I'm so happy you finally joined Skipper. I might even change my name to Gilligan Duke just so you can call me Little Buddy.....just kidding. Just to let you HazzardNet folks know, I joined Facebook just to do Dukes stuff and requested some Dukes fans for friends and Robert was the first to accept. And he's a bit of a legend in the Dukes Facebook community so I wouldn't be too surprised if some of his friends follow him to the HazzardNet. Miz Tisdale on the Lam.....season 4 A mysterious man with the fake name of John Smith has been coming to the post office for a week getting a LOT of mail. He is working for Boss who is running a mail scam to sell land at Hazzard Highlands, which doesn't even exist. After falling for the scam a lady named Sue Ann Blake shows up looking for her land. She bumps into Bo and Luke but they tell her they've never heard of HH. When Boss finds out a postal inspector is on the way to investigate mail fraud he sends Rosco to the post office to make it looks like Emma Tisdale is running the scam. While Rosco's there Sue Ann shows up. It turns out she's not a victim after all. She's the inspector. Rosco tells her Emma is the scammer. The boys overhear it and run to Cooter's to warn her and take her to the farm for protection. Billy Joe Fong jumped on the loaner motorcycle, with sidecar that Cooter gave her and disguised himself as Emma to trick the law. Of course Emma is pretty happy hanging out with Jesse at the farm. Sue Ann tells Boss and Rosco that she thinks Emma has accomplices so Rosco sets the Dukes up to be framed as well. When Boss, Sue Ann, Cletus and Rosco go to the farm everybody scatters, Jesse hopping in Emma's sidecar. The romantic couple (in Emma's mind) end up hiding in the back of Billy Joe's CB shop where Emma starts running her fingers through his hair. After Bo and Luke get caught and tied up by "John Smith" and his accomplice those two bad guys go to the post office in masks and drop Bo's wallet to frame him. The boys get loose and after a big chase with several vehicles everything gets sorted out and it's another happy ending. Jesse even took Emma catfishing. -- Cletus got wet 5 times in this episode....that has to be a record. -- "Cletus, you were born stupid and you've been losing ground ever since." Boss -- This is the episode with that classic scene with Boss and Rosco and that out of control popcorn machine. It was so funny to see Rosco salting popcorn in mid air.

I talked to my friend and he tried again but is still having trouble. After answering the questions and hitting "create my account" he still can't get past the robot part. Is there any other way of doing it? If I get his e-mail address and send it to you or MM could he bypass that part?

I finally joined Facebook and joined a bunch of Dukes groups so I'm talking about HN. I'm only using FB for Dukes stuff. It's been nice to reconnect with folks I met in Ray Kohn's Northeast Ohio Dukes stunt shows.

I had a great night doing astronomy last night. My wife is off work today. She loves sharks and the local theater is only showing classics so we might go see the first Jaws today. I'm waiting for them to bring out the original Top Gun. I don't know what's going on with this new one.

Hmmm, hadn't really thought about it. I'm recruiting new HN members now so if the activity picks up I might.

Coming up with the fake parts of these duke or dupes was so much fun...Squirrel City...lol...it sounds like something that might have been on the show.

I have a friend who is having trouble signing up. He'd be able to see this thread though even without being a member so could you explain the sign up process Hoss or MM....or direct him to the right thread. Thanks...you know how low tech I am. I'm not sure what the problem is. I think it's the part where you have to prove you're not a robot.

Pin the Tail on the Dukes....season 4 Jesse's old friend Hector Farley gets out of prison after 10 years and immediately starts seeking revenge on Boss. Boss is worried so he tries to get Hector thrown in jail but the Dukes have other plans. Boss embezzled $10,000 worth of taxpayers dollars to buy radar guns but only bought 2 hair dryers disguised as them. One of them got ruined when the General Lee splashed on it so Boss planned to arrest the Duke boys for destroying county property. In the meantime the Dukes have their hands full trying to stop Hector from hurting Boss and going back to prison. Boss calls Hector and tells him to meet in front of the courthouse because he wants to make things right and give him the $25,000 dollars he owes him but Bo and Luke grab him before he can fall into that trap. Daisy and Jesse snatch Cletus's fake radar gun and toss it to the boys and Hector in the General. The boys told Boss they would report his embezzlement unless he drops the charges and gives Hector his money but Boss tricks them and grabs the hair dryer and takes off for Hazzard Swamp to destroy the evidence but the Duke boys get there when Rosco throws it. In the most spectacular catch in series history Luke snatches the dryer in mid air in the passenger seat while Bo is flying the General over the swamp. Boss is forced to accept the deal and a ridge runner handshake seals it. -- "Back in 1944 in Hazzard High 'ole Rosco threw two touchdowns....at the wrong goal." -Waylon -- a rare episode where we see a television in the Dukes house -- Boss had such a big pile of donuts on his desk you couldn't even see him behind it. -- Mr Rhuebottom makes his first appearance even though his store has been there since season number one when filming in California began.....and even though Boss foreclosed on it a few episodes ago in "Trouble at Cooter's"

Despite the current censorship we've been seeing the past couple of years the General Lee is still the most recognizable car in the world and that will remain that way for the rest of our lives and longer!

