  1. I have had some defective DVD's, but I usually found out they were defective in time and could return them and get a better DVD. Sometimes I have problems with a DVD and I have found it helpful to get a soft cloth. Take the DVD out and kind of clean off the DVD player were the DVD sits in the player. Then, lightly clean the DVD (the side that you are playing, you don't have to clean the top if there is a picture on it). That has always worked for me. If you ever try it, let me know if that works or doesn't work for you. Laura Duke
  2. That's really cool, deathangel_tori! You are obviously into it and more experienced than I am. Like I said, I would love to get more into it, but first I would rather finish putting together my General Lee car! Your crafts that you are working on sound neat, I bet that everyone who gets those as gifts just adores them! Laura Duke;)
  3. Thanks for answering my question, North_of_Border1! That is really weird that John Schneider would laugh and make it look like it came from Lulu! That's almost creepy! Now, I'm so curious about that that I will have to go back and listen for that! Laura Duke
  4. Thanks for letting us know, LoriDavenport! I always make it a Christmas tradition to put in the DVD I have of "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek." I just love that movie, it's one of my all-time favorites! Laura Duke
  5. Hello chubcityracing! I just wanted to welcome you to HazzardNet! It looks like you have met some new Hazzard fans. I'm just sorry that you met the crazy ones of this bunch! Oh, don't worry, you learn so many great stuff on this site from others, and I'm sure that you'll be able to tell us stuff that we never knew about. And, as for your dog that's named Cooter-that is awesome! I love that idea! Again, welcome! And, please stick around and join us for the ride! Yeeehaaaawwwww! Laura Duke
  6. You are right, General Grant! This is getting so confusing, I had to look back to see what my original question was! I'm really suprised that no one knows if it is Waylon's voice or not! I would have thought someone would know. Is there someway we could find out? Laura Duke
  7. Hey Everyone! Since all of you are Dukes of Hazzard whizzes, I thought that maybe you could help me out on this one. I was reading the book, "The Unofficial Companion to the Dukes of Hazzard" (If anyone has this book and would like to look it up, I'm looking at page 129 under Notes. Now, I'm referring to Season 2, the show is called "Repo Men". This is one of the first times that Lulu comes on, it's the show about Lulu wanting a Rolls-Royce, but Ace Parker (who works for Boss) sold the last one, and Boss needs to get it back for Lulu. So, they get Bo and Luke to repo in exchange for a motor that could win them the race. I thought that you would want to know what the show was about, even though my question isn't too involved in the plot of the show But, anyways, in the book it then goes on to say: Lulu's laugh in the scene was looped in post-production by John Schneider. What exactly does that mean? Are they trying to say that it is really John Schneider's voice that was put in for Lulu's laugh? Let me know your thoughts and comments, because I have no idea what is meant here, and I find this really interesting! Thanks! Laura Duke
  8. I also cross stitch. I think that I'm okay at it, but I definately have room for improvements! I've just made some small stuff, but would like to get into crafting even more! So, playforchrissy, what have been some stitching stuff that you have done so far? Any Dukes of Hazzard related crafts? I've been working on a General model car. It's been a slow process, but I just like to putz around! Laura Duke
  9. Oh, now you are making me SO curious! I'm about 6 shows away from "Southern Comfurts" so I can't wait to watch it to see Uncle Jesse faint! By the way, I think that I'm 5 shows away from "R.I.P. Henry Flatt" I like to watch them in order, so I don't miss anything. But, if you would like me to get that done for you as soon as possible, I wouldn't mind skipping ahead for you. You're choice. I'm okay with either one, skipping ahead or watching them in order. I just didn't want to hold you up from your map making. Laura Duke
  10. Well, General Grant and Julieduke, I'm kind of torn..... First of all, I think that it is SO exciting that they are going to have Knight Rider back on. I've watched that show, and it was really a fun show to watch, so I'm happy to hear that it's on. But, having a new series of Knight Rider means that it will have different people and cars, which takes out half the fun right there. Plus, Knight Rider was a pretty clean, family-friendly show. But, now it will be up to the "standards" of today, taking away the other half of the fun. I personally don't like listening to swearing and all the other garbage that they have on nowadays. So, it kind of seems to me that I have more reasons not to watch it than to watch it! Has David Hasselhoff said if he was excited about the new re-make of the show or not? It would be interesting to see how he felt about someone trying to fill his shoes, and KITT's! Laura Duke
  11. How was Saturday's chat? I hope that everyone had a great time! Laura Duke
  12. Hey Everyone! What's wrong, are there more twists and turns than there is on Old Mill Pond Road? "One Armed Bandits" had Waylon's voice on the teaser. On the teaser you see pictures of the show and then the General Lee flying and Waylon says, "Welcome...... to Hazzard County." But, as the series goes on, about half way into it the voice sounds different for the teaser. And, now I'm in Season 2, and the voice sounds different than Waylons! Here's an idea: If anyone plans to go to Dukesfest 2008, and get an autograph from John Schneider, could someone ask him if that was Waylon's voice? That would definately solve it! Laura Duke
