  1. This is amazing if you think about it. John will turn 60 in 9 days and Sonny is 84. They portrayed them growing up together even though at the time John was a teenager (19) and Sonny was 43.
  2. Daisy's Song --It was funny when Waylon said that Jessi Colter was good but he is partial to June Carter, especially since Waylon and Jessi were married in real life. In case you didn't know, June Carter was Johnny Cash's wife. Jessi is 76 years old and lives in Arizona today. --I loved it before the boys went to Atlanta and Jesse said not to take advantage of city folks since it ain't their fault they don't know no better. --3 great Waylon quotes.... "You know there's a distinct advantage in never growing up"...talking about Bo and Luke. "It'd have been a lot easier to just give Daisy her 50 bucks back" "Another good thing about Hazzard County. We tend to have happy endings" --This is my least favorite of the Georgia episodes but is still amazing!
  3. One Armed Bandits -- I love the 5 Georgia episodes. The scenery is so realistic....umm, that's because they were filmed in northern Georgia. -- Boss eating raw liver for breakfast! It really was raw liver too. -- The Georgia episodes were a little edgier. An example of that is when Bo said that Luke might have fathered at least 2 of the kids in the orphanage and Luke responded "Bo's always bragging on me." -- The Boar's Nest was loud, dark and rough back then. The first guy Daisy punched was Dennis Haskins, later to become Mr Belding from Saved By the Bell. She later knocked out a female deputy in the jail. -- 15 minutes into the very first episode Cooter and Bo have their arms around an African American named Brodie. Anyone who thinks this show was racist has never seen it. -- Enos and the boys grew up together yet in reality Sonny is old enough to be John's father. To this day it's amazing how young he looks. --Bloopers...another General Lee is seen parked in town when the boys are driving the General. Rosco was spelled Roscoe on banner at end --Bo sure had an ego and he said "Thanks, I've been working on it for years" --What a great ep....it's where the fun all started.
  4. Since Uncle Jesse celebrates his 100th birthday this year (Denver Pyle born May 11, 1920) and since I am now the same age he was when Dukes debuted and since I'm retired now and have more time I'm doing an episode review. I will watch the shows in order, make a few comment and anybody who wants can add their thoughts on that episode. We should wrap this up before the year ends.
  5. Happy birthday Lulu Hogg on March 31, the day before Sadie Hogg Day. We love and miss you sweetheart.
  6. You actually look a little like me.....not really sure since it wasn't a great picture. Contrary to popular belief I don't look like Uncle Jesse...even though I hope to someday.
  7. I hadn't heard that. Even though he isn't known by everybody I bet he is the first celebrity to lose his life to it. It's a bit strange that a song about dying was his biggest hit. This has gotten pretty serious. I'm concerned about my wife working in intensive care. Numbers are increasing here. I won't be going back to my job before my retirement date of April 15 so I'm officially retired now because of this.
  8. Cool stuff. It was neat to see that it was displayed at a car show. Is that a reflection of you above Cooter?
  9. That sounds just like Pennsylvania's rules. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are getting hit hard but not rural Pennsylvania.....yet.
  10. I'm getting ready to start watching the whole series again. I think I'll start a review thread.
  11. Yesterday was Cale's birthday. He was born March 27, 1939. Besides being featured in 2 Dukes episodes here's an interesting trivia fact about Cale: His first ever win was in Valdosta Georgia in 1965. Valdosta is the lifelong home of Sonny Shroyer. I wonder if Sonny was there as a spectator. Happy birthday Cale. I hope it was a good one.
  12. Snoopy (always going after that Red Baron)
  13. They are trying to say that the Dukes are such good drivers and the General Lee is such a good car and they perform so well that curves and hills are easy challenges for them. That is a bit funny though with all this talk of "flattening the curve" to ease the timing of hospitals receiving patients. Thanks for pointing that out. We look forward to hearing more from you.
  14. This puts me in the mood to play Dukes ! Great job on the barn.
  15. Welcome to the HazzardNet anotherDuke. Good luck with your dream of building a General. Make sure you check out everything we have here on the best website on the internet. We look forward to hearing more from you in other threads.
  16. That is so cool! Thanks for sharing it and keep us updated on that and any other Dukes stuff you have going on.
  17. I'm sorry to hear your bad news TommyLee. If you can afford to, why don't you just keep them as collector's items? They aren't as cool as the whole car but they would still be awesome momentos for a fan as big as you.
  18. Just had our fifth case here in Erie County Pennsylvania. All 5 are at home under qanantine and all 5 are relatively young. I think the oldest is only 40.
  19. This leaves me speechless. We are in the midst of greatness. You have the hands of a surgeon, the skills of a master craftsman and the passion for Hazzard of a genuine Duke boy. I'm calling my best friend and telling him he's been replaced. What a super fan! Thanks for sharing this and it will fun be fun to see it evolve.
