Here are some drawings I did of the General Lee

When I first met Rick, it was in the 90's, so the WWW was in its infancy. When I told him about HazzardNet's predecessor (the Hazzard County Sheriff's Department on Prodigy), he was excited there was a community of fans online still discussing and enjoying the show. He told me he'd be right back and when he returned, he handed me an enormous folder of 8x10s, several of them signed. That was very generous of him. I still have them packed away from the move, but when I find them (someday), I will scan them in and put them on the site. When I mentioned where I worked at the time, we had a connection there and he told me some amazing stories. We just had an awesome conversation. He was very personable and gracious. At the Dukesfest in '01, I got to do an impromptu square dance with him and Jimmie. Good times. I would've liked to have gotten to know him better, but my health and work situations over the years didn't permit me to get to events as much as I'd have liked.

Well done, Skipper. I also remembered the scene but not the episode. Watching the scene again, I remembered that it slightly annoyed me. When Boss reveals his string of dollar signs, every other one should be mirrored if they were cut out of a single piece of paper, but they all face the same way.

Happy Halloween guys!! unfortunately, I come from a family who don't celebrate things much outside Christmas so I'm not doing anything, but my mom bought me some candy last week (which is already almost gone) and I have a cool halloween outfit on Red Dead Redemption Online! Might brave up and watch some horror movies tonight...not sure

Wow. You guys are awesome. I feel like a chooch. I made a post 5 years ago and y’all responded and I ghosted you. So, my wife planned a surprise trip to Covington, GA with the fam. Got To visit the jump sites from the first 5 episodes, meet some other cool Dukes fans AND John Schneider happened to be in town after a convention in Atlanta. Talk about an amazing day! Then, hit Cooters Garage in Pigeon Forge, TN a couple days later. Anyway, I’m totally geeking out on all things Dukes again and looking forward to checking out the forums here! I still love your artwork recreations, Hoss!

My parents were married 67 years, just a few months shy of 68 years when dad passed. They got married at 19 (mom) and 21 (dad). I've been married almost 23 years. My oldest sister celebrates anniversary #32 this year and my other sister will celebrate #26 later this year. So, my advice would be to find someone who's been married a long time and get advice from them! Because whatever my mom and dad were doing right, it seemed to rub off on us kids. My mom always told me that the key to a long marriage was.... 2 tv sets. And for the record, all of us kids have more than 1 tv set.

As I mentioned on the previous page, it would also have been my mother's birthday today, so I've been remembering her.

it's been a long time since I updated this thread, and a long time since I did any work to any vehicles in general, but I expect to resume some of my efforts soon, so I wanted to catch this thread up. A while back I built a TWS CJ7 Jeep RC kit. I made some minor modifications in that I printed a modified set of seats from the 69 Charger model that I printed the 69 Charger interior from. I did this because the TWS kit came with the later high-back style seats. The earlier CJ7s like they used in the show had the low back seats which looked very similar to the charger seats, so that was a good way to get the right style seats. Additionally, I was able to carefully cut out the doors on the lexan body and I hope to build some hinges so I can put them on when desired, but that's a project for another day. Because of the open jeep design, it was absolutely necessary to have a driver, and these options were very limited. There aren't any action figures that look anything like Daisy. I looked into some of the proper sized action figures available on Ebay but those seem to be aimed mostly at Cosplay people and perverts. They're expensive, anatomically accurate for pornstars, and the clothing all needs to be bought separately. Since my daughter is involved in this whole process, that approach was scrapped and I found this 3d printable option that I decided to go with. It doesn't really look like Daisy, but it's better than the scale pornstar option! Next step for the Jeep is a more correct wheel/tire package and the decals. I'm not terribly impressed with the decal set that I bought on Ebay, so I'll probably work up my own and have MCI print them for me. He's the one that I got the General decals from, and the one that printed the police decals that I designed. Hopefully soon I'll start my 3rd General Lee build.

