Well there was ONE overcast sky...remember when Jesse went to get the mail once and he commented on how early they send out christnmas stuff? The sky outside the house was overcast.

HAPPY new year HAZZARD fans

I know Cale's death was posted in the NASCAR News section but it just seemed right to put it here too since this is his thread. What a sad day for NASCAR and for Hazzard County. He was Bo and Luke's favorite driver and it was so awesome to have him as the feature character on 2 different episodes. We love you Cale and you will always be missed.

I saw Cale Yarborough died. I was going to post it here. But didn't know if it was real or fake news. Didn't wanna post it and have it turn out to be false, didn't want the Hazzard Net POLICE after me spreading false news around the place.

When I was growing up ( around 3rd grade....1973) the Allisons and Cale were all big names. I went to school with Flookie Buford's nephew, if you know who that is. It was in the same time as Cale and Bobby ( Alison) . I got Flookie's autograph too!

I don't know if it was the same in the US, but a lot of people here were commenting that it didn't feel much like Christmas, even in the final run-up last week (even with the constant Christmas music!). Maybe it's because most people had a full working week up until the December 22nd. Despite this, everyone I know seems to have had an enjoyable Christmas when it finally came. I hope the same is true for y'all. New Year's only two hours away here, but I'm not sure I have the energy to stay up until midnight. Happy New Year to all on HazzardNet.

I never thought about it but you're right there was no rain or overcast skies. The Duke boys used as lot of GAS racing around Hazzard County.

Sorry to get your hopes up about Chase. I guess the race wasn't in Hazzard County. If it was, it would have had a happy ending.

Cale was on two - 'Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough' and 'Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard'. Very sad to hear of his death. I read this just after seeing that former Indianapolis 500 winner Gil de Ferran passed away on Friday at just 56. Well...I was wanting to start talking NASCAR more...but not like this. NASCAR lost a great legend today as Cale Yarborough has passed away. He even was on an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. Sadly he was before my time of watching NASCAR, but I have to say that my favorite story of his was at the Daytona and his fight with the Allison brothers on the first televised race. Thanks Boss. You too. We got snow the last couple days but it's sadly going to melt. Looks like a green Christmas for us. It will still be good.....except first year without my daughter so that will be a challenge.