I can relate. While using my imagination one day I imagined an encounter with a mythical beast eating a deer. The scene struck me enough that I expanded it and eventually my thoughts went even further and thought of a story line. The next thing you know I thought it was a good idea for a book and have been working on it for 10 years. It is a Lord of the Rings style tale and I have split it up into three books. One where the main character is 15. One where he is 49 and one where he is 82. Now that I'm retired I have a lot more time for it. I guess every big project ever accomplished by anybody, started with a single thought.

For example, were they thinking of the Orient Express with Danger on the Hazzard Express? It seemed like the later the series went the more they played with the title references.

The odd thing is that Moonshine is often called shine but is never called moon. If you just say the title and didn't see the episode you wouldn't think of moonshine. I wonder who wrote the episode titles. It might have been the writers but maybe not. I know from experience that if you write an article or letter to a newspaper they write the title for you.....and sometimes do a terrible job.

Shine on Hazzard Moon.....season 4 All 4 Dukes are in the General Lee on the way home from fishing. All 4 caught their limit of trout on the first day of the season....Waylon said he did too. Cletus started chasing them after they went through a 5 MPH sign. Jesse pointed out that he couldn't even walk that slow. Cletus ended up in the pond and caught his own fish and pointed it like a gun. Boss has a big time buyer named Jasper Fenwick test his moonshine but Jasper said it was terrible and he'd only make a deal if Jesse would make the shine or if Boss could use Jesse's recipe. (Jasper's henchman Eli reminded me of a bigger stronger Bill Clinton). Boss took $202.10 to Jesse and claimed he overpaid on the mortgage. He suggested Jesse put it in a safe place so he put it in a cookie box. The next morning Boss and Rosco lured the Dukes out of the house and Rosco took what he thought was the shine recipe from the box but when he brought it back, Boss knew right away it was horse linament. Boss then hires Rayford Flicker to make it look like the boys stole from the orphanage playground fund. After a chase they go to jail and Boss made a deal with Jesse....their freedom for Jesse making up a batch of moonshine. Boss let's him use his personal still. Since Cletus always ends up in the pond he is reading a book on how to swim while guarding the jail but Cooter tricks him and the boys escape. They catch Rayford and he signs a confession that Boss paid him to frame them. Jasper buys the "shine" and then Boss forces Jesse to load the still and haul it to Chickasaw where Big Ed is waiting after being called. Luke and Jesse were able to dump the evidence in the swamp and Jesse revealed that all he made was some "pretty top grade motuthwash." -- "You know, Bo and Luke went to the fair once and rode one of them big time roller coasters. They fell asleep." -- Bo talking about Cletus "He's alright though" .......Waylon's response "If you can call being Cletus alright." -- Great scene of the General and Sheriff's car jumping in opposite directions. When the scene froze while they were in mid air Waylon said. "Friends, that's America. Kinda purty ain't it?"

The Sound of Music-Hazzard Style....season 4 Cletus is chasing the General Lee out on the dirt roads while Mickey Gilley is giving a daytime concert at the Hazzard Gazebo and singing "Object of My Affection". What Mickey doesn't know is that 2 record pirates, named Heep and Morton have been hired by Boss and are in a nearby van illegally recording the concert. When federal agents try to arrest Heep and Morton they stop the General Lee and force the boys to be a getaway car. This makes the agents think the Duke boys are record pirate accomplices. Eventually the boys and the General get away from the bad guys. Rosco is worried about Boss's scam because he just got into astrology and says the planets aren't lined up for them to succeed. His obssession with astrology lasts all episode. The agents don't know Boss and Rosco are crooked so they report the pirates to them. Bo and Luke don't know Boss is in with the pirates so they report to them as well. After Rosco gets the pirated tape that was in the back of the General he tries to arrest the boys but they get away. Boss and the duo of Heep and Morton spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to double cross each other. One of the agents catches the boys but they get away with a dramatic double jump onto Dixie with Daisy driving. Heep and Morton steal money from Boss and take him hostage in their van and later grab Rosco too. It's the Duke boys to the rescue, fighting off the bad guys and their bulldozers, one of them (driverless) almost crushing the General but then hitting Cletus's car. The agents arrest Heep and Morton and Mickey returns and sings "The Girls all get Prettier at Closing Time". He gives the Dukes a reward that they donate to the orphanage.

scream I'm not into that stuff too much but it's fun around Halloween. I do want to visit the haunted prison in Moundsville WV. It is west of Pittsburgh, right by where WV, Ohio and Pennsylvania come together. The huge native American mound looks fascinating too.

It sure is affecting fantaay teams too. The fantasy team that has the most covid cases is usually losing.

I'm not even going to be doing much trash talking this year. Your Cubs are better than my Pirates so I might as well just admit it and get it over with. The big question is: can the season make it until playoffs? It's not looking good.