Some random advice: 1. Take lessons from a local instructor. Learning guitar is hard. Having an instructor vastly improves your chances of success. 2. When you're learning chords, just hold the chord while you're watching tv. Strum it a little bit during commercials. At first when you pull your hand away, you have to carefully reposition your fingers. After a while you'll notice that your hand will snap back to that spot. Once it does that, you'll start to be able to just grab that chord without positioning your fingers. 3. Once you can grab the chord reliably, start working on a 2nd chord. Once you can grab 2 reliably, start switching between them 4. When you're actually practicing instead of just holding chords while watching Dukes reruns, focus on having good timing. That's a critically important skill. Go as slow as you need to. Whether you use a metronome, a youtube drum track or play along with the song, timing is everything. Even if you can only strum the chord once per beat, your timing is always your priority. 4a. Learn to tap your foot to the beat. Do it to every song on the radio when you're not practicing. Make it become 2nd nature, because you'll need it to keep good time, especially when you start getting to songs with stuff that's off the beat. 5. A bunch of old Waylon and Hag songs are only 2 chords. 6. This probably should have gone near the top, but take your guitar to a competent tech or luthier for a setup. Make sure he knows that you're a beginner and he should be able to set up the guitar with lighter strings and lower action. This will make it easier to play. Like I said above... learning is hard, and frankly, it's a lot harder when you start on acoustic. It's bigger, it's farther from your body, it's harder to see what you're doing, the strings are thicker and they're farther from the frets. Hope this helps.

In my area of NW Pennsylvania it is easy to get a job, even part time and under 18. Employers are desperate for help.. But I'm sure that's not the case everywhere. Keep looking. You'll get there if you stick with it.

I've just spent the evening at a bar (very unusual for me) listening to a couple of local guys playing live music on acoustic guitars. It was a good mix of traditional Irish songs and old favorites. What surprised me was the number of Americans at the bar. The first people I spoke to were from just across the Indiana border from Chicago, but there were three groups from California (Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles), one from Seattle and another from Florida. I know where I live is a popular tourist destination, but I rarely get to speak to the visitors.

They're currently running the 2024 Camaro body and probably will next season as well.

Well spotted, Webb. You seem to have a slightly wider frame than I do as my copy only extends to the lamp. Jimmie was probably meant to stop a foot or two further back when then set up the shot. There are a few other scenes in this episode that were obviously filmed in a studio. I can see a corner in the scenery in one shot, but no edges like you spotted. I noticed something else in the Boar's Nest scene. When Bo sneaks into the back of Rosco's patrol car, the driver's seat is all the way back, so there's hardly room for Bo to get his legs in. We can see the seat in this position as Rosco drives off, but we can't see Bo. When we do see Bo, he's got his whole body between the front and rear seats, so the driver's seat must be about six inches forward. I'm sure Rosco would notice that much movement - I know I would!

Jesse's front bumper crossed the finish line first but when he got out of the truck the race judge (Enos Strate) was already handing the fourth place trophy to Miz Tisdale... Jesse complained "Now Enos, Emmer ran a good race but I'm sure I crossed that there finish line first". Enos replied quickly "Um, I'm sorry about that Uncle Jesse but Miz Tisdale had two fishing poles tied to the front fender of her dirt bike and they stuck out so far that they crossed before your bumper." Jesse erupted " What in tarnation did ya do that fer Emmer?" Miz Tisdale smiled "Now don't you remember Jesse? You was so confident you'd finish ahead of me that you promised to take me on a date to the Hazzard Pond if I beat you." Jesse smiled, "All right Emmer you win. But yer gonna be the one cleaning and frying the fish." She smiled back "I'm okay with that. As long as I can come out to the farm to do it."

I forgot to mention 'On the Rocks'. Rick played one of the inmates in this prison-set sitcom in the mid-70s. It was based on the British sitcom 'Porridge', which coincidentally I'm watching right now. I've only ever seen a couple of clips of 'On the Rocks' - maybe it'll make it online one day. OK...my gold 1983 Tran Am, T top with a black eagle on the hood, can go close to 180 mph, because I souped it up and I use special MoonS.....er....FLUID! yea....that's it!.....fluid! to make my car run so fast. My tank is full ( in more ways than one!) and I know the track around the county better than anybody! My mech...mech.....mech......my RePAIR man has taken special time this week to get this machine into top shape! And I'm getting ready for it as soon as everyone else prep.....prep...prep.....gets ready. The only thing I've got left to do, is take a little sip ( you never waste a sip!) .....ooooo that's smoooth! * I'll be back later with an adult beverage or 2 or ....5....and see what has been going on........Adult beverage.....a man's got to have his vitamin A....lol !!

my advice.....DON'T DO IT!!! It's like smoking....don't even start!! Studies have shown that dating leads to marriage and that marriage, in this country, is the leading cause of divorce! ( Don't believe me?? Think on this!.....100% of the people you know that are divorced, at one time, were married! It's the 2nd biggest mistake I ever made in my life!

Probably for the best - you could start getting stalked online by Miz Tisdale if she saw that you looked like Uncle Jesse!
