I didn't like the reunion movies for many reasons but the biggest is what you stated here. There is no way all 3 younger Dukes would have left Jesse alone. They would have called in Coy and Vance at the very least. And there is no way Boss Hogg would die. They should have had him be out of town on business or something. Of course, that would have required a different plot and script. You can tell these reunion shows were written by people who weren't really fans of the show. I doubt they even consulted with any super- fans.
Well, I seen them yesterday and I gotta say it was disappointing and sad, at the same time.
Uncle Jesse sort of felt lost and alone and it just didn't feel rigjt, Roscoe should've retired years ago, and Coy, Vance and Hughie Hogg weren't even included for these reunion flicks.
But the one I missed the most? Boss.
However, I did enjoy Toby Keith's performance and he's probably glad to be part of it.
(Season 5 Coy Meets Girl)
In the kitchen of the Duke Farm house Run away orphan girl Bobby Lee Jordan's dog Max is sitting on the floor beside the table, while Bobby Lee stands up off to the side. He looks at her with sad puppy dog eyes and an "Oooh you lied to the Dukes Shame on you mom!" kind of look. Bobby Lee Jordan:"Now don't make me feel any worse than I do already. If we're gonna stay outta that orphanage, I gotta keep my mouth shut!"
I get earworms all the time. I can often get rid of them by listening to the whole song, but that can be a problem when it's a song I don't know from the radio or a commercial. Sometimes I wake up with a song in my head, and I can't remember why I'm humming it as I get ready for work. Then there are the random things that put songs into your head. Recently at work I came across a folder labeled "Incidents & Accidents" - I immediately started humming Paul Simon's 'You Can Call Me Al'!
