not a fan of the gameplay. Was just a lousy game put out to make a quick buck during the retro tv show game franchise craze.- 11 replies

Kyle Larson put on another dominating performance at Sonoma winning both Stages and the race. This was also the 4th in a row 1-2 finish for Hendrick Motorsports which ties a record that has stood since the late 1950's. Like in the F1 race in Azberbaijan tires were an issue with some teams in Sonoma with some tires delaminating with just 15-20 laps on them. CGR had a good finish with both cars finishing in the top 10 for a second time this season. Top 10 1 Kyle Larson 2 Chase Elliot 3 Martin Truex jr 4 Joey Logano 5 Kyle Busch 6 Kurt Busch 7 Ross Chastain 8 Denny Hamlin 9 Alex Bowman 10 Ryan Blaney

We'll Cancel Culture struck one of the other suburbs. They used to have a day that celebrated former president William Henry Harrison who was also a local 1812 war hero. The chamber of commerce got "woke" this year and changed the rally day name to the hopefully non offensive word "Positive" because Harrison either owned slaves or supported it or something, I didn't catch the whole news story on the evening news. Apparently it wasn't as inoffensive as they thought as there is a bunch of pissed off people that are not happy about the name change and have been voicing their opinions on social media and the local news outlets.

Boot sale? Almost sounds like what we call here in the states a flea market or swap meet.

Checked out a new park over the weekend. It was nice besides the noise, It was next to the airport and turnpike. The 180th was out doing maneuvers, those F16's are really loud. Did see a turkey, oriole, rare Karner Blue butterfly and some neat wildflowers. Those rare minutes of absolute quiet besides the birds made it feel like we were way out in the boony's especially considering the parking lot only had two spaces so it must be a rarely visited park. We also went to the farmers market downtown. First time we've been there since our grandparents took us as kids. Omg was it packed, I'm assuming it was because everyone wants to get out of the house and do anything after last year. On the way home we drove by the zoo and the traffic was a nightmare. Even though the zoo's sign said the parking lot was full people were still lined up about a mile in both directions trying to get in. I can imagine the staff there had a long day Sunday. Anybody else do anything interesting this past weekend?

He should have a pretty good shot at Sonoma this weekend. Check the replays to watch the James Davison slide from contact from the 00, that Aussie can wheel a car. Too bad he's stuck in such a lousy car.

Hendrick Motorsports once again was the dominant team and won three in a row and now holds the most wins by a team. Kyle Larson dominated the race winning all 3 stages and the race. His Hendrick Motorsports teammates finished in the top 5 as well almost repeating the top 4 sweep from Dover if not for Kyle Busch. Richard Childress Racing had a good night with both cars finishing in the top 10. Top 10 1. Kyle Larson 2. Chase Elliot 3 Kyle Busch 4 William Byron 5 Alex Bowman 6 Austin Dillon 7 Denny Hamlin 8 Chris Buescher 9 Tyler Reddick 10 Kevin Harvick Rumor has it that Kurt Busch might be moving to 23xi Racing next year in the 2nd car team they hope to start. Will keep you updated.

Well on the 100th year anniversary of the house my grandparents owned was built this digital clock they had lit up 1889 one day in 1989. It never kept time right after that either. For my grandmother's last Christmas I was tasked with putting Christmas decorations and the tree up. After getting everything I needed out of the attic I shut the door. It didn't stay shut. I even jammed a chair under the door handle after it 3rd or 4th time it opened. Next thing I hear is the chair feet dragging across the floor. I walk back into the dining room where the attic door was and the chair was moved away from the door and the door was opened again. I went up there with a flashlight and checked to make sure no one was up there and of course there wasn't so I said out loud "stop opening the attic door" it didn't open anymore after that. My grandma told me story's about a kid ghost she thought was living there. I wonder if the new owners of that house have any interesting ghost story's.

The ending of The Village just made the film a waste of time in my opinion. It's because of that movie I'm wary of watching any other films by Shyamalan. The ones he did before that were great. I love ghost story movies myself. The Conjuring and Annabelle ones are great. I guess growing up in a haunted house made me a fan of the genre. I'll never forget the look on my then girlfriend's, now wife, face when the one rocking chair slid across the floor on it's own. Had to explain to her it was just the friendly child ghost just goofing off. Sorry to get off topic...

Lately I've been bingeing videos on the Project Farm channel on YouTube. It's nice to see some honest comparison tests on various products from a good old country boy. Did some zen gardening yesterday morning, that helped drop my stress level. Weather wise we might set two records this week. Forecasters are saying we might set a new high temp tomorrow and a new low temp Friday morning.

With the COTA race called because of rain Hendrick motorsports has now tied Petty Enterprises in 268 Cup series wins. Chase Elliott also gave Chevrolet it's 800th cup series win. Austin Cindric surprised everyone leading the first 5 laps on slicks and maintaining an 8+ second lead before pitting for rain tires. Stage two begun with a several accidents, the biggest when Cole Custer ran into the back of Martin Truex jr who was slow because of hitting Michael McDowell. All driver's walked away with no injury's. They red flagged the race for a while to clean the debris and blow off some of the puddles on the track and to allow teams to Rain X the windshields and back windows. They race restarted on lap 29 and stayed green till lap 54 when it was red flagged for heavy rain. This race ended William Byron's consecutive top 10 streak at 11 races. Top 10 1 Chase Elliot 2 Kyle Larson 3 Joey Logano 4 Ross Chastain 5 AJ Allmendinger 6 Chase Briscoe 7 Michael McDowell 8 Alex Bowman 9 Tyler Reddick 10 Kyle Busch Coca Cola 600 is next Sunday at 6pm eastern on Fox.

Well it looks like the Inaugural COTA race is going to be called early for rain even though they have rain tires. To be honest I hope this is just a one and done deal if officials are just going to park the cars because of rain. From now on just postpone the races to dry days.

I got the weekend off from mowing since we haven't had rain in over a week here so I'm looking forward to just relaxing and watching the COTA Nascar races. Also nurturing a plant back to life that I bought on clearance from a store today, I already soaked it in rain water which perked it up a bit. Y'all have a good weekend.
