  1. Hi atj1995! I just wanted to give you a warm welcome to HazzardNet! It's always so interesting to hear there's a new Duke fan that joined us. I sure hope that you find a lot of fun things to do on here. Again, welcome, and feel free to make yourself at home here! Laura Duke
  2. Wow, Roger! I thought that I knew quite a lot about the Dukes of Hazzard, but now seeing your questions, I got most of them wrong. Hats off to you, this looks fun! So, if you don't mind I'm going to make a guess-and I really have no clue if I'll be right! I'm going to say: A) 1726 The reason for that is because I remember Uncle Jesse saying, "Making whiskey was a family tradition LONG BEFORE the was a U.S. of A. government to tell us we couldn't." I know the Constitution was signed in 1776, now if I'm not mistaken, that made us the U.S.A. (Boy, I sure hope that I got my facts straight otherwise I'll be plain embarrassed. So, that's why I picked A! Again, great trivia questions, Roger! Laura Duke
  3. Hello Roger, I FINALLY was able to watch the show. There really weren't a lot of road and landmarks mentioned, but here were the ones that I heard: * They have a cemetary called "Veteran's Cemetary" (On this one, they mention a man who died-did you want his name?) * Miller's Creek Road (There's a right fork in the road that when you turn on it, it's a dead end. If you don't stop you end up in a pond(or creek). I'm guessing that since it's called "Miller's Creek Road", the creek is called Miller's Creek, although they didn't mention the specific name of the creek) * Highway 7 (Sorry, but there's no other info than that. I couldn't find directions, road changes, etc. Hopefully you can find a way to weave Highway 7 onto your map) Well, those were the ones that I caught. Also, special thanks to General Grant who helped me out a lot on this one. I couldn't have done it without the General. Also, I'd like an update please-how's the map coming? Oh, I saw the show "Southern Comfurts" today. I laughed when I noticed his feet when he fainted. You were right, it was funny! Plus, on "R.I.P. Henry Flatt" I heard the coffin joke. I started laughing! I loved it. Well, that's about it. Laura Duke
  4. Hey, everyone! I was reading these, and just laughing. They are great! Ya'll are so into character! I have a question for Uncle Jesse: How did you get to become a lawyer? Keep this up, it's wonderful everyone! Laura Duke But, there isn't a Rosco, Boss, Cooter, Cletus, and Lulu.
  5. Hi 798lowe! Welcome to HazzardNet! I'm so happy that you could join us. I sure hope that you have a great, and long stay here. There sure is plenty to do and talk about here. I look forward to seeing you around. Laura Duke
  6. Yes, Julieduke's right, you could always buy it, then you can watch it whenever you want! Personally, I think it's worth the buy. Another option, borrow it from the library. That way, you don't have to pay anything, well, unless you get a fine. Or, wait again until next year, and hope that you don't miss it again! Laura Duke P.S. Julieduke, did you ever find out through a private email who sang the song, "Three is my lucky number?"
  7. Hello again, enosgal, I tend to agree with you, don't you wish everyone got along like they do in Hazzard? Well, except for the spats between Boss Hogg and the Dukes. So, I was reading that you love Enos' character. I tend to agree, it's a great show with him, I just can't imagine it without him! What are some of your hobbies? Do you have any Duke hobbies? Well, I'm sure that I'll chat with you again soon! Laura Duke
  8. Hey, ya'll! Well, I'll admit my faults. When it comes to driving on the road (with a car of course), I'm a cautious little grannie. But, if I'm using my four-wheeler out in the field, in the middle of no where, I tend to accelerate. So, yes, the Dukes affect my driving in a field. Plus, my four wheeler has an orange color to it, so I like to pretend I'm driving the General, I even try to imitate the Dixie horn on the General! But, I guess driving about 20-25 miles on a four wheeler isn't that fast, but I sure do have a good time, and I think it's fast-for me at least! I do agree that ya'll should be cautious driving on a road with a car, that's a whole different story. Does everyone see why I call RogerDuke Uncle Jesse? He always keeps everyone in line just like Uncle Jesse. I was SO, SO sorry to hear about your cousins, Roger and LoriDavenport-I was so upset to hear that. I felt like I just lost a very close member, too. Knowing how great you too are, they must have been two wonderful, kind people. I hope that, even though it's been a while, I hope that both of you are handling this tragic loss alright. Hang in there! And don't be afraid to lean on others you love. Laura Duke
  9. Hey General slot car! Those are some pretty cool looking cars. What an awesome hobby! I think that is so cool that you made all the houses and Flash. Did that take a lot of work? How about the slot cars, are they expensive. Actually, I'm not too sure what a slot car is. Maybe you could explain it to me? Thanks, and again, what a cool hobby that you are working on! The cars looked awesome. Right now, I'm working on putting a General Lee model together. It's really fun, I enjoy it a lot. Talk to you soon! Laura Duke
  10. Sorry, Julieduke, I don't know who sang "Three is my Lucky Number" But, it sure is catchy, isn't it? If anyone knows, I'd be kind of interested, too. I hope someone out there knows the answer. Laura Duke
