  1. It is very likely this is Bob Hope Airport (aka Burbank Airport), as it's not far from the Warner Bros. studio.
  2. Was it supposed to make sense? Well, if I'da known it was supposed to make sense, I woulda done it all differently! LOL.
  3. Cool idea, ldhenson. I don't know what's cooler... Hoss' artwork on the wall or seeing HNet on your computer at the bottom of the screen. LOL!
  4. I've seen several satellites and it's always as thrilling as the first time. It's like a tiny shooting star, only the brightness is constant and it keeps going and going. LOL. I'm hoping I can get out to see the Perseid meteor shower this August. Haven't been able to do that in many years, but it's always enjoyable when I do. What software do you use for your artwork?
  5. That depends on your definition of "bad link". There's no information on that page.
  6. Howdy! And welcome to HazzardNet. I work with a lot of folks from "down under".
  7. Welcome! Wow... $5k is a pretty good deal for a complete Charger in decent shape.
  8. Ah. You're right, that is a larger structure. I checked Lake Sherwood, but didn't zoom in close enough aparently. Well, at least I found the covered bridge. LOL.
  9. I did some explorin' and I believe I might have found it on the Golden Oak Ranch. Go to Google Maps and enter "Golden Oak Ranch, Placerita Canyon Road, Newhall, CA". To the northeast of the pin and label for Golden Oak Ranch, you can find the covered bridge. I took a screenshot of Google Maps and highlighted/labeled the structures of interest. Here's a link to the Golden Oak Ranch website.
  10. Late summer of 1981, sitting at the kitchen table of our 28 foot vacation trailer, playing gin rummy with my big sister, sippin' on an Orange Crush, and listenin' to Juice Newton beltin' out on the radio..."Midnight and I'm a-waitin' on the 12:05, hopin' it'll take me just a little farther down the line..." (Anybody else got some nostalgic memories to share?)
  11. I saw it a long time ago. What I remember the most is the scenes that show the corridor. If you look closely, it's really a short corridor but they used perspective, matte painting, and short folks to make it look longer. LOL. And, of course, I remember Jimmie's role. I have some still photos from this movie somewhere.
  12. I have three words for you. A. May. Zing!
  13. (Art might as well imitate life... I'm home sick today. Blecch.) *plops down on the edge of the cot* *puts hand on forehead* I ain't feelin' so good. *swings legs onto cot and curls up, trying to stay warm in the dank cell*
  14. That's just so hard to fathom. I keep praying for some miracles to come out of this every day though.
  15. I've been through some sizable quakes, including the 6.7 Northridge (that one threw me out of bed), plenty of 5-6+ quakes, and even a 7.1. I can't even imagine the scale of a 8.9. I've been praying for everyone affected by this tragedy.
  16. One of my co-workers has in-laws in Japan. I think they're ok, but I don't think he had heard from everyone yet.
  17. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. If you would like to help, donate to the Red Cross via their website or text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 (the donation will appear on your cellphone bill). Also, find out if your employer has a matching contributions program.
  18. Welcome to HazzardNet and thank you for your service!
  19. You know, I do have surveillance cameras in this place. *points to the corner ceiling* With the kind of riff raff we get around here, we need 'em. And you just admitted on camera that you're going to attempt forgery. The feed is recorded in an undisclosed location. And don't bother takin' 'em down cuz my security company will get mighty suspicious if the feed "disappears". Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they've already alerted the authorities. Now, you wanna let me outta here or do you want to face a forgery rap, as well as kidnappin'?
  20. And just HOW are you going to get it notarized when any notary public can clearly see that you ain't me?
  21. As if you were the only one who could let me out... Ha! I've got a feelin' that I can wait it out longer'n you can, seein' as I'm the one that signs yer paychecks.
