I'm sure Roger would have liked my afternoon - a charity tractor run went through town. I think each vehicle had to pay €20 to join the convoy, and there were plenty of people shaking buckets along the route. As well as tractors, there were also a good few trucks, and I nearly went deaf as they all sounded their horns as they went by. The majority were decorated with Santas and Christmas lights. I lost count of the number of vehicles, but they took almost half an hour to pass. I'd say there must've been around 200 altogether.3 points -

Anybody play the game Wordscape? Between games they have advertisements and one has been popping up with Hallmark Christmas movies and for a brief moment they show John Schneider and Reba McIntire. When I first saw it I yelled to my wife "Hey, there's a Duke boy on my Wordscape game!"2 points -

Thanks, Hobie. I had a very painful, stiff shoulder in the middle of last week - it's apparently a known after effect of being inflated with CO2. That kept me awake for a couple of nights with only strong painkillers and a hot water bottle giving a few hours of respite. Luckily, that's now eased considerably, and last night I got the most sleep I've had for over a week. I stupidly went straight back to work last Monday. I initially felt OK, but by the end of the day I was exhausted. Tuesday I did less than half a day, and then I gradually built up to about 80% by Friday. This week I'm back to normal hours, so fingers crossed I get on alright. I survived today!1 point -
Wife and I finally got the Christmas tree up with a twist...We bought a potted live one instead of dragging the artificial one out and moving furniture to find a place to put it. Got the tallest live Alberta Spruce at the nearby Lowe's, it's about a 3 footer. Saturday we took a tour of the Stranahan mansion all decorated. I shot video and a few pics will edit it together and post it on my YouTube channel within a week or two. Only two rooms were underwhelming, one looks like the person who won the lottery to design that room either didn't have the time or was just lazy as all they did was put up a pre lighted tree and didn't even put ornaments on it. The master bath was the best, it was decorated like Halloween.1 point

Thanks. I miss you guys too. I've been super busy, but I'm currently on leave for the rest of the year due to work stress. I think you can count on two fingers how many years in the past decade or so I haven't had a surgery or a medical procedure of some type. Fortunately, aside from stress and fatigue, I'm doing pretty well right now and I'm looking forward to Christmas and my birthday. All the presents have been bought and wrapped. The house is decorated, the tree is up. The nog is chilling in the fridge (and we have a little rum in the pantry to mix in... ). I'm ready!1 point -

I had to read it twice too, but that's because the first time I read the opening paragraphs, I thought they were implying that these were from the original show. Cars from Ray Kohn's stunt show makes much more sense, especially as I don't remember a 1973 Dodge Polara appearing as a patrol car (there was a 1970 model in 'One Armed Bandits'). Is it my imagination, or is that Uncle Jesse's pickup in the background of the shot showing the good side of the General? It doesn't appear in any other views. Roger, the comments on Instagram say that the junk yard is in Woodlawn, VA. Maybe you could make them an offer if you can find it!1 point -

I was told today that about 240 vehicles took part, so I underestimated!0 points -
We had the prospect of a great finale with the two title contenders starting first and second. As a bonus, the race was also live on free-to-air TV. I'm still annoyed by the ending, which is why I didn't post the result myself. What a complete mess it turned out to be after such a great season. If it had been a straight wheel-to-wheel fight I'd have been fine with the outcome, but the race stewards seemed to decide which rules to follow as they went along. Normally they either resume racing in the order they stack up behind the safety car, or they let lapped cars overtake to unlap themselves, but yesterday they just let the five cars between Lewis and Max go through and almost immediately restarted the race. Mercedes still plan to appeal the result, so this still may not be the end of it. At this point I'm not even sure if I'll be watching next year!0 points

Glad to hear you're recovering @HossC. Gallbladder issues run in my family. My paternal grandmother, dad, and sister have all had theirs out and doctors are monitoring my nephew's, which will probably have to be removed eventually. I've had my own scares and testing for the same, but so far no surgery. I've had five other surgeries in the last 13 years though, so I completely understand that soreness and problems with coughing. Take care of yourself.0 points
