  1. After giving it some thought, here's my opinion about LucasKevinDuke's clever idea of Bo and Luke reversing roles with Coy and Vance. The Dukes was such a successful show and it was so well created, written and executed, it could have handled a couple weak links in the chain and still have been a hit. I do think that the lower quality acting abilities of Byron and Christopher would have drug the ratings down to a degree but I still think it would have succeeded. The key to the long term success would have been how well Byron and Christopher matured as actors. I'm not sure how much acting experience they had before coming on Dukes but John and Tom started episode number one making me believe they'd been in the business as long as the shows veterans. They were that good!! Bottom line...the ratings would have been lower, less people would have watched and it wouldn't have lasted 7 years unless the acting improved. As for me, I would have been just as big of a fan as I am today despite it all. I'm a Dukes fan for life!!!!
  2. Since I'm so depressed by seeing the second longest streak in the history of Duke or Dupe end, I thought I'd do a set of three with an equally depressing theme...the price of gas. Which of these were on the show? Hoggoco Gasoline or Hazzard Refining Company Shorty Hatfield's Gas Station or Shorty Shank's oil wells (episode names) Dukes Strike Oil or High Octane

  4. Have you figured out a way to send a private message? I'm exhausted. Catch ya later.

  5. night (my apologies to you third shift workers)
  6. That's pretty cool. Where did you get it? Unfortunately, I'm pretty computer illiterate (except for Hazzardnet) and wouldn't have a clue how to blow it up and print it. If you're interested in maps of Hazzard, I have posted (in the hobbies thread) all of the episodes that have maps. If you can't find it, let me know, I'll repeat them on this thread.
  7. That's awesome GADuke01. It would be really cool to live in the birthplace of the greatest show in the history of this planet.
  8. pillow (Boss had one strapped to his "seat" after he fell in the briar patch.)
  9. I tell you what LucasKevinDuke, I'm impressed. My brain's going a mile a minute now imagining that scenerio. I'm so impressed with your open-minded creative thinking I don't even know how to respond. It's not too often someone leaves me speechless. I hope you're not just one of these people who puts up a few posts and then goes away forever. You're clever thoughts could really spice this place up. (not that we need it. LOL)
  10. I'm so happy for you Daisy. I had a big smile on my face the whole time I was reading your last post...I'm still smiling. You're such a great fan and so deserving of all those awesome experiences!!!

  12. Thanks for the offer but my map is pretty much based on the sets in California. Like I said in the last post, the best I can do with the stuff from the Georgia episodes is incorperate them into those sets as well as possible.
  13. All 4 of you are right. Alex has 83 in a row. Who was after Daisy in "Close Call for Daisy"? A) a mob boss Boss Hogg C) a bear D) the Beaudrys E) Big Ed Little F) an escaped prisoner

  15. Welcome to the Hazzardnet, concrete. Maybe TimDuke will notice your post and respond. He sure knows a lot about the General Lee. I hope you're not just passing through town. Stay around awhile. Good luck.
  16. noisy (hey redneck girl. I've made that mistake before by going off of page 2 insread of one. For awhile there I was trying to figure out how "national" and "grasshopper" were related to each other...LOL)
  17. You got it right B.L....sorry Julie. Dewey is Hughie's older brother. One final question from "How to Succeed in Hazzard". Who was out of town? A) Bo Luke C) Daisy D) Jesse

  19. Ouch. This is the part of doing trivia stuff that really hurts. I'm really sorry DoubleX but your amazing streak has ended. I don't know how much it hurts you but I know that it sure takes the fun out of this thing for me when I have to tell somebody with the second longest streak in the short history of "Duke or Dupe" that it has ended. Witzell's Tires is real. I made up Ollie's Muffler Shop. 88 in a row is incredible. You should be proud.
  20. Hey Daisy, I guess my last post just showed all of Hazzard County how I have a tendency to miss the obvious sometime. I was talking to a relative today at a family gathering (she is also a country music DJ at a radio station in Pennsylvania) and I was telling her about this thread and we were trying to figure out the Dukes related lyrics in that song and it hit me like a brick that the title and not the lyrics is what you're referring to. What makes me look even dumber is that I was wearing a General Lee shirt at the time that says Yeehaw on the back (from the Northeast Ohio Dukes Club) Like I said, sometimes I sure can miss the obvious!!

    hey

Welcome to Hazzard County LucasKevin. It's always nice see somebody new passing through town. Hopefully you'll do more than pass through. We hope you stay awhile. So, who's your favorite character on the show? Do you have any favorite episodes?

  23. Well, at least you got to see Jimmie earlier this year.
