I couldn't find where your seldom mentioned characters post was Roger, so I just put this here. Charlie Wooten had just painted double lines on a dirt road and the Dukes crossed the freshly painted double lines in " Pin the Tail On The Dukes." I can't remember Charlie anywhere else but I'm sure the Dukes knew him from way back just like everybody knows everybody from way back in Hazzard! ( This is one of the things I like best about the show and about Hazzard!....kinda like where I'm from!) In this episode, I can't remember where I've seen him before, but the guy who played Hector Farley, looks familiar.
He was played by Henry Jones. His acting credits start in 1943 and go up to 1995, so I don't know what era you're remembering him from. Check out his IMDb page to see if anything rings a bell.
Went junkyarding today. Was looking to get some aluminum rims for my car but those were all gone so I got the last set of steelies for $50. Sucks they had cheap walmart tires on them otherwise I might've just thrown them on the car today but I'll be getting some new tires next weekend. The wife always comes to the junkyard with me and without fail there were a few guys shocked that a woman was there getting parts off a car .
With the money I saved due to the sale at the JY and a gift card I got for Xmas I stopped at Menards and got myself a new toy, Drill and Impact driver kit. Heard a bunch of those impact drivers at the JY while I was busting the lugnuts loose by hand and told myself I'm getting one.
Another one I liked in this episode, was when boss was eating all those donuts and Rosco was thinking Boss was going to be mad at him. When he wasn't and he was having to guess why, he, fig. he was mad or sick and then he guessed because Boss lost 20 lbs. and Boss, said, " ...... " I may get angry"......lol! THAT has always made me laugh! WHO would be mad if some one guessed you lost 20 lbs.??
Looking at IMDb, Christmas Cars seems to divide opinion. There are three reviews there at the moment, two of which give it 10/10 while the other describes it as "an amateurish, cheesy and very cheap production devoid of any significance in acting and directing." I saw Byron Cherry's name on the cover, but he isn't listed on IMDb, so it's good to get confirmation that he's in the movie.
With the New Year holidays, I almost forgot that it was Saturday today!
Anyway, I noticed a small disclaimer at the start of each episode - a message across the bottom of the screen saying "1970s comedy-drama with dialogue and imagery of the time". I don't recall it being there last time they showed Dukes, but if a 10 second message under the preview scene is what it takes to keep Dukes on the air in 2021, I have no problem with that.
