We had the grandkids so it was another busy and fun weekend. They wear us out but they are always fun. This new puppy is wearing us out too. She finally has gotten to a point where she'll sleep through the night.

It's pretty hot up here in Pennsylvania. I'm heading to the dirt track tonight for the first time this season. I suppose it's time to check out the schedule at the local dirt bike track too. I've only had my dirt bike out once all year. It is definitely overdo for an oil change. Any weekend plans for you folks?

You're right. I wish John would have had a little more time to state his case. The lady clearly didn't know how to deal with simple logic. I'm not sure if they cut the interview off because of time or because they were protecting her from embarrassing herself. John was fantastic.

John Schneider is going to be on The Doctors tomorrow morning. They showed a little clip of it this morning and he was defending the Confederate Flag on the Dukes. I am pleasantly surprised that network TV would give him air time to defend the show. Things like this sure help to get Dukes back on the air. The episode will air Thurday May 20 at 9am EST on ABC. Skipper, please post this on FB.

Things have finally settled down to the new normal around here. It really was crazy for awhile. My mother-in- law was a great person and I will miss her. I'll catch up on posts tomorrow. I hope everybody had a good weekend.

It's going to be pretty crazy around here the next 3 days with relatives in our home, calling hours and the funeral. I probably won't be on HN again until the storm is over.

These cyberattacks are getting pretty serious. The gas stations here are pretty low. I bet they'll be out tomorrow. They are telling people that is wrong to "panic buy" and fill your tank up. That makes sense and sounds socially responsible but the alternative is to run out of gas. I hope my daughter can get home from Virginia for the funeral. I got the yard mowed today.

After reading the story it's clear that there are two sides to it so this one is tough to call. It sounds like they wouldn't have said anything about the shorts if there wouldn't have been a separate issue.

I just noticed that Jesse's birthday wasn't on this thread laat year and then realized I did a special thread for him in 2020 on his 100th birthday. Happy 101 today Jesse. The nice thing about popping a Dukes DVD in, is that Jesse stays in his 60s forever (59 in Georgia). It gives me a sense of comfort knowing my hero is timeless. it's been crazy around here with funeral planning and taking care of my wife who is in a sling and taking care of this new puppy. I gotta get the yard mowed today though.....it looks like we're finally going to have a day where the sun shines all day.

Thanks for your sympathy. You have mine too. I still have my parents but neither are doing well. My wife's dad is in pretty good shape though.

By strange coincidence, she went into the nursing home on this day too (May 9 2018). It wasn't Mother's Day that year but close to it. When they told us a few days ago that she was near death, my wife somehow knew she would die on Mother's Day.

It's a rough Mother's Day around here. My wife's mom died this morning. She was the last survivor of 12 kids so an entire generation is now gone. Most men complain about their mother- in-laws but not me. I loved her and will miss her. RIP Mom.

Which would have been appropriate since Boss is such a Scrooge.
