  1. Now listen boys, I don't think it's a good idea if I try and come back to the farm in the pick-up. I'm heading over to the Back 40 and then walking down the trail from still sight number 4 and sneaking in that way. I'll hide the truck in that patch of golden rods by the swamp on the west end of the Back 40. In the meantime Luke, load up the double barrel shotgun.
  2. Bad Moon Rising
  3. They're driving a dark Blue Ford Maverick and they're lookin ornery. I suppose they're gonna look a lot more ornery once they find out that farm's abandon. I don't know what they're gonna do but I'd hunker down Luke in case they stop there looking for directions or in case someone else directs them your way. In the meantime, I'm gittin' outa here. They ain't gonna be too pleased with yer Uncle Jesse and I didn't bring the shotgun with me. Now, I wonder where Bo's at. (I'll be back later tonight)
  4. I'm Red White and Blue (Loretta Lynn)
  5. Bo and daisyxenos both got it right. On "The Great Bank Robbery" what is written on the walk-in-safe at the Hazzard Bank? A) The Atlanta Safe Company in Savannah The Savannah Safe Company in Atlanta
  6. The Wonderful World of Christmas (Elvis)
  7. I'm out here fixin' them fenceposts and two city boys with guns just stopped by looking for our farm. I gave them directions to the old abandon Baxley place but I reckon they're gonna need about 10 minutes to figure out I snookered 'em.
  8. In the Still of the Night (I don't think they're talking about a moonshine still..LOL)
  9. Jesse "Well Mister, around here folks have enough manners to ask politely the first time but since you insist, I reckon I'll let you know that it's the next place on the right just before you get to the intersection" *passenger scowls and motions for the driver to move ahead* *Jesse quickly walks to CB and sees that it's not on. Upon his discovery he corrects the problem* "Shepherd to Lost Sheep. Shepherd to Lost Sheep. I sure hope you boys have yer ears on 'cause this is something you need to hear"
  10. *passenger displays a hand gun but points it at the sky and not directly at Jesse* "This here's who's askin' old man" *driver looks disgusted at his partner*
  11. On the Bayou (Freddie Fender, Hank Williams and others)
  12. Congratulations Julie on post number 20,000 !!!!!!!

    That's an amazing accomplishment!!

  13. Dust in the Wind (Hey Julie, your song title has to have a word in it that was used in the title of the last song posted)
  14. One is the Lonliest Number
  15. After working on the fence posts for a half hour, a dark blue Ford Maverick with chrome wheels pulls up to Jesse. Both men in the car weren't very friendly looking. The driver leaves the engine running while the passenger asks Jesse "We're looking for a place called the Duke Farm. You wouldn't know where that might be now would you old-timer?" Jesse responds slowly and suspiciousely "Well now mister I might. It all depends on who's askin'?"
  16. LOL I forgot about her and Emma Tisdale. I might have to rethink this thing
  17. You're Still the One
  18. Still not realizing that his CB is off, Jesse starts working on the broken fence posts
  19. Enos was (and is) a great role model for all of us. He was always my favorite character because of his high morals and loyalty to his friends and community. I love his honesty, simplicity and integrity. As I've gotten older, Jesse has taken over as my favorite character but Enos will always be my second favorite (with everybody else tied for third...LOL)
  20. *talking to himself as he grabs a sledge hammer* I suppose if I don't git this fence fixed, that calf and her mama are gonna be ornrier than a rattlesnake without a tail after being cooped up it that barn another day
  21. Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places (Johnny Lee...I think)
  22. After getting to his destination, Jesse gets out of the pick-up. While leaning again the tailgate, a puffy white cloud passes overhead blocking out the sun. Jesse takes a deep breath of clear country air and says a quick prayer hoping that the CB will soon ring out with Bo or Luke's voice.
  23. Blue Eyes crying in the Rain (Willie Nelson and others) (Am I allowed to add the ing?...if not, skip this post)
  24. Well actually General Grant I froze some and had it for the Fourth of July. As far as me being crazy, let me quote the twentieth century's greatest philosopher..... "I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane...." --Waylon Jennings
