  2. Thanks for telling us about this DaisyMae. Hey daisydukexenosstrait, it's refreshing to know that there's still parents out there like your dad. As a dad (and also grandpa) myself, I have a lot of respect for men who are smart enough to raise kids with high moral values. That's why Uncle Jesse is my hero.
  3. Alex, Daisy, B.L. and Julie all got that one right. I notice I couldn't trick anybody with the pond water from "Dr Jekyll and Mr Duke" Alex has 117 in a row correct. What phoney charge was Boss trying to frame the Duke boys with on "Cletus Falls in Love"? A) moonshining stealing gold bars C) stealing orphanage money D) writing a bad check
  4. B.L. and Daisy got all 3 right. Daisy has 207 in a row correct (and 265 out of 266) B.L. has 69 in a row right. (Hey, the General Lee was made in '69) Which of these were on the show? 7. You're right B.L. It was never shown. Min, I remember them mentioning a root cellar too but I don't know which episode. To answer your question, I think a root cellar can be the same thing as a basement but I would guess that it would be lacking a concrete floor or other such luxuries. The temperature in a root cellar is more constant (and cool) so people used to store their roots there that they used for food and medicinal purposes. There probably were folks who had root cellars seperate from their house. The used to have "spring houses" too. That was a place near cool water that they built a small shed around (the better insulated ones were stone and not wood). The spring water would keep their food cool so it was like a primitive refrigerator.
  8. Well General, It was my first car. I took over payments ($99/month) from my brother when he went into the Marines and I was still in high school. I owned it for 11 years from 1977 to 1988 and thought about restoring it someday but finally accepted the fact that it would have just been too costly and so I sold it for parts. Besides, it was a 1975 and they don't have much value as classics like the 1964-1973 Mustangs do. Well, I have a lot of pictures and countless memories of that old blue car so that will have to do. Someday I might try to buy one that is as close to my old car as I can find. As you know General I don't have computer skills but if you have the ability to look up an old song called "Old Yellow Car" you'll probably really enjoy it. It's about getting attatched to a car so you can probably relate to it. I have it on the tip of my tongue who sang it but can't quite spit it out.
  9. Julie, this is so tempting. I was hoping that nobody would mention the election on the Hazzardnet. I have very strong political feelings but I'm going to avoid posting them....it's tempting though. I vote that we keep politics off the Hazzardnet. It causes too many problems.
  10. B.L. and Daisy got all 3 right. Daisy has 204 in a row correct (and 262 out of 263) B.L. has 66 in a row right. Which of these were on the show? Cross Creek Road or Cross Country Cafe Easy Living River or Swift Creek (episode names) Route 11-7 or Route 7-11
  11. Well General, to quote that famous philosopher Waylon Jennings..... "I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane" LOL By the way, I know what you mean about getting attached to a vehicle *sighs* I really do miss my Mustang *tears up*
  12. I have that song on my Hank Williams Sr. Greatest Hits CD. It might possibly be the saddest song ever written. I guess because it's so sad I can't really say I'm in love with it but I think it's a great song that can help people through tough times. When you're hurting that bad, it's always nice to know that there's someone out there who knows how you feel.
  13. Alex and B.L. got all 3 right. Julie got both right that she answered. Alex now has answered 116 in a row correct. In the 7 years of the series, how many episodes showed the basement of the Duke Farm? A) 0 1 C) 2 D) lots

A) Cletus Enos C) Rosco Tough Question What business were the silver thieves pretending to be in?
  17. The best thing I like about the song "Redneck Woman" is that she mentions Charlie Daniels and Hank Jr. Any song that mentions those two guys is okay in my book. I only wish that Rosco would have caught those two rednecks in his celebrity speedtrap. It would have been awesome to see them on Dukes.
  18. You're right, very Good B.L. That was a tough question. From "How To Succeed in Hazzard" who has safe deposit box number 115 in the Hazzard Bank? A) Boss Hogg Lulu Hogg C) Cooter D) Jesse E) Hughie Hogg
  19. To answer your question B.L., you have 63 in a row correct. Daisy has 201 and, in addition, she has only missed one out of her last 260!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Welcome back to Hazzard County Amanda. There's just something about this place that makes people want to come back if they leave. In fact, I think you know what it is. Like you said, it's "Them Dukes! Them Dukes!"
  21. Happy Halloween everybody. Do you want a real scare this Halloween? Do you want to huddle around your television and watch something that will make you shudder in fear because it's even scarier than "It's The Geat Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"? If you do, then I recommend these frightening Dukes of Hazzard episodes. The Hazzardville Horror - season 3 The Ghost of General Lee - season 2 The Haunting of J.D. Hogg - season 7 R.I.P. Henry Flatt - season 2 Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke - season 7
