  1. They're going to have a problem because no matter who wins in 2014 everybody will be going back to calculate how that winner would have done under the 2013 rules. If Dale does win and wouldn't have in 2013 there's going to be an uproar. This is a great opportunity for Johnson though. If he can win under the new rules as well, his fans will say he deserves to be talked about in the same conversation as Richard Petty and Dale Senior.
  2. Awesome pictures as always! I especially love the real Boss with the cartoon Flash.
  3. light (ya gotta get the light right to get a good picture)
  4. Congratulations to our Supreme Superior Commander and all the other Seahawks fans out there. Who knew the Seahawks had an offense too?! I wouldn't be surprised if they win next year too but after that it's going to be tough hanging on to all those talented young players with the NFL salary cap and contracts running out. (For a second there I thought the Bears won the Super Bowl but I guess all of us are guilty of being lazy and not starting a new thread) LOL

  6. Well, my Steelers might not have made the playoffs (because of the bad call by those zebras in that last Chargers game with 4 seconds left) but I still have good memories of when we beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
  7. lawman (did you mean Ed?)
  8. In USA Today (Friday) Jimmie Johnson is complaining that the new rules benefit Dale Junior. Somebody sat down and figured out that Junior would have been champ in 2013 if they used the new 2014 rules. According to JJs fans NASCAR doesn't like him winning so much because it makes NASCAR boring.
  9. Space Shuttle (one was named Columbia)
  10. It's certainly bittersweet when you like both teams that are competing but I'm guessing MM will be a 100% Seahawk fan as soon as the opening kickoff happens.
  11. noise (hey, there's more than one kind of pollution)
  12. Very interesting! I never knew that about the Olympics. I guess that's because I'd never taken the time to think about it.
  13. I was watching "The Rustlers" on CMT last night and noticed something at the end when Luke rides the horse Manassas to try and make it to the race on time. The rider is clearly a stunt man. That's no surprise but what did surprise me is how much he looked like a stunt man and not Luke. Then I realized that I have a big screen TV now and could just see him bigger and better which is why I'd never noticed it as much in the past.
  14. Great pictures! I've said it a hundred times.... best thread on the entire internet!
  15. Well I just tried 20 minutes later and did the exact same thing and it worked fine! I'm in!

  17. Great tribute on the homepage MM! I was stationed in Camp Lejeune North Carolina (USMC) when I saw my first Dukes episode. The show was only a couple weeks old and everybody was talking about it. I've been hooked ever since. I'm so delighted that CMT is carrying them again. Long live Hazzard County!!!!
  18. McDonald's has a new commercial out saying "I used to be like that". It pokes fun at the folks addicted to their devices....so addicted in fact that they can't enjoy their meal. Of course McDonald's also provides WiFi.
  19. Shucks, it's still telling me that the password is incorrect despite trying nascar24. I know I'm computer illiterate but I've been playing yahoo fantasy sports for 4 years and I know I'm trying the correct way to sign up so I'm suspecting there's still some other problem. I even tried to put a space between nascar (small letters) and 24. Could there be a chance you're giving me the wrong password intentionally because you know I'll win if I sign up? LOL
  20. Hey Garrett, I tried signing up using 947 and NASCAR24 but it said the password was wrong. I tried variations of the password (without caps, etc) and it still didn't work. Is anybody else having problems?

  22. For those of you who have never played fantasy NASCAR before it's really easy. Other sports require a lot of time to be competitive but you can win a NASCAR league by only putting five minutes a week into it. The trick is to picking the right drivers. Since I didn't do too well last season I think I'm going to get help this year by asking advice from a friend of mine who knows which drivers do well on which tracks. I like to think that's not really cheating since the yahoo fantasy NASCAR website also provides tips, as it does with all fantasy sports. Plus you can buy magazines that assist you with advice. At least I know you can with the other fantasy sports. So much of fantasy NASCAR is luck since drivers, more often than not, don't finish where they're expected to. But even though a unknowledgable player can be lucky a week or two, the people who do the best in the long run are usually folks like Garrett who know NASCAR better.

  24. I'm going for the Seahawks. They've never won it and besides, Meadowmufn's awesome! I'll be thinking about you during the game MM
  25. That's funny Hoss. I suppose the picture was taken with a cell phone.