  13. Great questions, General Grant! I was kind of wondering about all of those questions you had, too. If anyone could let us know, it would be SO much appreciated! And, like General Grant said, thanks moderators! This is a FABULOUS site, I just love it! Thanks for the hours you've put into it! Laura Duke
  14. Thanks, Tempest66! That was really interesting! Another episode she had A VERY SMALL role was on "MacGyver" When I saw that, I was so excited to see her! She looked great! What would the show have been like without Lulu, especially during the last couple of seasons of the Dukes of Hazzard-that's when Lulu and the Dukes got very close. And, a few times Lulu got Boss Hogg off of the Duke's backs, or else "I'll sleep in your bedroom" or he would have to give up his fridge in his bedroom! Wasn't she great! Laura Duke
  15. Hmmm..... Now you're making me think! I can remember Waylon saying he was a fair country doctor, but I don't remember Uncle Jesse fainting! Would you know off-hand if that's season 2 (Southern Comfurts)? Now, I think that I'll have to watch that to see what you are referring to! Laura Duke
  16. Hey RogerDuke! Oh, that's a great idea! I would do the same thing, combine! That makes sense to me. But, I'm still a little confused, I guess that I'm the "blonde" of the group! And don't let that get to your head, I see a lot of jokes coming my way! The way you write, you kind of remind me of a lawyer! Ha! Ha! At any rate, in the words of you, "I'm gone!" Laura Duke
  17. Hey, you two! There's nothing wrong with a sip or two of the egg nog-it's good for you! I never would scare the tourists away! I love tourists, it's fun to meet new people. I was trying to warn them to stay away from General Grant and RogerDuke-they are trouble! Some of you are trying to get rid of Big Bird fans, while others are trying to give people who dislike Coy and Vance a hard time! Well, Christine, watch out! And again, welcome! Although, now that you met RogerDuke and General Grant, you probably want to reconsider! Just teasing! Stick around, the fun is just beginning! Laura Duke
  18. Hey, Uncle Jesse! Sorry for not getting back to you that quickly. Hmm.. That's a tough one. But, I was thinking, they are all some form of Mill Pond Road. Couldn't it be that the "Old Ridge Runners" just call it Old Mill Pond Road? Then people like Bo and Luke who are younger just call it Mill Pond Road? But, you said that you were convinced that they were two different roads. So, first I thought I should choose between one of them. But, then I thought about it some more, so this is my answer to your question: I would put the Duke farm on the corner of Old Mill Pond Road and Mill Pond Road. So, how did you do it? You know, this map making is tough-but it sure seems like fun. I can't wait to see how your map turns out. Laura Duke
  19. Hello, there! Welcome to HazzardNet! I hope that you enjoy your stay, and find lots of fun things to talk about here. There's a lot going on, so you'll find a lot to do! I see that you met RogerDuke-he's one of the weirdest ones on HazzardNet-as you can see about the Las Vegas! He likes to drink heavily on the Buttermilk, so he gets a little strange. And, then there's General Grant-if you invite her to the Boars Nest, she drinks her buttermilk in a frosted glass-so look out for those two! At any rate, I hope you have a great time! There are really a lot of great, friendly people. So if you ever need anything, everyone is more than happy to point you in the right direction! Laura Duke
  20. Thanks, Uncle Jesse! Well, cousin Grant, I think that we've got you over a barrel! So, really, does anyone know why they have a different man talking for the teasers? It would be SO interesting to know! Laura Duke
  21. Aww, shucks, guys! I'm sorry, but I won't be able to chat on Saturday. I'm going to a Christmas party. But, I hope that all of you have a great time! I'll have to catch ya'll another time. So, save a spot at the Boars Nest for next time! Laura Duke
  22. That could very well be, General Grant. It's funny, everytime we write, we always have the opposite opinions on everything! I don't know, I really think that it is someone else on the teasers. But, I could be wrong. I'm really stuck on this one! Laura Duke
  23. Very cool pictures, everyone. I enjoyed looking at them, I got such a big grin on my face! Thanks for sharing, everyone! Laura Duke
  24. Hey Uncle Jesse! You're a wealth of knowledge! I never knew Cooter lived on Jessup Road, much less on a farm! But, then again, just about everyone on the Dukes of Hazzard lived on a farm! I just watched a Dukes of Hazzard show that named Mill Pond Road as were the Dukes lived, and that they lived 15 miles away from town! I was so excited to hear that! So, no wonder they can get from town to their house so fast, especially when they "go as the crow flies." Have you started drawing a map? Laura Duke
  25. Hey mini hogg! Yeah, if I see that you're in the chat room, I will definately give a shout to you! I look forward to doing that sometime. I agree, it's really great to meet new people-especially great Duke fans such as yourself. I also agree how neat it is to see how other people have gotten the Dukes of Hazzard into their lives. Again, welcome and stay for a long time! It's so great to chat with you! Laura Duke
