  1. I thought Brian had the brawn and MaryAnne had the looks... Well, I know for sure I've got the brains.
  2. We've already established in this thread that you're the brawn and I'm the brains. I think we should also establish that I'm Captain Fantastic and you're the Brown Dirt Cowboy. LOL.
  3. Since I've been dustin' off all my old Elton albums lately... Elton also had a song titled " ", but I'm sure most of you have never heard it before. It wasn't one of his big hits. And one of my fave background tunes for writing...
  4. I remember that song and yes, I think of you when I hear this song too. LOL. Good thing you got the roles right. Yes, I've got the brains. IQ tests show I'm gifted. Just a few points below genius, but that just keeps me humble. LOL. Here's the video to the song, if anyone's interested.
  5. Since when has a HazzardNet thread ever stayed on topic?
  6. Here's Brian challenging me to a pinball duel... Cuz he's a pinball wizard! There has to be a twist He's a pinball wizard Got such a supple wrist How do you think he does it? I don't know! What makes him so good?
  7. If we were going to compete in true Dukes style, we'd grab some bows and arrows and head for the outhouse. LOL.
  8. You know, I had a co-worker that was a pretty good pool hustler, played pool all the time. Had her own custom pool cue in a fancy case and everything. She said we could play slop because she figured I needed an advantage to beat her. When I sank a double bank shot, she "forgot" we were playing slop and said it didn't count because I hadn't called it. LOL. Too bad, it counted. She was miffed I beat her and demanded a rematch, which she lost. I was always pretty good at geometry. But, you know what I was much better at than pool? Pinball. I spent much of my youth in a local bowling alley playing pinball and bowling. Now... you sure you want a rematch?
  9. My Dukes of Hazzard fantasy is to be in a position of authority with an overinflated sense of self-importance... just like Rosco. Oh, wait. I'm livin' the dream too!
  10. You were always a nut. You just gradually became a Hazzard Nut.
  11. Thanks, MaryAnne. Yes, we try to keep politics off of HazzardNet because we like it to be a place for us to escape all the bad crap going on in the world.
  12. Try it now. It's unavailable to new users until they make a certain number of posts or until we determine they aren't spammers. I've upgraded you to "regular" user.
  13. Happy Birthday, Brian! Hope you had a good one. I would think this cake would be more your style...
  14. We have a dog named Sadie and there was Sadie Hogg's Day on the show. Does that count? LOL.
  15. Well, durn. I seem to have misplaced my big binder o' 8x10's. I did find a cropped version online, but I'm not sure it's high quality enough for your purposes. I know Jimmie has it available for purchase on his website.
  16. I have the photo used for the poster Jesse's standing next to. Lemme see if I can find it and I'll post it here.
  17. Since you're a Pirate fan, Rog, you probably know of Jason Kendall. I went to school with him (though didn't know him all that well), who started off his MLB career as a catcher for the Pirates. He was also briefly with the Cubs and the Brewers. I'm going to root for a Rangers vs. Brewers World Series. Neither team has a World Series win, so if they both get in, we'll have one less team that has never won.
  18. Congrats, i1976, on a well deserved Fan of the Month!
  19. If he keeps this up, he's gonna earn himself another Fan of the Month. LOL. As for Castaic Junction, I'm familiar with the area. My brother and I often went trout fishing at Castaic Lake, usually at the Afterbay (Lagoon), but occasionally at the lake itself up behind the dam (where you have to be more careful because there're rattlers there). When I saw that sign while watching the episode, I knew exactly where that was. On one particular trip, we had to make an emergency trip to the Ralph's just off The Old Rd for water. We'd both brought a liter with us, but it was so hot out that wasn't enough. Uncle Jesse would've loved it there, plenty of crawdads for his bisque! Which, incidentally, also make great bait for bass fishing. Unfortunately, I think the restaurant in that picture was long gone by the time we made regular trips there.
  20. I had some free time and decided to make a Boss Hogg "default" Facebook avatar. If I have time to make some more, I will. In the meantime, if any of you artistes want to take a crack at making your own of the other characters, feel free to post them here!
  21. You should feel more sorry for me, Garrett. Mariners... last place in the AL West. Ugh. LOL.
  22. Well, shucks... LOL. Thanks. We do our best to make HNet the kinda place we, as loyal Dukes fans, would like to hang out and well, turns out lots of other Dukes fans like to hang out here too. I'm gonna pick up a couple copies of HRM tomorrow... one to read, one to put in plastic to preserve. Oh, and maybe one to take apart to frame artistically and hang on the wall. Khee! It truly is an honor and a thrill for HazzardNet to be mentioned by Hot Rod magazine. When I told my dad, he was really excited. Mom's gonna pick up a copy for him. He's the one responsible for my love of cars and Dukes of Hazzard (we used to watch the original run together when I was little), so in some small way he's partly responsible for HazzardNet.
  23. Welcome back! I hope you're recovering well from surgery.
  24. Thanks for the link, Hoss! Made my day to see HazzardNet mentioned by Hot Rod magazine!
  25. Hey, welcome back, Cap'n! Long time no see. That's a tough one, I love the General AND the Bandit. Bein' a Trans Am owner makes it even tougher. But I'll have to go with the General Lee.
