    Hello.

Hi, all. I'm a newish Dukes of Hazzard fan as I first watched random episodes of the show on TV a few years ago and now I'm watching them in their respective order, so far I'm on Season 4 and really enjoying it. That said, I'm glad there's this community as the show has been deemed "racist" by the media and so many would rather avoid talking about it even though the boys, Hogg and everyone were never offensive/racist (Hogg and Rosco were corrupt and slimy, but that's their thing). Bye.

    One Word Song Titles

BTW. John's version of "Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way" was also on the soundtrack of his 2006 movie "Collier & Co."

    Child's Play franchise

The ending of The Village just made the film a waste of time in my opinion. It's because of that movie I'm wary of watching any other films by Shyamalan. The ones he did before that were great. I love ghost story movies myself. The Conjuring and Annabelle ones are great. I guess growing up in a haunted house made me a fan of the genre. I'll never forget the look on my then girlfriend's, now wife, face when the one rocking chair slid across the floor on it's own. Had to explain to her it was just the friendly child ghost just goofing off. Sorry to get off topic...

    The last 24 hours

Lately I've been bingeing videos on the Project Farm channel on YouTube. It's nice to see some honest comparison tests on various products from a good old country boy. Did some zen gardening yesterday morning, that helped drop my stress level. Weather wise we might set two records this week. Forecasters are saying we might set a new high temp tomorrow and a new low temp Friday morning.

Good to be here. My dad actually brought me up on the show. I was born in 81. About 4 or 5 I started to watch the dukes. By this time Bo N Luke had left for awhile to get there royalties owed. Can t remember what episode it was close to Bo N Luke return. Maybe two to 3 episodes of Coy N Vance left. A security guard was guarding 1 replica of the general. He told me and my dad that the actors were up in a tower ( Oxnard ca). I had also owned two sets of the general lee with Bo n Luke megos. Had Boss hogg and Roscoe too. I can t really say I have a favorite season of the dukes I love them all. I will say S3 Carnival of Thrills , S4 Miss Tri-Counties. Welcome Back Bo N Luke S5 and the pilot 1 armed bandits rank in my favorite episodes. Never met any of the cast members I do follow them on Facebook though. The closest I got beside seeing the General Lee replica. Had to be getting an email response back from Byron Cherry ( Coy Duke himself) don't remember it was something similar to Bo s extravaganza. I'd also like to share that when John Schneider Bo Duke first started out as Bo. My dad's second cousin ( Leslie Gale Mott) dated John for a short time she was making it as an extra I guess. Her father got to talk to Denver Pyle the most. He also spoke to Tom Wopat , John of course, Catherine Bach, Rick Hurst, Ben Jones. Sorell and James don't think Sonny Shroyer or Peggy Rea. Possibly Nedra Voltz. Lol yes as we speak I'm rewatching my dvds all 7 seasons and the 2 tv reunion movies. I'm currently on S5 the Coy N Vance episodes.

    Hello.

Welcome to HNet, Philip. I'm sure you're aware of the temporary cast changes you can expect in season 5, but you've still got some great episodes to come.

  9. I'm not into horror movies either. I do like scarey movies that have monsters in them but not movies where people are hurting other people. I just saw "The Cabin in the Woods". That was good. So was "The Village". Cabin had monsters but Village didn't.

    DOH sound track

We were coming home from the hospital in Erie last night (actually 4:00 in the morning). It's about a 40 minute drive. There's a classic country station (Willie 95.1) way south of Erie that doesn't come in there but as you drive south it starts to come in. I thought about it when I was 15 minutes from home so turned it on. The second I turned the radio on the next song was getting started....The theme to Dukes of Hazzard!.....I couldn't believe it. I listened to it and turned the radio off after it was over to keep it in my head. It was a much needed miracle since I needed a pick me up after a rough sleepless night.

    Charlie Daniels

Charlie Daniels passed away this morning of a stroke. He was often called the hardest working man in the entertainment business. He has been my favorite singer for decades and I will miss him. I had the opportunity to speak to him three times and it was awesome. The first time I got my picture taken with him. The next time I got it autographed. The third time we talked about patriotism. Two of his songs "What this World Needs is a Few More Rednecks" and "Simple Man" are amongst my all-time favorites. My favorite Charlie moment was listening to him sing "How Great Thou Art" under a beautiful twilight West Virginia sky. Good bye Charlie. You will be missed. The world has lost a great man. I only wish Rosco would have caught you in a speedtrap. I would have loved to see you in the Boar's Nest but I guess you must have outsmarted him.

    Charlie Daniels

Thanks Hoss. I went to 4 of his concerts. The one in my home county is the only one where I didn't get to talk to him. I'll always appreciate that picture of him at the Duke farm you got for me....even though it might have been altered a little. It is still so sweet!

  15. Wheels--Tom Wopat!! The song was originally done by the country group Restless Heart, who took it to No. 1 in 1987.

  16. Roof had a Rebel Flag, but he wasn't a Dukes' fan, right? What other folks are saying is that people and even certain media outlets will target the Dukes of Hazzard until it gets banned like other products out there have. You've heard about the Dr. Seuss books, correct? Six of them have been deemed "racist" and apparently, even if someone tries to sell on eBay they'll be removed (I haven't checked though I wouldn't be surprised). Those who want to cancel everything will eventually be canceled themselves. People around the world are losing freedom and free speech, yet they can't see it.

  17. I'm not into horror movies, so to me, Brad Dourif is Billy in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'. Fiona Dourif played the pretty scary Bart Curlish in 'Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency' a few years ago. Maybe that's how she got this part. Warning: The video below contains violence!

  18. Unfortunately IT already came way back when Dylan Roof went on that killing spree in that SC church in 2015.
