Gray car

You forgot to mention that the General was green in 'Southern Comfurts'. Regarding the color, apparently they used Big Bad Orange in the movies. For the series, it's widely published that the General was Corvette Flame Red, but I found a 2020 article which includes a video of Travis Bell on Ed Bolian's VINwiki YouTube channel. He claims to have color-scanned the trunk of the original General and found the color to be TNT Express. That's a color I'm familiar with because it was used by the TNT Express shipping company (similar to FedEx or UPS), and I'd often see their trucks on the motorway. It looks like TNT Express was bought out by FedEx nearly a year ago. Here's the video:2 points -
Runaway Satellite!

I think it was the '73 Road Runner that they had trouble getting parts for, despite it being a later model. I'm pretty sure that the decision to switch to the Jeep was mainly because of the sponsorship, although it also meant that we got to see more of Cathy's legs! You should probably check out image hosting sites. Flickr lets you host up to 1,000 images for free. Here's a picture of the Satellite (which they painted to look like the later Road Runner):2 points -
I have this 1977 Monaco i have had for about 5 years now and it is time for it to go to a good home and get made in to a Rosco clone car. It is the perfect car the body is solid because cars don't rot here in Texas. the interior is pretty rough but all floor pans are solid. Oh, it is mechanically sound the A/C does works great but needs a charge every couple years so it has a small leak. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere it runs and drives that good. Just send me a message i have tons of pictures and video of the car.1 point

I’m not gonna lie... I do not care for Season 2’s “The Runaway”. I remember watching this one when it originally aired. I never cared for the plot...but, the worst aspect was losing Daisy’s 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Coupe! I loved that car, 2nd only to General Lee...but, the story goes that supposedly they found it hard to find replacement parts for the Satellite (although the car was barely 9 years old at the time? ) & Jeep offered the show some new 1980 models to showcase, so they had Daisy’s Plymouth destroyed by running it over a cliff. Then they bring in this dorky (my opinion) white Jeep called ‘Dixie’. Daisy finishes out the show with the Jeep (a couple different model years were used throughout the show’s run), but I will always love the Satellite best!! (Note: the episode “Arrest Jesse Duke” aired 2 episodes before this, and for whatever reason/s was aired out of order...as Daisy already had Dixie with no explanation.) I’d add a photo of the Satellite, but no matter what pic (of anything or anyone) I try to add, it always says it’s supposedly too big.1 point

I have the 1:18 scale diecast model of it—with Daisy’s action figure sitting on the hood. I also have 1:18 scale diecast models of all the “Dukes” vehicles (with action figures displayed in or beside them), except the Jeep & Cooter’s tow truck—which I think are now available. I also wish a diecast model of Boss Hogg’s Caddy would be created, but probably won’t happen. Whatever thread I create or post in on this site, I can’t ever get photos to work...it always says they’re too big, regardless of the size. Not sure how to change the size, or how to get them to work? I’m not a techie.1 point -
The image is similar to the one on IMCDb, but it's a screengrab that I made and host in my Photobucket account. I originally posted it in the Dukes of Hazzard Diecast Models thread.1 point

It was pretty disappointing to lose the car. Not as bad as losing Bo and Luke but at least they came back. Of course the car did too since the episodes were aired out of order from when they were filmed.1 point

Whenever my motorcycle gets here I'll probably be joining FB again. When I had my Ninja there was a great forum for it but my new bike must not popular enough to have any active forum but it is active on FB. I'll look you up Skipper. It might be awhile though....still don't know when it will get here. I'll be using the name Jesse Duke....not Roger Duke like I did.1 point -

Yeah, I’ve read before that originally it was the Road Runner that they started having trouble finding replacement parts for. So, they switched to the Satellite. However, eventually for whatever reason they started having trouble finding parts for it too...although neither car were that old at the time & I find it hard to believe that the Chrysler Corporation didn’t have parts to order if needed. People seem to find parts nowadays, when restoring or fixing them up. I think you’re right...the decision to destroy the Plymouth Satellite was to showcase the new Jeep. To each his or her own...but I seriously disagree with that decision. Daisy should have kept the Satellite. The image of the Satellite you posted looks to be from IMCDb (even if someone posted it on Flickr, as well). I too have tried using the pic, but no matter where I get it from, this site always says it’s too big. This is the only fansite I have trouble posting photos on sometimes. I’m not sure how you got it to work??1 point

The Nascar Silly Season really took a swing for the fences... Kyle Busch left Joe Gibbs Racing for Richard Childress Racing and will drive the #8 Chevy Camaro for 2023 and it sounds like he signed a long term contract https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2022/09/13/kyle-busch-to-join-richard-childress-racing-in-2023/ Tyler Reddick is either going to drive a 3rd RCR car or if Kurt Busch retires, 2311 racing could buyout his RCR contract or since Kyle Busch is leaving JGR they could buy out his contract and have him drive the #18 for a year.1 point

Welcome to HNet, tmgomez. The car looks great. For anyone who's interested in buying the car, just be aware that the sale has no connection to HazzardNet. Any deals are between members.1 point

Certainly not! As a certified Coltrane I most definetly give a darn about the patrol cars.... ....but I don't have one myself. LOL. However, I have seen, online, pics of restored Fury's gaining new life as replica HCSD cruisers. Some have even been for sale on eBay. I think the patrol cars are starting to gain a little bit of ground in the resto area, followed by Daisy's Jeep. Which, when ya think about it, makes sense. General Lee might get kinda lonely if that big ol' white Plymouth wasn't trying to nip it's tail. Khee!1 point -

Just blocked someone. On Facebook. Argument with me GENERAL LEE was gray in the TV pilot. No it was not. Never gray. Always orange. Corvette Flame Red Code Dupont 70 to be more precise. It was black in the story flashback Happy Birthday General Lee before getting the now famous paint that we all know. In the original idea, it was to be Confederate Gray and called Traveler after General Lee's horse. With 99 on the doors and flag on the hood. All that changed in the final product to the name of the man himself and 01 doors and flag moved to roof with the GENERAL LEE text on sides of the flag. The original plan(treatment)must be what he's thinking about. Idk where else other than that he gets the gray crap from. He has learned do not argue Dukes with me you will lose. LOL.0 points
