  1. I was just reviewing some old threads and stumbled across this one. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Jude Emery's vehicle. I'm not real crazy about the flowers on it but I'd love to own a machine like that. Overall, I'm not really a "car guy". I used to be when I was younger but these newer vehicles don't have as much personality and they're impossible to work on unless you're a computer expert. I still haven't outgrown dirt bikes though. I love every episode that has them on.
  2. She's Like the Wind (Patrick Swayze)
  3. LOL You can never watch Dukes too much. golduster360, I CAN'T relate to you about noticing the belt buckles but I can relate as far as noticing other things that nobody else probably does. (Well, they probably notice but not enough to get excited about it.) Of course those things I notice are because I like them. I wrote down every episode that shows the Dukes cutting or splitting firewood because I like doing that myself so much. I also wrote down other things I like, for example, wild medicinal herbs, the times they camped out, working in the fields, etc. That's one reason I like Dukes so much, I can relate to them so well.....now if I could just get into NASCAR. I try but just can't seem to get excited about it for some reason. Shhh, don't tell Bo and Luke.

*wipes sweat from forehead from worrying so much* Please don't tell me that she's riding a wheelie all the way to Atlanta on her dirt bike or I'll start worrying again.
  5. I'm Red, White and Blue (Loretta Lynn) (This was a clever song because Loretta is part Native American, caucasion and sad)

Easy now Garrett. Choose your words carefully. An old feller like me can't take much of a shock to his system ya know. (Better yet, don't say any more at all) LOL

I know what you mean Lukas KD. It's a good thing Hazzard County is real. Otherwise folks would think I'm about a half bubble off plum.

Thanks for setting me straight on that Lori. I forgot that his name was Aang, I was thinking his name was Avatar. My mistake. I'm not even sure what the word Avatar means. I'd never heard that word until a few years ago when that cartton came out. Now I wonder if they'll still call Aang an Avatar in the movie or if they won't because the movie Avatar has rights to the word. All I know is, my Uncle Jesse avatar has them both beat.
  10. GeneralLeeGirl, texasdaisy and daisyxenos got that one right. Luke saves Boss just before a bomb goes off when Boss is giving a speech on the gazebo in the middle of Hazzard Square.
  11. I Don't Care if the Sun Don't Shine (Elvis-coincidently he recorded that when he started out with Sun records)
  12. texasdaisy, daisyxenos and B.L. got that one right. I love that quote. Here's another "Complete that Quote". It's from Bo on the episode "Deputy Dukes" when a mobster was trying to pay them to let him get away. "We're country boys. We don't use no money. We just barter our way through life. Ya know, if you was to offer us a bushel of ________ there ain't no telling what I might do for ya." A) oats wheat C) potatoes D) tomatoes E) corn F) turnips
  13. Might as Well be Walking on the Sun (Is that Smash Mouth?)
  14. I think the Dollar General Store in Chickasaw has them. Is that a long drive from Hawaii?
  15. When The Sun Goes Down (Kenny Chesney)

Since this forum hasn't been used for awhile I thought I'd get things stirred up. I saw Avatar several weeks ago and I was wondering what other folks thought of it. The visual effects were expectedly spectactular but I didn't necessarily think the plot was that great. They simply took what the Europeans did to the native American Indians and made it into a futuristic story. (I'm sure stuff like that went on in lots of other countries too besides North America). I'm not complainig. The movie was worth the money just for the special effects alone but the story-line didn't have enough twists in it to satisfy me. What do you think? Also, does anybody know how they got the name for the movie? I see the Avatar cartoon is becoming a movie but they're calling it "The Last Airbender" and not using the name Avatar. I wonder if that will still be the main character's name in the movie like it was in the cartoon.
  17. When a Boy Like Me Meets a Girl Like You (Elvis)
  18. texasdaisy, B.L. and daisyxenos got all three right. Which of these were on the show? Lester Crabb or Ernest T. Bass Winchester Lane or Parkins Road (episode names) Flyin' With Eagles or Bird's Gotta Fly
  19. All For The Love of a Girl (Johnny Horton)
  20. Daisy, GeneralLeeGirl, texasdaisy and daisyxenos all got it right. This episode has a feller who has been in jail several years...for jaywalking.
  21. Good point GeneralLeeGirl. If I don't find a good hiding spot, I might not live long enough to see the moderators get honored. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.
  22. Even Cowgirls Get The Blues (That wasn't Donna Fargo was it?)
  23. There'll Be No Teardrops Tonight (Hank Sr.)
  24. Living on Tulsa Time (Mel Tillis I think)