  11. Hello Enosgal! Just wanted to wish you a HUGE welcome! It looks like you have already met quite a few people already. I hope that you meet many more great people to come! It's so nice for you to join us. And on those cold nights, sit down, drink some coffee (or hot chocolate ) and just chat with us Hazzard folk. I look forward to seeing you around this place! Welcome to Hazzard County! Laura Duke
  12. Hey Everyone! Wow! I checked this yesterday morning, and a lot has happened in 24 hours. First off, it seems that my letter possibly offended and upset some people? It seems that after I wrote my letter, everyone got really upset. If that is the case, I really am sorry. That was never my intention. If you could, please re-read my letter and tell me if there is something that upset any of you. I would be willing to talk it out with any of you. Also, I feel that we are straying off the subject a little. It was about a subject matter, and it almost seems that there is a little bit of some personal insults flying at one another? "Dukes don't fight Dukes," is what Jesse Duke would say on the Dukes of Hazzard if Bo and Luke fought each other. I think the same should hold true here. I think that all of us respect and care for one another, and I don't think that ANY of us want to fight. It's great that we all stand up for what we think is fair and right, that takes courage! So, I respect and admire each and every one of you for that! It's NEVER easy to do that. But, I feel that things are getting to tense. After re-reading, it also seems that between a couple of parties there could be some connections that are crossed? Do you think that it could be possible for all of us to skip this particular thread for a few days and maybe come back a little more refreshed? I think if we did that, it may change the perspecive and maybe come back with a different point of view? For me, sometimes just thinking about things, makes me see things differently. Or, is it possible to set up a chat time for this discussion. I just really feel that there's a bit of a problem, and if we would talk it out, it might work a little better. A live chat might be better than writing back-and-forth about it. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Forget my idea? Like it? Please let me know. I would like everyone to respond to my suggestion. I just feel that the way things are going now, it's heading for disaster really quickly. It seems like everyone on the HazzardNet feels they have to pick a side and fight one another. I kind of feel things are getting nasty. Or, maybe I'm possibly over-reacting? Let me know what all of you think. If we don't get this resolved soon, I'm going to have to resort to something that NOBODY wants, I'm going to have to start telling jokes. And, people say that I tell the stupidest jokes in the world! You wouldn't want that, would you? Also, extremely changing the subject here, I hope that all of you had a nice Christmas. Have a wonderful New Year. And you all have one awesome weekend, okay! Laura Duke
  13. DixieRose_00 I'm SO, SO sorry to hear that your horse passed away so recently. Were you really close to your horse? I have a horse of my own, and I can't imagine how life would be without him. I hope that you will find comfort and strength to carry on without your horse. I hope that when you feel ready, you will be able to find another horse that will hopefully help to fill the gap of your recently departed horse. If you ever need to talk, and share some happy moments with your horse, I would love to hear some stories. Laura Duke
  14. Hey Morgan! Maybe I should call you MacGyver Jr.? I didn't know that there were others that liked that show. I enjoy it, too. Have you ever tried any of the "experiments" that he has done when he's trying to get out of a bad situation? I haven't, but I always thought it would be fun to try. Some of the shows that I love to watch at Christmas time are: "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek" "The Great Santa Clause Chase" (from the Dukes of Hazzard) Sorry, I can't think! I'm drawing a blank, but I know that there's more! RogerDuke, a while ago you posted that you had some trivia from "The Great Santa Clause Chase" I looked, and I couldn't find that thread. I would LOVE to see it, but I need direction on where to find it. Well, enjoy the rest of the weekend! Laura Duke
  15. First of all, I would like to thank everyone for how they have handled this. I know that from all sides, this is a very difficult situation, and one that everyone feels very strongly about. I hope that no one has upset feelings, and all will work out happily for everyone in the end. I know that no one really wants to hear from me, and I apologize. Because, once again, I'm putting down how I feel. Please bear with me, because a lot has happened, and I might jump around a bit. Plus, the great thing about posts is you can always skip how I feel if I get a bit long-winded! Also, may I clear something up? I really do try to not come off as "Miss Perfect." I am aware that there are people in this life that will not agree with me, and I have never had a problem with that, as long as it is a healthy debate. And, I never expect anyone to bow down to my wishes. If I EVER came off as that, my humblest apologies. I am not the best at words and expressing myself through