Well as much as I would love the 24 car back in the championship ring and I do really like Byron. He's a clean and great driver and he's off to a great year...I really hope Chase Elliott starts visiting Victory Lane more often and to earn his second championship. Though if Chase can't do it...I'd want Byron.

I'm so happy for you Spike. It was fantastic. The clouds moved away just in time. I got to see totality with my 10" inch diameter telescope. Breathtaking.

I can't speak for Spike...but for me he's had a couple of run ins with Chase. I wasn't a fan of his before all that, definitely not now. LOL. I just never agreed with his aggressive style of racing others.

Disregard the GoFundMe link. He found a buy her pay here dealer that rolled the $5k into a loan for another car. He just jumped from one deep pool to one where his head is barely above water but whatever. I offered advice and he didn't care to listen. He called last night boasting that it has more options than our cars, So it also has 4x the miles ours do. Heck add the miles of both the wife's and my car's and they still wouldn't come close to his new car. I wish him good luck with it though and hopefully he can keep his head above water on it.

Well...I am keeping up with my failed NASCAR fandom of 2024 and have yet to watch a race this year. They raced at Martinsville where the winner takes up the big grandfather clock. It marks the 40th anniversary for Hendrick Motorsports. Sadly Mr. H (Rick Hendrick) missed it after having knee surgery. Though his team pulled through as William Byron won, Kyle Larson came in second, and Chase Elliott finished third. Giving Hendrick the top three finishing spots of the race. I think William Byron is going to win the championship this year, he is on fire, 3 wins already out of 8 races so far.
