  1. BCDR05..... I gotta ask. What's with the evil faces in your posts? LOL
  2. I have to confess I'm dissapointed with this blog's recognition of HNet. Of all the spirited discussion we've had, and the many wonderful spy reports from folks in Louisana who have worked as extras on the set and the many wonderful comments about HNet that have come from folks who have worked on this movie, be it part of the crew or as an extra, the only thing this blog can bother to note is a couple of fans expressions of discontent with the upcoming film and their calls to boycott the movie. Frankly, a couple of folks saying "boycott" does not make it a movement. Talk is cheap. I just hope folks realize that HNet itself is, in no official capacity, either endorsing, nor encouraging boycott of the movie. Members have been free to express their opinions on the film, both good and bad, and we have been invovled in many spirited discussions and debates on it. There is nothing wrong with this. It's what America is all about. Besides that, we're a passionate bunch when it comes to the Dukes. We've cheered and grumbled since this thing first started taking shape. We'll continue to cheer and grumble up to the day the film is released and then we'll continue to cheer and grumble for months after it's release. LOL Anyway, I left a comment on the blog's site, basically a repeat of most of what I said here. MaryAnne
  3. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! One o' my favorites from the Sheriff too that has me laughin' my posteior off everytime I see/hear it. Another one is from The Meeting and is part of my signature below. After the chase around the square and Rosco comes back to the courthouse, he hits the curb when he stops the car. I can't remember the exact phrasin' at the moment so bear with me.... Boss: "ARGH! Rosco, you did it again!!" Rosco: "I know. I suppose now they're gonna cancel my insurance?!" Then Boss said something about not being able to hit something or other and Rosco comes back with the "WELL I HIT IT DIDN'T I??" ROFL
  4. Howdy Balladeer! Welcome to HNet!
  5. This is a great story. Thank you for sharing it. Yet another example of the positive influence and effect the Dukes can have on someone....and be part of that which turns things around in their lives. Not bad for just a little ol' tv show...
  6. This is going to sound stupid but....do politicians count?? ROFL I've met various govenors, senators, waved to one President (Reagan), shook hands with another (Clinton) and figured I was destined to someday rule the world. BAHAHAHHAHAA!! Oh, ahem, scuze me, momentary relapse there....
  7. He'll be 79 in July. Watching him as Rosco, I had always pegged him to be younger than he was at the time. LOL. He was 52 when the Duke started....I had always thought he was mid to late 40's. Of course, it turned out Rosco himself was late 40's. Maybe that had something to do with it. LOL
  8. I have this song on LP. Great tune! And very Duke-like! Lessee if I can recall some it.... Ol' Rapid Roy that stock car boy. He's too much to believe Y'know he always got an extra pack o' cigarettes Rolled up in his t-shirt sleeve He gotta tattoo on his arm that say "Baby" He gotta 'nother one that just say "Hey." But every Sunday afternoon he is the dirt track demon in a '57 Chevrolet.
  9. Actually, we have a gallery section... http://www.hazzardnet.com/gallery/ I've been collecting a few screenshots with my laptop DVD player and will probably post some of them at some point. Y'all stick around. LOL
  10. General Fan 01... speaking as a country folk, that is a seriously nice looking car you have.
  11. Given I was born and raised in New England and still live here I rated the following... 71% Dixie. It was once said by some one from the south that the New England area really is the south....up north. Now either that's true, or I've just watched too much Dukes and Smokey and the Bandit and whatnot.
  12. I'd be willing to bet five bucks that it was supposed to be Dolly Parton, but like JESSI DUKE said, they probably didn't have the go ahead to use the name. LOL
  13. Once they got there, and got out of the car, they were no more than two feet away from it when the whole things just fell apart. Fenders fell off, the trunk pops open, the engine goes up in a puff of smoke, the works. Elwood pauses and takes his hat off to it. And then Jake grabs him and is like "C'mon!!!" ROFL
  14. Along with DOH I enjoy watching.... The Rockford Files Hogan's Heroes Starsky and Hutch The A-Team Maverick And half a bazillion other classic tv shows, too numerous to mention. LOL I've also been watching the Poriot mystery series on DVD that a co-worker loaned me. Great stuff!

Given a choice, I think there's some curves the boys would prefer not to straighten.
  16. ROFL! Yes, but remember what happened to the car once they made it to the Cook County Assessor's office. Reminded me of what's happened to Rosco and Enos' patrol cars sometimes.
  17. Yeah, but seein' the rice burner get blow torched by the Asian dudes on their motorcycles.....that was a nice scene. BAHAHAHAHA!!!
  18. Hey Seahawks! Welcome to HNet! Rosco's giggle always makes me laugh too. Khee!
  19. I'd like to see that Rosco episode of Enos too. I always thouht it was called Grits and Greens Strike Again. Hmmm.....now I'm curious! But the idea of puttin' the three episodes (Jesse, Daisy, Rosco) as bonus material for season five would be super! (WB?? You out there boys? You listenin' heah?!?!) Regarding Sledge Hammer.... I loved that show when it first came out. "Trust me, I know what I'm doing." "I hate to tell you this, Hammer. BUT YOU'RE RIGHT!!" My brother has the season one DVD. Great stuff!!
  20. Hi folks! For all y'all that don't make yer way to the front page of HNet (and why not?!?!), just wanted to let ya know that the Confederate General Lee Fan Club is hosting the following shindig/fundraiser for Special Olympics in Little Rock Arkansas: Here's the scoop from Scott Romine... We are having our second annual "Dukes Day" fundraiser for Special Olympics on May 6th and 7th in Little Rock, Arkansas. This year we have Ben "Cooter" Jones and Sonny "Enos" Shroyer booked along with stuntmen Al Wyatt Jr. and Corey Eubanks who jumped the General Lee. Friday night features a catered banquet with speeches by the stars complete with silent auction. Saturday features a host of Dukes of Hazzard fun - as we unveil "The Special Olympics General Lee" driven by the stuntdrivers on the show. For a donation to this wonderful cause - YOU will be able to ride along with the stuntmen on a "hot pursuit" complete with mini-jump! A Dukes event you will not want to miss out on!!!! Saturday includes a "Daisy Duke Contest" For more info check out website at www.confederategeneralleefanclub.com or email me at scott@rominevideo.com
  21. Welcome to HNet, Scott! Dukes Day sounds like a super event! (Lessee, if I lose a few more pounds, I might be able to pull off a Daisy Duke look-a-like thang). ROFL.

Ding ding ding! We have a winnah! LOL Uhh....prize? *looks around* How 'bout this ticket on the Chattanooga Choo Choo? =) To bring this back around to MASH, here's a neat lil' roundabout trivia thing for ya. The song "I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo" was featured in the 1942 movie "Orchestra Wives" with the Glenn Miller band. There also was a very young actor in it who plays the soda jerk who ends up losing the girl. Although he wasn't credited in the film, there's no mistaking who it is. Col. Potter himself, Harry Morgan. We now return you to yer regularly scheduled program. LOL
  23. There's a Scott Romine who heads up the Confederate General Lee club and is a retired cop. He's also a member of this board. Man, I can see this getting really confusing. ROFL. By the way, can somebody tell me where the heck that line is from??? "Badges?? We don't need no steeenkin' badges!" LOL MaryAnne ------------ I'm not a cop but I play one in fanfic. KHEE!!!
  24. MaryAnne replied to Julieduke's topic in TV
My dad watches this show so much that I'm familar with it without really ever having really sat down to watch it. LOL. I can remember seeing one scene where Radar was testing the radio or something and he says "Testing, testing. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I got a gal...." Trivia Question! What song is he singing?