typing. Although I may try to not come off as a hot-head, sometimes I type that way, which I certainly don't want to do. Also, I know that all of you are really great at letting others weigh-in on how they feel, so I can feel safe in posting how I feel and that I'll be treated with respect. I also do agree that the type of clothing that Daisy has is not always the greatest. Even though I'm a girl, the clothes she has on, you can't help but notice, it's ridiculous sometimes! But, I was just a little taken-aback when it was mentioned. Sorry, I can't think of a nicer way to say that. Being honest here, yes I have noticed Bo and Luke shirtless. Like it was mentioned, how could you not notice? But, it's not a huge deal. There shirts off, and I just continue watching the show. Personally, I don't find it exciting to zoom in on his butt. Or, I don't try to look and see if his pants are lower than usual. Sorry, that sounds really rude. And, I'm not trying to pin down any one person, but I'm trying to explain myself so you don't think I'm crazier than you think already! Also, I tend to agree, Daisy is beautiful! Heck, I wish I looked as great as she does. And, with the type of clothing she wears, how can you not help but notice. But, what I'm trying to say is that I was taken a-back when it was detailed that much on this site. Also, you are 100 percent right when you say that the first show was not the Walton's. But, I really am disapointed in the first show because of that. They have awesome story lines, but I would be embarrassed to show a first-time watcher those shows because that's not how I view the Dukes. I am so proud, especially of seasons 3-7. To me, that is what the show is all about, good family values. Is there some type of way that we could do this so everyone will be happy and have no hurt feelings. It is clearly obvious that TXZ045 wants this not to be deleted. I know that he doesn't want it moved either. At first, I wanted it deleted. But, seeing as how everyone should be allowed to have there views, I definately thought about it more. How would I feel if I felt some way, and just because others disagreed with it, if they demanded it be deleted? Plus, the moderators thought that it was fine. Personally, I feel a little offended, but I also think that TXZ045 should say things that he wants to say. So, my answer changes to he should be able to keep it. But, I feel that maybe it could be moved to the Hazzard Swamp? Does that seem fair to you, TXZ045 and everyone else? I want to be fair, adn make everyone okay with it, but in the end, it's really up to the Moderators. So, we definately have a problem. If you are open, TXZ045 to other suggestions that we could compromise on, please let me know. I am REALLY trying to be fair and honest and trying to sit in your shoes. Well, I apologize for the length, I tend to babble! I do hope that I make some sense, and don't want to make things worse. Let me know what all of you think. I would like to get this figured out, and move along from here. There are so many other great things to do than get mad at fellow Dukes! Laura Duke
  16. Garrett Duke, I like how you put all of that. How come you can put how you feel in a sentence or two, and it takes me forever to write just about the same thing that you put in a paragraph?!? But, thanks for your input! I am definately open to how everyone else feels about this, even though this is just a hypothetical. Keep in 'tween the ditches, ya'll! Laura Duke
  17. Hello JonnyDuke! I think that I've met another cousin, I'm Laura Duke! It's so nice that you could join us! This is the greatest place that you could find to meet some of the nicest Hazzard folk around. So, sit back, relax, laugh, and enjoy. There are a lot of great people to meet, and so much to talk about! I hope that you can stick around and find some friends on here that can talk Dukes of Hazzard. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the posts and telling all of us some really cool Duke facts! Also, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas. And have a great New Years! Laura Duke
  18. deathangel_tori, I'm not 100 percent sure, and I'm sure that there will be people to correct me, but I'm thinking that there is 10 notes. Now, if I'm wrong, someone please tell me. But, when I go through the notes in my head, that's the number I get. I hope that helps. Laura Duke
  19. That would definately make sense, North_of_Border1! Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that it was weird that John Schneider would be laughing and taping it as Lulu. So, the way you explained it puts an end to my curiosity. Plus, they probably chose him because John and Tom were the ones that went there everyday, and between the two, John had the hire voice. Thanks! Laura Duke
  20. You've just said everything that I wanted to say! I also would like to wish you a Merry Christmas. It has been such a honor to meet all of you over these past few months. All of you bring such excitement and energy! I have felt so close to you guys and girls, that, like Roger said, you are part of my family. Thanks for bringing such joy to my life. Have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year! Laura Duke P.S. Roger, I'll go and check out the Trivia, knowing you, I'll probably be racking my brain trying to figure out the correct answer. That show is such a great show that really brings out the Duke spirit.
