I won't get to see it because I have a million things to do. I did take my grandson to the dirt track in northeast Ohio again tonight. I might have told this story before but when I was a kid, my grandparents took us to a stunt show there. I got an autograph from one of the drivers named Buzz Bundy. Come to find out, he's the one who did all the stunts when the General Lee drove on two wheels. I really like going to the track now since it has a Dukes connection for me. I just wish they had an orange 01 car racing there.

Maybe ethanol makes cars go slower and fuel injection makes them go faster and they balance themselves out. I'm not sure if that's true or not, it's just a theory. I know they don't want the cars to go any faster because it's just too dangerous. I also know NASCAR's been criticized a lot lately for using too much fuel. Shucks, Uncle Jesse used ethenol back in the late thirties. He called it moonshine. I've always heard that they have to add a chemical to ethanol or people would drink it as moonshine because that's all it really is. I wonder if that's true.

*I cough uncontrollably as the tear gas enters my lungs. My eyes water heavily so I close them and try to feel my way around the room to make it to the door. I can't understand why the FBI didn't give me more time to surrender before they shot the tear gas cans in my farmhouse. It only seemed like 3 seconds elapsed before they announced their presence with their megaphone and when the window busted with the cannisters. I didn't even have time to get my shoes on. I stumble my way to the front door, cutting my left foot on the broken glass. Through the tear gas I am finally able to see all the blue and red flashing lights outside. I put my arms up to surrender and instantly hear a barrage of gunshots coming from the dozens of vehicles parked outside....... BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!! The alarm sounds. It's 9:00am. Time to get the chores done, have breakfast and meet Garrett. First I get on my knees and thank Almighty God it was just a dream.

If you're the old fart, I'm the older fart. I just turned 50 (a week after John Schneider). I think I'm the oldest person here who posts on a daily basis. In fact, I may be the oldest person here period. I'm probably not though. James Best was posting stuff last year and I know he's older than me....Khee Khee!!!

Garrett, I also heard that Jimmie took responsibility too. It was in the newspaper. Hopefully that will put an end to it. If you can get USA Today (sports) on-line, they did a story today about how dangerous the track is at Talledega. My NASCAR source told me that NASCAR is going to go with all ethanol next year....or was it in 2011? Have you head that? He also said they are going to allow fuel injection and get rid of carbuerators. Have you heard that one?

*after arriving home I go through my routine of letting the dog, out, going to the bathroom and brushing my teeth. I laid down in bed wondering if I'd done the right thing or not. If it weren't for the mystery man in the pick-up truck I'd have fallen asleep a whole lot quicker but I was upset that somebody else was now involved, especially an innocent Good Samaratin who was just trying to go the right thing. I would have done the same thing if I was that feller in that situation. Finally I comfort myself by, once again, reminding myself that we are doing this for a good cause. Boss has been ripping off orphans for too long now. I remind myself of one of my favorite sayings "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing". I fall asleep looking forward to meeting up with Garrett at noon and hoping to put an end to this adventure*