  21. I agree, that is one of my all-time favorite movies! Yeah, how come John and Tom don't talk about it? Maybe it wasn't very popular? Was it made by John's production company-I think that his production company did go out of buisness by now, I guess that not too many people bought from his company-I sure would have bought from him! But, I think that if you haven't seen the movie, it's definately worth the trip to the Library to check it out! Merry Christmas Laura Duke
  22. Whoa! Take it easy there, Capt_Redneck, I can feel your blood pressure rising from here! There has been a lot of discussion on this since I left. There is so much back-and-forth, I'm kind of having a hard time about what all of this is about! But, I've been known to be confused often! So forgive me if I'm talking about something that you weren't even talking about-get it? Okay, another opinion to add. First of all, I am really in no way happy about Coy and Vance coming onto the show. Now, Byron and Christopher are probably wonderful people, but I don't feel a connections when they portray Coy and Vance. So, to be honest, I wouldn't even bother to stand in line at Dukesfest to meet them. Poor Duke behavior, I know. But, to me, it was like in the show, "Duke of Duke" when a prison inmate was imitating Gaylord Duke. I feel like Coy and Vance are imitations of Bo and Luke. But, if Coy and Vance were to come to Dukesfest, it would make others happy, and they never were bad for the show-like they didn't swear or anything, so for that reason, I have no problem. This is where I get confused at myself: letting the 2005 cast members in. Part of me says that they should be more than welcomed. They probably saw the series as a kid, and how many of us would leap at the chance to play our favorite character on the Dukes of Hazzard? But, what kind of role models are we bringing to Dukesfest? If we allow them to come, it almost seems like a slap in the face. We want Dukes to be remembered as the "good ol' boys." Uncle Jesse NEVER allowed swearing, he got very upset whenever Bo, Luke, or Daisy swore. And, to hear Wille Nelson AS Jesse Duke swear, that was a HUGE shock! Plus, I feel that if the cast can't come, I wouldn't want the crew to come. They are the ones that made up the script. So, the cast shouldn't be the only ones on the burner, it's the crew, too. They are also the ones that made it possible. Obviously the crew has no clue what the Dukes is about. Also, I feel that there is no shame when there were people who said that they wouldn't go to Dukesfest. Some of the best things got changed in the world because people boycotted things, that is the best way to get people to listen. There's a lot of people in the world (especially producers) who listen to an empty paycheck like Boss Hogg. So, I don't look down on people who wouldn't go to Dukesfest. Well, enough said, I think that you get the idea. All of you have a wonderful Christmas! Laura Duke
  23. Well, I'm sure that Peggy Rea does the laugh most of the time, I think that was just a one time deal. I can't imagine John Schneider doing her laughs every single time, that would just be too weird! Laura Duke
  24. What a neat idea, Roger! Count me in for watching the Dukes of Hazzard. I don't know if I can come and chat, though. I might have other plans after the show. But, if I can't make it, I would like to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas. LoriDavenport-I love that you are thinking Christmas and having "Santa Bo" on as your avatar, great! And, also, if I'm not here, please have someone watch out for Roger, otherwise he'll be downing WAY to much Eggnog, and then he gets crazier from there! Frosted mugs, General Grant. In the words of Luke Duke, "Are you crazy!" You and your frosted mugs, you've been watching to much Bo Duke, he always orders beer like that! Alright, I'll talk to ya'll soon! And, have a great Friday Christmas Party-hope I can make it! Laura Duke
  25. Yes, Roger, I think that General Grant is saying that ALL of the 7 season teasers are by Waylon Jennings. But, please don't get upset because you don't understand General Grant, that's often how it is. I never understand General Grant anytime! Well, General Grant, I really think that you are in a barrel. No escaping this time! Laura Duke
